  1. Thanks a lot ! I don't have any of those two modules, so I'm now hoping for a bundle Hornet/Carrier or F14/Carrier...
  2. Sorry if I ask a dumb question, but I read the 21 pages and couldn't find an answer to it : I'm far from a specialist, so what modules will be able to take off from the carrier, apart from the Hornet and the Tomcat ? I really love what I see so far, this carrier is awesome and I'm looking forward to being part of it ! :-)
  3. That's my "religion" too. And for every step, I first use Chuck's guides, a must have, and I only get to the full .pdf guides if I need more indepth information.
  4. Same here, latest stable version, no mod, vanilla install, and the gunsight disappears from time to time.
  5. So we should eventually get it fixed in the stable version soon™ ?
  6. Latest stable version 2.5.5.33184 here too ;-)
  7. I restarted DCS and tried the same mission again, with failures off, then failures on, but I couldn't reproduce the bug. I don't understand what's going on, sorry.
  8. I think it's still a bug unfortunately, it just happened to me. I just flew two missions a few minutes ago and my gunsight disappeared in both, just after a couple minutes. Random failures are on, I'll go back and try with failures set to off just to make sure .
  9. For a beginner, I'd say F-86F Sabre, AJS-37 Viggen and Mirage 2000C are the easiest jets to learn. As a beginner I started with the A10C and found it too overwhelming in my taste.
  10. vrcover.com sells facial interfaces with a thicker foam, maybe it could be useful for you ? https://vrcover.com/product/oculus-rift-facial-interface-foam-replacement-standard-set-2/
  11. I put spiral wrap on the cable that I can't store every time Some pictures, as promised :
  12. Since I have to all tidy up everytimes (because of other uses of my place (project cars and other VR games that need much room) and because of my cat chewing cables :music_whistling: ), my throttle and stick are mounted on two former bar stools with their seats removed :smilewink: I'll post a picture as soon as possible :)
  13. I'm more into warbirds and helos than modern planes, so I binded mostly UI commands on my G13 (F keys, pause, escape...etc) , but when I need to type numbers, such as switching between pilot, copilot...etc, or radio command choice, I have the numbers mapped just under my thumb on my G600 mouse
  14. I use mainly voice attack too, and a G13
  15. The cockpit in english is in the MI-8 options for a while now :music_whistling: Buy it, you won't regret, she's a nice girl to fly, you learnt what you have to know with the Huey. I have the Huey, the MI-8 and the Gazelle, the Gazelle is my least favorite, and I spend hours in the Huey and the MI-8, just flying around
  16. I saw the control indicator in the huey, but high above my head, to the left :)
  17. I didn't change the whole path but just what was needed, I'm pretty sure I did well. But thanks again anyway  I'll give SkateZilla's utility a try :)
  18. I followed every step as you perfectly described but when I launch DCS 1.5 with my new shortcut (release version) I end up in the hangar without any menu showing, same thing as when I tried once to launch DCS through Oculus home... What did I do wrong ? :( (I haven't tried with DCS2 open alpha yet)
  19. Found it, but it lacks explanations for dummies like me :( Do I have to rename the target in the properties tab ?
  20. Same for me, I have two pairs of glasses : one pair is 14.3 cm wide and though they fit in, they're a bit too wide for the Rift, and they often come with the Rift when I take it off, the other pair is 13.5 cm wide and I almost forget I'm wearing them. I also have contact lenses and they are of course the most comfortable to use :)
  21. Voice Attack is a must have, very easy to use. I love doing my cold starts without even reaching my mouse. Starting my A10 or my MI-8 only with voice commands is so fun ! And shouting orders to the side gunners in the Huey in the heat of combat is something you have to experience once
  22. I used to play on a 40" 4K and trackIR, everything maxed out, and now I have a Rift. There's no way I would go back. What you lose in definition you gain in realism and immersion, VR is the future of the way you look at all images, you now have the missing dimension so far : relief ! I bought Voice Attack a few month ago when I was considering buying a Rift and created a profile for each module, it's so easy to use and works flawlessly with the built-in mic of the Rift, and I now just need my Hotas, and sometimes my G13. I don't need my keyboard anymore, and I seldom use my mouse. It's just impossible to precisely describe what you experience with VR, and no video can show it either, until you put a HMD on. You just enter a whole new world. I will never regret my purchase, though I have so far the minimal configuration with a I7 5820k@3.30GHz, a gtx970 and 32Go RAM :)
