  1. Nope and absolutely not, might do ok against the F-4E, and F-5Es though
  2. It does, but it also has a pretty steep learning curve. There's a point when convenience gives way because I now have to memorize dozens of functions, many of which are situational. But that's just my take. For me the F-16 strikes the balance perfectly, intuitive without being cumbersome.
  3. Well I think it's just more of the same, how many more different ways to we need to to deliver bombs. We in fact, do Not have any dedicated modern air Superiority fighters in DCS that are full fidelity.
  4. Yes please
  5. My ideal concept would be a product with epic module pricing and for that you first get a Ultra modern USAF/ANG F-15C Golden Eagle with optional CFTs, the PAD, Sniper, AESA, 9X, 120C7/D (all barring available information of course) So, in other words, the most modern they can get. Then in the same pack you also get a classic F-15A with just Aim-7/9s no OWS, no MFD, ect. ect. That way we have a real rival for the Eurofighter (which left unchecked is just going to be the most effective jet in DCS, hands down when it comes out) and at the same time we have a nice match up for the red side with only SARH, which should allow proper cold war era BVR combat where the SUs and MiGs would be on much more even ground, and it would fit perfectly with all the other 80s assets we have.
  6. That is true, It certainly has greater A2G capability then the F-5E. Plus Considering the multitude of trainers floating around in DCS, I don't see why a dedicated air superiority aircraft doesn't provide enough gameplay versatility. Maybe its cost/resource allocation issue in their minds. But I still wouldn't agree with that, considering the state of the FC3 Module and the apparent easiness of simply converting that asset into a full fidelity product but maybe I'm ignorant. Seems like a good slug of people want it, and more then half the work is already done. I don't know, Maybe they are worried having a third party developing the F-15E might affect sales for a potential F-15C negatively since there are those who might see both for sale and go with the one that has more bells and whistles. But I think that could also be solved by A. setting a reasonable price point, say half that of the F-15E, (Arbitrarily) or B. Selling it for a similar price level but providing several distinct versions representing different eras, time periods and or operators of the jet like Heatblurs approach with the F-14A/A+ along with a good amount of updated support assets, like new or updated 3D modules for AI or something along those lines. It could be done in a way that gives us the jet and earns them enough money, in my mind.
  7. Looks like ATFLIR has a WIP label now that’s gotta be a good sign. For me personally the CM fixes/updated HOTAS commands are top on my wishlist, those and data card functionality of course.
  8. Yeah 01 to 03 is when they got FDL integration.
  9. F-14s AWG-9 has something to say about that, perfectly cable of independent search and track. An ASM of the Eagles radar would give you the exact same capabilities. Not that you can't now but the range and fine tuning required for that aren't available ATM thanks to FC balancing back in the day, which also means we don't have the Situational page for Link-16/MIDS. Go figure.
  10. I know but with OWS pilots are probably a lot less likely to overload the jet vs just the gauge. So that would affect the data. But either way, in regards the the F-14. it seems like overloads are a significantly less common then people make them out to be, based on that report. Taking the aircraft passed 7.5 is/was certainly a non standard practice in ACM.
  11. Is that with the OWS?
  12. So in Approximately 500 ACM engagements (31 hours) they recorded only 38 overloads beyond 7.5 and only 6 of those were in in the 9G range? Based on table 7 and Fig. 2 These second charts were also specifically testing aircraft doing ACM practice.
  13. Based on these graphs the exceedes per flight hour above 7.5 is actually quite low, ~1/100 hours or less, that's not what I would call regular at all.
  14. The hornet CAN do a great many things, It CAN'T do many things great. The F-15C is significantly better in the AA department then any of the jets currently in DCS. The tomcat gives it a run for its money, but really until the eurofighter comes out, its firmly the AA king. That has to do with speed and altitude. However before the Peanut gallery pipes in Dogfighting puts things on more or less equal terms for pretty much everything in the game. But in realistic scenarios, flown correctly, the F-15C has all the advantages. In fact the FC3 version under-represents its capabilities in a few ways.
  15. An 80s F-15 would be fantastic. IMO too. Really any Eagle with clicky cockpit.
  16. Why do you need the F-4E, you've got the F-14A, and F-5E? They're making the A-7, and F-8 Too? Same reasoning.
  17. I mean you could say the exact same thing to people that want the MI-24, "you already have the KA-50 and MI-8, why do you need ANOTHER red heli" The answer is because they want the Hind too. I don't understand why we can't have both. I want the F-15C simply because it was and still is the primer AA fighter in the USAF for decades. It's just the history that appeals to me. Would I also buy a MiG-29A/S/UB, or an SU-27S/30MKK?? Absolutely, but I still want the F-15C, and I KNOWN ED can make it happen.
  18. I made the poll because I want the F-15C in DCS and I wanted to see if others felt the same.
  19. He acknowledged our concerns and they're going to see what they can do. No need to loose our minds. He's not telling YOU to use shader mods he's saying he does. And balancing lighting with EDs is difficult and it's super subjective especially when everyone has their own gamma preferences.
  20. He said they're looking in too it.
  21. I mean I'd pay whatever for one personally, but For the sake of Argument, Say 40 Bucks US for the Module outright and 30 discount at release if you already own the FC3 version. Since its really only an AA platform with limited dumb bomb capability. Shouldn't need to be EPIC module status like the hornet or viper. The FM is already done and that is the most time intensive part of development, just need to implement systems. Many of which already "work" under the hood right now like Electrical and Hydro, but just don't have any interactivity. The weapons and sensors shouldn't present a huge Hurdle either as the Hornet has largely paved the way for complex code integration. But pretty much all of those systems are legacy LOMAC, and need complete reworks. At this point it should be fairly straight forward, I would imagine. I.E. no technology needs to be invented for this module. IMHO it's low hanging fruit for ED and there is absolutely a market for it, which is what I'm trying to show them with this Poll.
  22. The thread has, not the forum section. The Forum section was this year.
  23. I was wondering when you'd get here..
  24. This was my problem, have to react to things that haven't happened yet.
  25. Yeah I really like that idea, because I think an earlier version would fit the red side we have better and a later version could take on the eurofighter competitively.
