  1. Hi all, So I'm kind of new to black shark. I've got Ricardo's Cockpit Mod, and it's great. The only thing I had a question about was this panel I did some snooping around in the files and found that the table on the plaque itself is created by a .lua file in ...DCS 1.5 Beta\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Cockpit\Scripts\ARK ARK.lua I believe it's called. I'd like to be pointed to some source to teach me how to translate the text generated by the script to English. Thanks!
  2. Oh, is it still every 6? I was under the impression it was 4 every 24. I stand corrected. Sorry. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  3. It's happened a few times. Last night we were attacking Nalchik. We got the pop up, I was in a KA-50 almost right over the field. I checked all the burnt out carcasses, nothing respawned. Finished the last couple vehicles up, huey came in and we captured. We don't like the respawn in whole we are over the target though. It's really unfair, with no warning to get a bunch of AAA and SAMS spawning on you after you've already killed them is kind of BS. Especially with only 4 lives per day now. 4. Are the repair messages for the airfields and such still accurate. I've noticed a few times I've gotten a field has been repaired while I was still attacking and it definitely wasn't. Seemed like a leftover script item. To be clear, I'm asking for the repair messages to be fixed, not adding the repair while I'm still there, I'm happy to see that issue seems to be taken care of, making for a better experience. We're the objective repairs changed? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  5. I'd say 15 NM but I agree. 10 maybe, at the very least.
  6. Haha, just imagine clearing a city by yourself, on the last gun run to clear the last shilka, as you tell the huey to come on inbound, you get shot down by that SA-13 you shot when you first got there... just because the timer ran up. That's annoying is all. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  7. I understand, and I like the idea. I think it's just too short of a time. When I was in the campaign we had an eagle, hog, and a huey all working together. But by time I found all the vehicles they respawned. I had to close the FARP twice and the huey was only around the corner. 15 minutes is just a REALLY short time to respawn. I just think the respawn time should be lengthened is all Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  8. Hey, just a thought, can the respawn time on the ground targets be lengthened a little? Ran into an issue where while I was still over the target the units were respawning. Just doesn't seem fair for the helo guys. If a bunch of attack guys take out the tgt and they respawn while the helos are coming in. Possible solution, maybe delay the timer to start until after blue units leave the area... Once they leave, the timer can run, but until they leave no units spawn. I don't know, just a thought. Also, like to register a few guys TECNAM (re-reg from Round 3) SHADOW (re-reg from Round 3) Fulcrum Crazy-Canuck
  9. An actual hydraulic system would be nice, if it wasn't so costly. Not worth it, in my opinion. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  10. Is it really so absurd? Most alert fighters scramble in 5-7 minutes. Maybe a bit faster if the pilot is closer. But the average sortie gets into the jet or helicopter almost 30 minutes before their takeoff time. My friends and I hop in an A-10 and don't take off for nearly 20 minutes. The argument that requiring the FC3 planes some takeoff time is quite rooted in reality. Also my vote is for 3 lives per session. This will cover a glitch or something and maybe one life otherwise. How many people would be pissed if you lag into a crash? Happened more than once.
  11. Server is down after reset
  12. Got it, got it, got it. Haha, I read your post too quickly. My bad. Disregard. I'm sorry.
  13. We will disagree then, sir. I will continue to fly on this server. But me and the guys I fly with will do so on a separate teamspeak. We'll chat for our involvement for everyone else. You may call it beating a dead a horse. But I saw a problem, presented a simple, and plausible solution, and explained how it can be implimented. I'm sorry if you can't appreciate that style of problem solving. If you wouldn't like to see progress, ok, I'll leave it alone, In my mind, and the way I fly, tactics and teamwork is more important than the flying itself. But that's just me. I'm trying to help give everyone an option that can best suite the most people. Thank you for recognizing that.
  14. I can't speak for everyone, I know I would. I do believe it'll work a little better.
  15. Here is my suggestion. In case last time I brought it up I wasn't clear enough. Below is what part of my squadron's teamspeak server looks like. As others have said, each flight is usually 2-4 dudes per channel, who can communicate at will. With another channel for AWACS/commanders who can get to everyone at the same time. I think ONE OF THE WAYS to make everyone happy is to add this kind of structure to the Blue Flag Teamspeak. It can keep the same basic structure it has now. Just add flight channels to all the different types of aircraft, just like the picture above. Then you can add one lobby channel in each aircraft type (Attacker, helo, etc...) This way. If you have guys (Like me) who come on and fly with other people and use a lot of comms. We can log onto the Blue Flag TS, hop into a flight channel and fly the way we want, with a whisper set up so we can still hear important stuff. (Otherwise we just go on our squadrons private server and try our best to in game chat) Or, if you have guys that are just on Teamspeak just to be there or to hear those AWACS calls, but don't need to communicate, they can hang out in the Attacker lobby or whatever. The squadrons can keep their channels the way they want. They have their SOP and do things a certain way. I understand that. So long as there are enough flight channels for those people that want/need them so they can play the way they like, I think everyone can be happy with that.
  16. I'm saying the say thing. But adding an incentive for putting yourself in a safe ejection envolope and surviving an ejection, or for landing with a critically damaged airframe and walking away from it. I'm saying to give incentives for actually not killing yourself or jumping out of the slot and reentering.
  17. Well, I think if you're going that route, lessen the time for a successful ejection, even less if you do manage to safely get it on the ground somewhere. I think the real time penalty should be exiting a damaged aircraft and immediately rejoining again.
  18. I agree with this 100% man! I think that's how it should be set up. If you guys are familiar, Falcon BMS did a great job integrating an actual comms server within the multilayer that works through the in game cockpit radios. It's awsome. I really think DCS should get that feature. Adds huge amounts of realsim, all the realsim.
  19. You should really just think of the three minutes as you getting out of your jet and walking to another. That's what'd you actually do, if you had a downed jet. Outside of a minor issue easily fixed before takeoff, you aren't waiting around for a jet to get fixed. Three minutes is ok. Unless you really want to sit around for 15 minutes. Hell, you really think rearming live ordinance takes 1.5 minutes?
  20. Lone wolf perspective: A buddy and me registered for this after finding it this weekend. He flies the A-10A I fly the A-10C. We both fly in a Virtual Wing in a different sim and we just like DCS. We'd like a little more A-10As, just because is hard to get them and an A-10C at the same time. They are only in two bases, but it's not that bad. The real issue is when it's busy and we can't leave from the same base because kutaisi only has 4 LW A-10Cs. We would like to see some more flight channels on the TS, we can't use yours because we communicate a lot when we fly and we need to in order to be effective. We fly on or wings' TS so we can do that. We do our best to both put out what we're doing on team chat, and ask what other people are doing and try and coordinate. But people just chatting in game makes that hard. We really like this and I think it should stay. We haven't had too many problems. I see a lot of talk about too many lone wolf spots. But I think there are just enough. Our suggestions: -A little more A-10A availability -Maybe on lone wolf bases 6 instead of 4 A-10Cs (helps us when I can't get a C spot at the same base as an A) -flight channels in TS so guys flying together can communicate and not clog it for everyone else -some weather would be nice, just wind and some clouds. Top level realism there. -Last, I don't know what's up. But maybe 4 hours instead of 3 hour game time? We usually run out of time if we don't start as soon as the mission starts.
  21. Howdy, I'd like to register two Lone Wolves #1) Shadow (Preferred A-10C) Blue Side (please) #2) Tecnam (Preferred A-10A, A-10C) Blue Side (please) Please just keep us on the same side. Thanks
  22. Could you do the same for the VolairSim seat as well? I have a simular issue that I'm trying to find my way around.
  23. The VolairSim seat as well, for your consideration
