@Stuka Hi, I try to wrap my head around the position of the nav points. It appears when you put the nav points onto the correct coordinates, some of them do not line up very well with the radials of the navaids that also define their position. JUNNO, BLD 344/44 for example seems to be almost two degrees off from the coordinates - so when you fly the current DREAM 7 departure, you will not hit the nav point when using the TACAN. (Magnetic variation has been accounted for, I tried several years with the respective charts from that year). Where's my mistake?

  2. Recruitment is now open for interested Viper drivers. Currently, we are seeking US/Canadian/EU based timezone pilots!

    About the 476th vFighter Group

The 476th vFighter Group is an international multiplayer organization who play the DCS World series simulation by Eagle Dynamics and their third party partners. Currently we operate in both European and Americas time zones. We've just celebrated our 13th anniversary!

We endeavor to employ real world tactics, techniques, and procedures wherever practical while also encouraging a sense of camaraderie and friendship amongst our members. While we take our flying seriously, our Discord and out of game comm platforms are an informal environment. We believe in mil-sim where and when it matters, but we foster an environment based on shared interests and friendships, not ranks and formalities.
We aim to provide an extremely high standard of training to both new members and our existing members in order to ensure that we continuously develop our skills and can continue to enjoy the challenge and experience of learning a realistic flight simulation in a multiplayer environment.

    Viper Training

    • An in depth syllabus (B-Course) that's designed to teach you both basic flying fundamentals as well as tactical employment of the F-16CM.
    • Focused on TTPs - We have detailed, in depth publications, as well as a wealth of additional training materials, including detailed interactive whiteboards, that will help guide your learning to achieve excellence.
    • "Sim" environments to rapidly fly & debrief, driving learning of mission objectives, DLOs (Desired Learning Objectives), and DFPs (Debrief Focus Points).
    • A dedicated instructor cadre committed to our students.
    • Detailed academics sessions, briefings, and debriefings. We want to share our wealth of knowledge with you to take your simulation to the next level.
    • Additional learning opportunities - Finished B-Course and want to deep dive into a specific topic? We've got you covered!
    • Opportunities to grow: FLUG/IPUG syllabi.
    • 24/7 Dedicated servers with server side TacView recording/auto upload. No need to have your personal TacView recording and eating your frames while flying with us.
    • Detailed and comprehensive flight and mission planning tools, documentation, custom assets, etc.
    • A custom DTC fork integrated with our website for seamless and frustration free cockpit and flight plan setup.
    • OMM for hassle free mod maintenance.
    • Flight log tracker with all the metrics you could ever want.
    • Organized and ad-hoc flying opportunities.

We also run a persistent dynamic campaign created by our members, as well as one-off combat missions. No training cycles here. While the majority of our flying is comprised of training scenarios, we encourage our members to take part in bi-weekly combat flights, as well as ad-hoc whenever they choose.

    Who/What We Are

    • Realism enthusiasts in the jet, chill outside of it. No ranks, sir/ma'am, etc. in Discord. We're all bros/broettes here.
    • Dedicated to continual learning and improvement.
    • Strive for excellence.
    • 18+ We're all adults, but treat everyone with respect.
    • Suitable for experienced pilots seeking more out of their sim.

Can someone of you provide a track? I tried loaded barrel rolls with asymmetrical loadout in high altitude, but I can never get into a deep stall. The nose comes around a bit and then I let go of a the stick and it settles itself.

I am genuinely interested in how you depart. Don't get me wrong, I believe you but apparently I am doing it wrong.

Sure, I can get you one later today. But you don't need to be at high alt or even asymmetric. The way I've departed it (and same with the IRL Viper driver) has been doing a tuck under jink. We've both managed to depart it multiple times, and a few of them have been unrecoverable with plenty of altitude above the floor.

To do a tuck under jink: Idle/SB. Pull full aft stick to the limiter to get the nose up a bit, loaded roll, and then unload passing through 90°. Load it back up once oriented to the opposite horizon and assess.

This has nothing to do with Nick, please do not confuse this change with anything else.

While I understand that you're saying this particular issue isn't something ED had prior knowledge/control over, I hope you can still appreciate the general sentiment and feelings that this stirs up regardless. Whether or not ED feels responsible, ultimately DCS is still ED's product, and it reflects poorly to have major content removals or issues as has happened over the past few months. I appreciate that you've asked for an update from the devs, and I hope we'll all get an answer soon.

To OnReTech - This major change without prior communication or open justification is inexcusable. I've recommended your map to people in my group a number of times in hopes of getting a persistent campaign running on it. I cannot in good faith continue to do so when features that were promised/part of the map were removed after money changed hands.

  5. Once you select the fuze settings in ME on the GBU-24B/B, they are permanently white on the modified ones, as seen in the pics below. The USAF green coating cannot be re-added.

    Steps to reproduce:

Go to ME, load up an F-45E-45MC

    Go to Payload Manager
    Set GBU-24B/B
    Edit fuzes
Cannot be changed back once set on those pylons, even after deleting aircraft or loading a new mission. This also persists after a restart of DCS.

  6. It'd be really great if we had the ability to preconfigure a bunch of additional settings in the Mission Editor for our jets.

    • TACAN Channel/Band/Mode
    • JHMCS On/Off (Or even a brightness slider for it in %)
    • Radar modes/settings
    • MFD pages
    • Etc.

I realize that some of this would be covered by a DTC tool, but some of it wouldn't. I've built an air start mission for BFM Perch setups, but having to get everyone to setup their jets every time still delays getting into position to begin.

I’m contemplating this one over the  WW version. Mostly because I saw YT reviews of the WW version that was negative about the deadzone and how that affects the fssb functionality. I have a non fssb WW stick which is great, but I do have issues with the deadzone.

I’m contemplating which stick to go for though. Should I go for the basic stick, or the ce/as version at twice the expense? I have no need for direct memory slots to be honest.

also, none of them are in stock. Any clue when they will be available again?

They should be back in stock at the end of the month. No need to buy the CE/AS unless you want to mount the grip to another (non-RS base).

I'd buy once, cry once. The RS is the better product vs WW.
