While I love the F104 I dont think DCS needs another interceptor.

As I said in a post in another thread, I had 2 fuel bunkers repair in under 10 minutes last night. Was a bit frustrating to be truthful :/

Yes I read it, what part of less than 10 minutes later they were repaired, fits with the 15 to 30 minute repair time?

Greg and Xcom, repair timers are very inconsistent, I took out both fuel bunkers at Beslan tonight within a minute or 2 of each other, got kill messages for both. Less than 10 minutes later 2 brand new fuel bunkers appeared slightly above the 2 still heavily smoking, destroyed fuel bunkers.

Someone explained to me the other day, nose wheel steering automatically turns of at 40KTS, but the rudder only becomes effective at 90KTS or so. So you have a whole 50KTS region where no steering inputs are valid. Dunno if its right, but seems plausible to me.

I think the lack of decent joysticks is down to everyone dropping flight sims, MS got rid of their teams and everyone else seemed to do the same. Before that I had never heard of it, its not widely advertised or known about unless you go looking for something like it.

Select Missions or Training, their relevant missions etc will turn up there I would suggest doing the SU25 training missions as they give you some good knowledge, then do the available missions. This will give you an idea as to whether DCS is the right thing for you etc, before you go blowing $40 and $50 on modules etc only to find out you just arent that into DCS. Grab DCS world 1.5, 2.0 as I say you cant use currently unless you pay for the NTTR map which is $40.

The game only comes with 2 free Aircraft/modules. The TF51 Mustang, a training unarmed version of the Famous P51 Mustang and the SU25T Frogfoot. You can use them for training and a few missions. All the other aircraft/modules need to be purchased via either the Eagle Dynamics website or through the module manager in DCS. Hope this helps. If you have downloaded and installed 2.0 Alpha then you cant do anything at all as this currently requires the NTTR training map to be purchased.
