  1. Pff… 5 pages and just 5% of F-5E skin possibilities showed
  2. Yes, post lightning is what I think about.
  3. That was an old trick but an effective trick anyway. Full scale war simulation could be also avoided since the fun can be found to play dynamic small «incidents» or local conflicts.
  4. Another question: Red light isn't coming from «mushrooms» scattered all over the panels and around the instruments ? In the screenshots, it seems to come from the rectangle shaped lamps, but I think these are UV lamps, the ones that heat so much and have less than 1% of energy efficiency…
  5. Hello, Stupid question: how the afterburner's glow can affect the cockpit thru fuselage ?
  6. There seems to be no hardpoint selection cycle command, only direct selection.
  7. Mirage© 2000C then? or Mirage 2000©? :D
  8. I see M-2000C, M2000 everywhere in DCS including its own manual. For my personal culture, I'm asking why this plane is never called by its real name Mirage 2000C ? Is it a license issue ? It's kind of disturbing because I've always said and heard around me since decades : Le Mirage Deux-Mille. A Mirage is a Mirage, it's a bad ass name for that series of planes in french language, not a meaningless weak M'. :D

    IFF

Cool, so Razbam don't have excuses to not implement it then :D

    IFF

IFF systems seem to be very classified. Even the DCS MiG-21bis has a quick modeled working IFF but the control panel operation is still obscure. In real life there should be just rules, shared flight routes, forbidden areas and ATC following flight progress to avoid doubts about unknown units identification. Currently over Syria we haven't heard about downed aircrafts by error yet. I doubt that Russian's IFF system is compatible with NATO's one, but I may be wrong.
  11. http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/ncc-shuttle-3d-max/801558 Avionics not included
  12. OK. I'll meditate your advice. :flowers:
  13. You're overreacting, what would be the exciting type of mission profile of a F-106 then ? what would be the other more steps that the 3 ones you mentions ? I don't feel ignorant at all yet… Please confirm that YOU don't ignore the B-58 was mach 2 capable in contrast of the hem… stupid caricature examples stating that such bombers flew slow :noexpression: Some interceptors were not literally automatically piloted from ground like drones ? Soviet pilots had not to be radioed every single maneuver by an officer from the ground ? That are the aspects of interception I feel boring. Not to mention the 2km blast radius genie…
  14. Well, that's why I put the word EARLY, because the MiG-21bis looks more like a tactical fighter/ ambush interceptor, than a GCI driven supersonic aircraft flying at high altitude carrying one or two missiles without gun.
  15. Early cold war interceptors are way too boring, just launch a stupid genie and go home… A B-58 or similar penetration bomber would be much more challenging and interactive. Manage you crew, your flight pattern, complex avionics, procedures for nuke delivery, ECM, enemy SAM and interceptors dodging, terrain following, etc…
  16. The two modules :music_whistling:
  17. A pic or video of the real thing would be interesting, because my visual interpretation of this tells me this is spider web…
  18. So true
  19. Aahh that movie is one of my favorites. First thing I would make when the F-14 and A6M2 modules will be released, is the recreation of the aborted showdown scene. What a frustration…
  20. What version of DCS is needed ?? EDIT: DCS 1.5 BETA according to the regulations Too bad I don't want to install it. I love the tournament idea though. I'll see how it goes and wait for the next iteration.
  21. No, the checklist is minimalistic. However the oxygen supply system is supposed to be already operational even during cold startup. That's one of the first things to setup while entering the cockpit according to the real MiG-21bis flight manual. So it's probably a bug.
  22. In multiplayer, balance is one of the most important factors. In real life, pilot training can balance the situation when the opponent has more advanced equipment. Too bad, we are not real pilots.
  23. Because pre-purchase is the norm now. And LN is not ED.
  24. :D My turn: The MiG-21 requires fixings and finishing due to the V1.5 beta. The amount of work seems to have been unexpectedly high. Once its 1.5 final version is released or at least finished or secured, the future modules will be probably announced. So what I expect ? The F-14 has many features. Each one requires massive work and development time. Maybe the 2 intermediate modules would contain individual features identical of the F-14, and would serve as development platforms, and cash income to maintain resources. Su-22M : the one I expect the most. Its avionics is very similar to the MiG-21's, reducing dramatically the development time. Then it would help to build experience with variable wing geometry which is not an easy topic. This aircraft would also introduce a new variation of gameplay. Similar aircrafts could be the MiG-23/27. Any WW2, early jet Navy fighter : for helping to build "basic" advanced carrier operations the F-14 will require. I don't have more precise opinion about the model. The avionics have to be simple. A WW2 carried plane would introduce a new deserted theme in the DCS, until someone releases a worthy opposition like the Zeke. But a Korean war fighter would fill this theme a little more, as well as a probable Korea theater (according to the previous announcements about yet unknown theater in development too) which would be a good thing since my MiG-15 is suffering from uselessness in modern Georgia… Besides, the multi-crew system seems to be developed mainly by ED from the L-39. And there is the ultra complex F/A-18, waiting for a buddy to grow up. Viggen ? Why not, but such a complex aircraft would have be announced for quite a time if it is developed enough to expect a late 2015 release. And it doesn't look like it shares many features with the F-14. I consider it a more like a phantasm than a high probability. F-4 ? Why not too… Some of its data aren't supposed to still be classified to prevent the making a realistic enough DCS module ? Anyway I think its development time would be too long.
