Work around fix for ATC no Taxi authority Hey good Pilots! Not sure this has been mentioned but I just discovered if your not getting authority to Taxi to Runway then try Abort Takeoff! Then ATC will advise Taxi to Parking Area. Then request ATC for authority to Takeoff and that will prompt the Taxi command. Well it worked for me anyway. Cheers

Hey good Pilots, Not sure this has been reported but authority is given for Ramp start but then no ATC response when request Taxi to Runway. Wingmen seems ready to go with all lights evident. After waiting and retrying contact for near 30 mins I taxied and wheels up thinking maybe wingmen would follow but nothing after I reach WP5, so I quit as I needed wingmen to get the job done. Nothing I can see my end, correct radio freq set and only change is my skin and weap loadout. I've had three tries at this one and same result. Really like to finish this campaign. Anyone else having this prob with this particular mission? Regards Gaz

Zoom dilema fixed Hey buddy Yea I kinda prefer it that way as my pinky finger used to sit over it nicely and then my middle sits on the flapper comfortably so I can get a really smooth quick zoom in/out goin. I tried the slider on my throttle but I didn't like it, just a perso pref you know. I had to cancel the nose wheel steer for any function at all as it's not making a good contact so I left it blank ( another TM WH Throttle and Stick button failure and my warranty expired a couple mths back *sigh* ) and that was the cause of the problem, zoom out was getting stuck cause of that NWS button. I still use my Stick flapper to zoom in but now I've mapped the CMS Aft to zoom out, feels good.

Zoom issue resolved After some hours of trial and error, process of illimination, myself and the tireless effort of my good friend Gierasimov discovered it was the HOTAS TM Warthog nose wheel steering button I had mapped as zoom out. Fellow pilots beware, this is the third button that has played up on me in about a year now with TM Hog T and S. Seems like it was getting stuck when fully zoomed out and also perhaps a reduction power issue related to a USB hub I was using. Anyway, we seemed to have isolated the cause. So happy days again. :)

Hey all, Anyone having any problems with the zoom out view getting stuck? I have recorded it and it's the weirdest thing. Views in pit and outside randomly pans max out by its self and just gets stuck there and only normal view is restored after a while. Really annoying and makes flying totally unenjoyable and near impossible. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? It occurs in my created missions and game campaigns in Caucasus, I haven't tried NTTR yet. Track IR disengaged.. same results. Only started a day or two ago after latest update. Any feedback much appreciated. Cheers G

Pedal to the Medal Wow, that's interesting, shame I used to have heaps incl the VC and the PH then I somehow lost them all a while ago in the change over. And thanks kindly HF, appreciate that. Funny enough only yest my rank was elevated to Capt and a medal awarded but only showed written rank in logbook and medal tally still blank. And recently Support got back to me and said they would address it in the next update, so that's good. Cheers G

Hey good Pilots, A-10C Georgian Hammer with CA 5-1-0 in 2.5 has a problem with clearing Uzi , Ford and Enfield from my Radio menu after they request tasking. I've flown and completed this Campaign in 1.5 when good ole MadDog_IC one of our tireless Beta testers managed to fix a heap of these missions and made the Campaign workable. I've flown this particular mission 4 times now with the same results. All starts ok and Wingmen obeys attacking ground target commands perfectly but then when Pike and Maple await orders and message fades from screen, I choose Other then Uzi 7-1 , Ford 6-1 and Enfield 9-1 cannot be given tasks. I've tried various frequencies, AM and FM but still no good. I'm interested to know if anyone has completed this mission? as without finishing it, how can one advance to the next and ultimately finish this Campaign? My last try ended with DCS crashing to Win. No Medals yet Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback No response from my Ticket yet, hopefully it's not thrown in the "couldn't be arsed basket". I send in Logbook and script/lua of medals awarded and also just this afternoon was awarded "Medal of Gallantry" and guess what.. no show in Log Book. I'm starting to get the jack with all these bugs man. I recall not that long ago I was giving ED such an awesome rap and a big thankyou for 2.5 as I was so impressed and blown away by the upgrade but now it seems that a lot of missions I fly and Campaigns I embark on, well, there's so many things that need attention. When will all this be fixed I wonder? Don't get me wrong, I still believe DCS is the greatest flight sim on the market and my favourite hobby and probably always will be and I keep throwing my $$$ at them too but these issues just seem so endless. Sure can be frustrating sometimes. Overall, still fun tho

Award Medal Bug That is an astounding and awesome effort mate and I thankyou big time for doing that. I did send off the details I posted here initially to ED Support so I'm hoping they can repair this BUG. As I'm kind of missing the ole medals being awarded and I had a stack of them before the new install. And I'm wondering if it matters which map I fly? I'm guessing not tho. Thanks again Gierasimov! Thanks BN for your reply, the only change I made was from USA to Australia and only just noticed this problem before my post and also medals not showing anywhere in logbook no matter which AC or country I choose. Never had this issue before. Thanks again for interest. Edit, ok thanks

So I'm flying my Hog in that ole Georgian Hammer with CA campaign "Drop Bridge", I think about the 5th or 6th mission. Well, I just wanted to do the whole thing again as I enjoyed it so much in 1.5 and it just looks so awesome now. Anyway, finished that and then I was just F2 ing around to see what was out there and noticed a F/A-18C just sitting over the ocean, like miles and miles out. No one flying it, no sound, just sitting in mid air. I thought maybe the pilot jumped out for a swim but nope couldn't see him, was weird man. So, then later in another mission my Track Point / TGP cam just locked onto this train! And it actually stayed with it over a bridge and I didn't instigate it and I think I could've slaved a Mav onto it but I didn't, as I didn't like the idea of taking out Civies. I can't recall back in 1.5 that we were able to lock onto trains? Anyway, strange days indeed.

Hey folks, Just wondering do you think that it will ever be possible for civilian cars and trucks to not pass through our ground units? Doesn’t really bother me, just looks a bit freaky and I’m just curious and thinking this would be nothing short of a monumental task. I’m probably way off here but wouldn’t each civi unit have to be virtually controlled or re-written in as like a ground unit? I’m no graphic designer or script writer but this seems near impossible with so much Civi traffic available. How can the ghosty civs be stopped? And also, can we blow up trains? ;) :dontgetit:

HOTAS in Hollywood! Hey good Pilots I was watching this flick called Prodigy recently. About a little girl that was kept confined and monitored that possessed supernatural powers and a psychologist that's trying to help her. Was ok I guess, nothing to write home about. Yea I know I know, "get outta here Gaz!, movie lobby down the hall man!" Wait a sec, while I watching I noticed this device that her supervisors were using to control her, when she started freakin out and going ballistic. Anyway it sent out ultra sonic audible waves and it looked very familar.

Hey man, thankyou and yea I know, my mega rig here is not getting the update patch prompt on DCS startup but weirdly my LTop did earlier this evening and also when I tried to do a cleanup my powershell said this.. I've logged out and back in and restarted several times but still not getting the patch update, I'll try again
