Wow! I just installed 2.5 a couple of days back and I'm blown away, so impressed. It's better than I thought and hats off to all who are working hard to bring it to completion. I have everything maxed out and it's running beautifully with nice frames and no stutters. I knocked up a quick mission only with a few unit placements although only 2 units in my enemy column spawned when I actually created 12 but I'll dbl check that and really not much else went wrong. It's an amazing step up and I'm looking forward to flying more but I have noticed a bug that's in every mission I've tried so far. No Lat/Long co-ordinates in top left corner in my F10 map, only a bunch of numbers with z and x prefixes. Hope that can be looked at for the next update. Apologies if this has been mentioned. 2.5 Beta for me so far.. 9.5/10 ! Cheers G

Sounds good, that’s a reassuring fact. Cool! I really enjoyed all the Campaigns in the Caucasus map, they were the best and I’m going redo them too. You reckon a full wipe of both my DCS versions for a nice clean install is the way to go? I’ve heard of a few different ways to do it but that seems to make the most sense. :book:

Hi all, At the risk of sounding like a dumb question. Do I need to have the BETA vers. of 2.5 installed before I install the final release vers, or can I just wait and install 2.5 release vers when it's ready?

Cool splash! Sounds like your nearly finished. Can I ask you if you don't mind, are you flying in 2.5 Beta or the previous vers and if in 2.5 Beta, how's it handling?

Thanks Emuyen, appreciate your reply mate. I have every A-10C campaign released and completed about %70 of them and I must say all of them have been awesome! I was half way through the Basic Qual Train and then after that's done I plan to move on to Advanced Qual and then finish with Tactical but with the recent 2.5 Beta release, I thought no point really. I'm waiting just a little longer till more bugs are ironed out and then I'll take the plunge and carry on with those Training missions and probably I'll re do those missions like Enemy Within and Piercing Fury etc just to see how great they play in the shiny new map. I'm not thinking it will be anytime soon though as there's lot of work for the guys at ED to get through, just by reading what's happening atm. Although the latest bunch of fixes in the last week or so are very promising and it shows they are working hard to get this thing in full vers, I think we have to remember hey it's free man! Anyway, sorry a bit off topic, but things are looking up and I can't wait to see how it feels. Thanks again, cheers G

Hey good Pilots, Just a little puzzled here as to why JTAC sometimes sends that very helpful Task Mesg that you acknowledge via your TAD and CDU and sometimes they don’t. I built a mission with JTAC triggers and stuff and it all worked fine. Axeman sent correct co-ords for my two enemy column targets and after all were taken out gave me the you may depart good job etc. i just can’t work out how to get that really cool little red triangle that pops up in your TAD after Mesg is sent, it’s so much easier to Hook onto it, create as SPI then slave all your sensors to it. I checked my JTAC method of locating targets and it was set to Auto. So I’m not sure what I need to do to receive that Task Mesg. I also just had a look at page 320 of the Wags Manual and it said SADL equiped AC May send this ATTACK Mesg. Is this why perhaps I’m not receiving that type of mesg.. because mine is a ground unit? Any advice, much appreciated Cheers G :book:

Think I’ll take the plunge.. I hear ya brother but with more bugs than the Congo I’m thinking of hangin back just a bit more. Then again, I’m also thinkin.. why the hell not!? If ya think about, it’s prob more sense to install because I’m inevitably going to lose all my mission builds for 1.5 and 2.1 anyway so there’s no use creatng any more. And all my current Campaigns will be now defunct and also I’m on a 5 day book-off from work. So more than likely I’ll join our wonderful 2.5 DCS lemmings but I’m so definitely NOT going to start posting faults and bugs and stuff, I’ll just expect them and cope. Anyway I dig my A-10C too much to sit idle. Hey I also pre-purchased the F-A18 but I’m not expecting that in full operation and error free stage till 2020. Anyway it’s all good and things are looking pretty neat in DCS atm. Cheers G :thumbup: update: Just read about Memory leak issue which drains your RAM and it's not addressed yet. So not taking the plunge now.

Jaw dropper! Just watched it again but this time on my big 4k theatre system. Absolutely amazing, so immersive and perfectly cut and edited and yep the music choice was flawless. Awesome effort and so well thought out, totally rockin! If this doesn't increase subscriptions by %25 nothing will! Looks like I better d'load it now. Beautiful job, well done!

Patch is good! I'm hangin back from the install for a while as I wanted to let them get as many bugs out as they can but now as I'm on 7 day book off from work I'm so extremely tempted. I usually get around 4mbs dl speed but I'm sure this will be slower and hey a 1 gb patch is actually great news, means ED and co. is onto it and listening to all the player-testers out there. Super stuff!

Hey good Pilots, Well I'm getting excited about the F/A-18C and looking forward to re-learning and experiencing this awesome Jet but I'm wondering if anyone here knows if my TIR5 will work with this AC when it's released. I had a quick look and its not in the Titles Tiles list of my TIR5. Any ideas anyone? Cheers Gaz

Max it out baby! I agree with Q, if you've got a kick #!%&* rig, then max it out. I max all my settings to the hilt and she runs smooth as silk and I'll be doing the same in 2.5 , just saying
