  1. TEW shaping up to be a beauty! Hey BD, big thanks! I just flew that one, was really cool, a breath of fresh air even and no my canopy wasn't open lol. Was pleasant surprise from the original. Haven't had much experience in formation flying, so I had to focus. Only managed a %75 for my first crack. I'm going to give it another try though. Can't wait for the rest of the campaign, cheers thanks again. GA
  2. Great start to the new year! Awesome effort as always BD! You should be congratulated! And I'm re flying TEW because not only was it a great story driven campaign with dynamic and interesting missions but also because of the beautiful textures and terrain ED has made possible in the Caucuses since then. Apart from all that.. point me to your shop man! Cheers GA :) P.S Does not having FB matter at all?
  3. Hey thanks Buck, I didn't know that was on the drawing board. Good to know, cheers man
  4. I kinda liked it in the Hornet sometimes , adds to that whole immersion thing :)
  5. :megalol: I’ll pay that one
  6. I think ED Forum should create a wish list section here for the A-10C. I mean the Hornet has one, why not the HOG? Just saying.. :noexpression:
  7. Hey awesome Pilots Just back in my A-10C Pit after a long hiatus and forgot about my Pilot not being there whilst flying. Can anyone tell me if Pilot appears in the pit depending on the Campaign or Mission or is the Pilot always unavailable? For the life of me I can't recall. Would be nice to go shift p anytime one chooses and hey presto.
  8. I'M BACK! WOW! What a nice perfect time for my reply. A few days back I just decided to go back to my beautiful HOG after 6 months or more of fooling around in the Hornet. the Hornet was and is awesome, no doubt about it but something kept tuggin at my heart strings and that little voice kept saying.. "man oh man.. I'm not having much fun anymore". I don't know, maybe it's just me but whatever happened, I'm just so glad to be back in my faithful ole sluggish BEAUTIFUL awesome HOG! And all those Campaigns in the very nice looking Caucuses now.. I'm so revisiting...big time!
  9. Ohh beautiful! Thanks a bunch Backs, I took a left when I should've taken a right.. Regards G
  10. Hey good people, I'm having trouble finding the updated Hornet user guide mentioned in this latest update. Anyone know where to find it? Regards G
  11. Me like the way your specs is listed, that's cool
  12. AHH HUH!! ;o) WOW! I may have also pressed this key by mistake whilst airborne! Thanks Giera, awesome man!
  13. WPDSG Hey thanks Giera appreciate your input and comments mate and I yea I went overboard with my Tolstoy post there but I wanted to tell it like I found it. This WPDSG system is turning out to be a weird beast as your Point 3 shows, but I'm really interested in it and wanting to master it, especially when MAV becomes available. Cheers G
  14. My WPDSG fault fixed Hey dudes. Apologies in advance for this epic post Well I'm posting this mainly because I'm hoping it saves someone from having to go though the pain in the !*#% that I went through trying to find out why my WPDSG wasn't working and also a few other little things I discovered. Just spent the last 72hrs uninstalling and reinstalling DCS, remapping all HOTAS controls (twice!), swapping, comparing and flying track files with a friend, sending Ticket to ED support, doing a Repair and a heap of other stuff but all to no avail. I just couldn't find an answer as to why my WPDSG would only flash in the HUD or not work at all. So, after many dbl black Russians and an hour or so on the couch with a shrink and much head scratching, I found it! My "Undesignate/Nose Wheel Steer Switch" was only working intermittently and was causing a conflict. I actually unmapped all my HOTAS throttle and stick controls and when remapping checking each separate control back in game to see which one was causing the problem, took forever as I have a bagillion actions mapped to my HOTAS ( it's just the way I roll) anyway, I was delighted to find it. So if your having this problem, check your controls for any dble mapping or buttons or switches that are not working correctly. Ok, so about the WPDSG system itself. I couldn't find any documentation on this but I discovered that it has a visible pointer range of between 10 degrees and 90 or a little above. I'll call it the "Pointer" for arguments sake as I don't know it's proper name but you'll see it in the images I've attached. I found the Pointer will tell you how far in degrees off your designated WP is and its direction but only if it's within 90 degrees or so, if not, the pointer and the diamond which represents your designated WP disappears but there is always a small diamond attached to your Heading tape as long as the system is active. I've also noticed that the Pointer and WP diamond will disappear when your within 10 degrees of your designated target as then your WP target is visible within your HUD. It seems like an awesome system and I'm trying to use it and discovering more about it although I haven't yet been able to slew the WP Diamond around as I heard that can be done. I also noticed that whilst in AA mode this system cannot be implemented and only be used when my weapons systems are off or in AG mode and if in AG mode and WPDSG is active and I switch to AA mode then the WPDSG system switches off and any WP targets I've designated disappear from my HUD. The images I've left show you three different scenarios using the WPDSG. The first one I was 7.3 miles away from my WP target, as you see no WP pointer or diamond, only the smaller diamond on Heading tape because my WP target was virtually behind me. The next shot shows I'm 9.2 miles away from my WP target and it clearly shows the Pointer 41 degrees off to my left with the larger diamond in the HUD and I might add this Diamond will flash until your WP target is within visible range and then it will stabilize on your selected WP. The last image shows my WP target 7.2 miles away and the Diamond is stabilized directly on my selected WP and as always the smaller diamond on heading tape is prevalent whilst system is active. I hope this helps someone and I'm also hoping more info on this really cool system is available soon. Cheers G
  15. Fixed Due to recent remapping issues with previous update I found double mapping on COMM1 and COMM2. Thanks for your help, issue sorted now. G
  16. All mine are slaved and set correctly. As I mentioned.. Ramp, Runway and Carrier launch are all AOK. Bindings would not differ and account for all conditions. I've triple checked everything and can't figure it out. That's why I would like to know if anyone has started from a Turning or Flyover point and see if their \ is available. Thanks anyway man UPDATE! Further testing showed when I left the Radio menu on screen then initiated take off from Runway or Carrier, the menu disappears quite shortly after take off and regardless of which map or mission I'm in.
  17. I recently noticed my in game onscreen Comms Radio menu is unavailable when mission begins as an Air Start whilst in my own missions or Instant Action. The Ramp, Runway or Carrier take off all seem fine. Anyone else notice this? G
  18. Same result.. Correct Giera! I tried a few times and the exact same thing happened to me. First I thought my settings or positioning was wrong but after a few attempts my diamond did the same thing also. Hopefully will be sorted in upcoming updates.
  19. Hi there, I've recently noticed this error since the last update. The wave wake that J C Stennis generates around itself does not move. I have only checked Caucuses and Persian Gulf Maps and both display the same. Hoping this issue can be looked at and addressed soon. I do not use any mods or have made any changes to my system. Regards Gaz
  20. Think before I leap I appreciate your comments brother and I should have known better than to post that, was a bad call and just dumb and I still feel stoopid for it. The truth is.. I love DCS, the third parties, devs and all connected, because it's their efforts and sometimes truly unsung and unacknowledged efforts which have brought me many happy times and lots of enjoyment. Now even more so learning this beautiful new Bug, I couldn't be happier. I reckon the F\A-18C Hornet is the best and most awesome module I have ever spent my money on in here in DCS World and I thought nothing would top the A-10C. This is truly a remarkable AC and I can't say enough good things about it as I'm discovering more and more each day. So from now on if I run into a snag I'll run up a white flag and ask for help instead of waving around a red one. Peace out
  21. It's not irony.. it's sarcasm and I was pissed off. I do apologise to the Forum and ED though.. frustration got the better of me
  22. Are we having fun yet? Awesome.. thanks for this beautiful update ED Screen_181011_201136.png
  23. A-10C Rocks! It so is worthy of buying, please do your self a favour and buy this AC and fly those Campaign missions and even build your own! A-10C is incredible and so much fun. I bought FA18 recently but I’m going back to my A10 for some unfinished biz. It’s my favourite and nothing better than getting a rewarding “mission complete” at the end of a challenging mission. I’ve flown em all before the new terrain and graphics modelling so now I’m wanting to go back and I want to finish my tactical training stuff. So please don’t hesitate, get this beautiful AC and fly those awesome Campaigns! Go get some brother! Cheers GA ;)
  24. I propose a toast! This would have to be the most awesome manual I’ve ever seen, blitzes anything ED manage to put together. An amazing and comprehensive guide, beautifully put together by the Chuckster. Thank you big time brother. Cheers G
  25. I'm excited! Thanks kindly for popping that link up recoil, much appreciated. Been in the A10-C for over a year now so I'm really looking forward to embarking on something new. This looks awesome and a bit scary to learn by the looks of it but will suit the new Persian Gulf map beautifully. I sure would like a hardcopy of this manual.. guess I can always print it Cheers, thanks again G
