  1. Eureka! Too kind Fee, that's awesome and I'm going to try it out right now. Thanks a bunch man, very grateful! I figured that I rarely end up dead in missions when shot down as I'm ejecting when AC is damaged. So I set the trig for miss fail when unit damaged and it worked beautifully! Now I'm very happy, have both mission success/fail trigs. Thx again ffff, really helpful man. Cheers, big ups to u mate!
  2. Thanks Zayets, Flying Tigers!? I'm their freakin BOSS! lol Anyway I deleted that trigger, I still couldn't make it work after a few goes at it.
  3. Thanks a bunch Fee, awesome as always!
  4. Hi good Pilots! Newby mission builder here again but happily progressing pretty well actually. Ok, here's my question. My triggers for mission success are working beautifully but when I tried to replicate a mission fail for myself, I ran into problems and some things I didn't understand. First, and this is only SP creation ok. The mission Goals Page I think I set up correctly with 100 pnts as GazAce Unit Dead but the Triggers page under Type I wasn't sure if I leave it as my screen shot shows.. Name Enemy Groups Dead and NO EVENT or is that incorrect? Hope you can make some sense of my settings. I did a kamikaze to test it (which felt kinda weird actually) but no message appeared after my demise. As I mentioned the other triggers for mission succuss work fine with message displayed. I'm missing something I'm sure but I'm not knowing. Again any help muchly gratified, cheers G P.S One other small question, setting up my FAC which works fine btw I noticed a "Number" box under the Callsign name of my JTAC. What does this number signify ?
  5. That’s making sense now, thanks very much. So, wingmen in my flight as you said I’m in charge of and they kinda just follow me and respond to my commands and these wingmen will invariably from Ramp depart when I do yea, like I’m not having to create a delayed start trigger for them or do they start rolling at mission start time? And wingmen I place I can assign flight plans and tasks like softening up areas before my team goes in yes? It’s becoming clearer now ty ffff, owe you big time man.
  6. Hey good Pilots, I’m a bit confused about this whole Wingmen thing. Yes I worked out the triggers for delaying them on the Ramp and I knocked up a pretty cool little mission with JTAC tasking and goals and other stuff but I’m perplexed. I was up for ages last night tryin to figure it out and I think my mission became corrupted as both WM were just sitting there after I started rolling as I’ve been constantly “saving as” over missions or maybe I made an error somewhere, not sure but disappointingly I scrubbed the whole thing and going to start from scratch. I fly A-10C and only build SP missions but I’m not sure which is better, wingmen I add from own flight or Wingmen I add as individual flights like from the far left tab. What is the reason for both being available? And when I add WM from my flight they can’t seem to be given WP flight plans, is this correct? And I also noticed sometimes the “uncontrolled” box was not available. Anyway I’m pretty muddled with this Wingmen stuff and just when I thought I had it. Basically all I’m after is creating a cool little mission with a few Wingmen to help with ground targets and all of us working as a team ( pref Flying Tigers :-) to accomplish our goals and I’m pretty sure I just use WM I add from my own flight to do this. Maybe I’m looking too deep into this whole thing, anyway, any tips or advice regarding this will be much appreciated. Cheers, apologies for the long post. G :book::doh:
  7. Thanks a bunch feefifofum, that's very kind, patient and helpful of you sir. Can't wait to try it out when I get home. Cheers mate
  8. Thanks a heap FeeFi, one last question man and i’ll leave you be “ your own wingmen” meaning the ones I create from my unit ie: 1 of 2 and 1 of 3 etc yes? I mean like the units that move when I move my AC around ) And “additional flights” ones I place down from the AC tab from the far left correct? And is it these ones that can only be TASK PUSH triggered? ( sorry more than 1 question ) :)
  9. Thanks kindly WC, appreciate that.
  10. Hey good Pilots, SP mission build I set my Rampstart to say 16:00 and my wingmen to spawn at 16:15. Is 16:00 my actual mission start time? If not, how do you set or determine this? :book::helpsmilie:
  11. This is very awesome, I've just spent near an hour bangin my head against the wall trying to get my AI A-10C wingmen to wait 12 mins or so till I finish my Rampstart. Your a legend Fee! I just printed out one of those posts that saved my #!%^* Cheers man, ty kindly
  12. Mine records clips and plays fine but there's one glitch that drives me crazy. When I start DCS a GE Force mesg on the right side of my screen slides across a little ways and most of the time just sits there. I have to close DCS and restart it for it to become unstuck, pain in the @!#!*
  13. JTAC tasking mesg Beautiful! Thanks Grimes man! So does that mean not all JTAC vehicles has this Datalink option? If that's so, how do you tell which units has it? Update: Success! thanks a bunch! It came up, that Tasking mesg with the little red flashing triangle, maybe I didn't have the Datalink box ticked or something. Anyway I switched Units from a APC AAV-7 to a IFV M2A2 Bradley and it worked like a charm! I'm thinking I may have forgot to have DL box ticked, not sure but it was awesome to see it work. Thankyou kindly again Grimes sir!
  14. Hey good Pilots, Newby SP mission builder here for my A-10C. I've built a few missions that are not too bad actually for one just starting out but I can't seem to get that really cool feature activated when you receive JTAC coordinates. You know the one when you get a message that you acknowledge and then this little flashing red triangle appears on your TAD that you can Mark and Hook onto, I miss that. All I get is the coordinates from my JTAC, any idea how to receive that message? I've looked when setting up my JTAC but can't seem to find anything, is there another setting I need to make prior perhaps? Any help much appreciated. Cheers G
  15. Wingmen comms found Oh update re my Wingmen dilemma, next to the coms tab is written 251 Mhz AM which threw me as it should be UHF, not sure why that is but anyway all good now. Thanks again for the tip brother. Cheers Gaz
  16. I appreciate that WC very much man. I've been flying my A-10C nearly every day for over a year now and have many hours of flight time and finished many Campaigns and heaps of other missions too so I'm good with all that. I've only just recently embarked on mission building tho and really loving it, got the bug big time. So there are a few things that are a bit sketchy for me. Viewed all the YT clips and still refer to them but I'm finding questions and flying them as a trial and error is the way to go and already after a few weeks, I've managed to knock a few missions that I think would get a pass. I'm getting there slowly but she's a pretty big beast but so worth learning. Thanks again for the tip brother. Cheers Gaz
  17. I keep in game music off when I record and no other peripheral sounds or background music and there is a setting to min background sounds too. My mic is super sensitive and I checked my system man and I can't for the life of me work out why your picking up keystrokes and stuff. Is your boost mic setting off? Do you think it could be a Win 10 audio setting? if not maybe try a uninstall/reinstall of GEF EX. I'm sorry I'm out of ideas brother.
  18. Wingmen dilemma nearly sorted ;o) Thanks kindly grunf, muchly appreciated man. I fly A-10C and yes radio set correctly, well 90% sure anyway but canned goin to bed and just about to tweak this mission again to test heh and this time I'll add WM that way. Thanks again, let you know how it went. Cheers
  19. Hey good Pilots, I'm really liking this mission building caper and learning more each day but I'm a bit confused about how to manage Wingmen. A bit hard to explain without visuals but is it better to create wingmen when you create your own AC like in adding more ie: 1 of 2 or 3 or is it better to add an AC separately from the AC unit tab from those options on the left and give them individual WP plan the same as my own if I want them to fly the mission with me? And how does one get their Wingmen to respond to commands? I'm pretty sure I had the radio set correctly to my Wingmen's freq but I no response. Any help much appreciated.
  20. Hey Lenux, I record with GeForce Ex all the time but never had that prob. I'll check my settings and see if I can dig up something for you. There was a latest update too.
  21. Thanks kindly cthulhu68, appreciate the advice man. I've already deleted that one and restarted another from scratch and this time it worked but I can't seem to contact JTAC, I gave them a target and thought I was sure that they were in fact a JTAC vehicle but how do I know which vehicles are the ones which carry them? Is that determined by the initial set up of options relating to JTAC, I mean if the vehicle wasn't one, could those settings be implemented in the first place ie: invisible, hold etc? And do I need to give my wingmen a specific WP plan? Because when I just selected CAS for him he seemed to go off without me, I thought he would fly with me on my plan.Trial an error I guess and more You Tube tutorials. Thanks again mate for showing interest. Cheers G  Ok! Beautiful! Update:I just nailed down the whole JTAC thing. I wasn't adding a specific option which caused him not to show up. Much happier now and slowly slowly getting there
  22. Thanks FP, mighty kind. I’m looking at it now actually but can’t seem to find anywhere else that suggests another time to choose other than what’s in my Start box’s that sits just below my required speed to WP and above my ADD EDIT DEL tabs? And can you tell me what is EPRLS(on)a that appears in my Advance WP options? My AC has that set yet my WM has his as CAS but with the option of EPRLS. Sorry man I’ve got so many questions. Oh and I just noticed something.. I had the box that locks the required time of arrival to the WP ticked! So maybe that was causing a problem with the start, you think?
  23. Thank you Neil, that's very kind of you man. Yes I did check that drop down and I select myself as "Player" and when that didn't work I tried removing both wingmen to see if that was the issue but no go, I'm still looking at the action from above. I built it at Nellis as a Runway start so I'm not sure if there is any probs concerning that location. I'll keep trying but it can be frustrating sometimes when your not sure what does what or what to do next. Well, thank you kindly for putting those tips up concerning JTAC as I love plotting co-ords and then searching for them. Thanks again mate, cheers G
  24. Thanks heaps Rudel man, appreciate that mate. Yes I've seen just about all of the tutorials on You Tube and yep R79's 7 parta is awesome and I'm going to go thru it again and there are a few others that are really good too but I'm finding most of them are more directed towards mp. And some of the lingo and options I'm not savvy with like Flag is True and Flag On and quite a few other things. I realise that it's difficult to go through every aspect of mission building as it's incredibly time consuming. It's mainly the trigger actions that I'm trying to learn. I'm hoping the DCS manual will be updated soon to incl a fresh section on mission building for single and multi players, as the current one is quite outdated. Thanks again and thank you for that link man. Cheers G
  25. Hey good Pilots, Well I just caught the mission building bug and I’m lovin it, man I’m pretty hooked. I’m only just starting out but just the other day managed to put a simple yet rewarding little mission together using the “create fast mission” option just adding stuff. I strung together a bunch of WPs, a few diff unit columns, a little briefing and even got a few triggers happening with a happy mission success mesg at the end. Here’s the thing tho, when I made one from scratch as in not using the fast option, when I finished and launched all I could see was everything from F10 overhead map view and my AC and wingmen weren’t there but all the other units and rotors and things were active. I’m scratching my head thinking where did I go wrong? I dble checked everything. I fly A-10C and only SP. And also how does one add JTAC to a mission or does it spawn by default? And is there anywhere else besides YouTube to seek any info with mission building in DCS? Any help much appreciated. Cheers G :)
