Greetings, I started to update 1.5.8 to 2.5. The update was being downloaded via torrent. I decided to try and increase the speed via HTTP. When I selected cancel on the torrent download, it CTD'd. Now I cannot update any of it. I have the DCS WORLD OPEN BETA & the DCS WORLD 1.5.8 on my desktop. What should I do to get 1.5.8 to update? Thanks guys.

I am on DSL and am getting about 12MB/s DL speed. However, I cant get more than .2MBPS trying to download updates. I DON'T GET IT! I bailed out of the download. Any help?

I got my ticket out of S-44 (Spanaway Airport) It had trees on both ends but the north side was bad. You come in high and pitch for the deck. Taught you to slip the plane it did. LOL

I've not flown multi player as of yet and am chomping at the bit to get ahold of the F-18. Right now I fly the A-10C. Any suggestions on where to start, what to do or ??? Thanks

I was able to get it to update after this last download. FYI I had never used the HTTP update and always used torrent. Thanks for the input guys.

Tried to run the command above from the command prompt but it wouldn't work. Is that what you were referring to? I am currently trying to update again from the DCS Updater in the DCS/OPENBETA/BIN folder. The file size is about 2GB again so it will take me all day to do it. So frustrating. The last two times I did this, the server error popped up and it apparently doesn't update anything. The whole download is erased.

I spend 24 hours downloading the open beta. T hen spend hours downloading a 2.6.23.34 patch or something. THEN I get a error message saying a server is full. The update dumps. I am forced to wait ANOTHER 4 hours for it to re-download on my slow DSL. Now I get it downloaded AGAIN and it dumps saying server full, try again later, wanting me to download it AGAIN! If I try to load it and fly, I CTD on quick missions. The NVR is flyable but nothin with Caucuses. When I go into the sim, it say version 2.5.0.1.13818. I tried to add the LOG file here but it says it is not a legit log file. Huh?

I had 1.5 installed and also OpenAlpha. Now, for 24 hours I am locked into one hours long download after another. Why must this be made so confusing?

I did mangae to get the NTR to laod with a mission. However when I try to load anything caucuses, I can see some buildings and trees for a moment. NO LAND is there and then CTD

I got the program to load. Went to the quick INSTANT ACTION portion. Selected EASY FOOTHILLS. Tries to load then CTD. It did this over and over. I cant even supply the log file as it says INVALID FILE. Any ideas?

I have yet to take the plunge with Oculus Rift or any other VR type system so my questions are... Does anyone have a O/R and if so, do you experience motion sickness while flying? Is it worth the $$$. I have set up the PS3 camera to act like a TrackIR using Opentrack but cannot get it adjusted correctly. ( Thought about getting the new TrackIR. ) With the release of the F-18 coming, I want this as real as possible. Any thoughts?

OK Cool. I actually flew VERY low and saw the trucks. I spun around and took them out with a cannon. Looks like I was misreading the map icons etc. Thanks for the help.

Yes there is. I had a mission where the objective was to destroy the enemy HQ. Again, this is about mission 4 or 5 in the Caucasus campaign. I pulled up the mission planner and zoomed into the target. The waypoint says HQ. I look at the area and see 4 or 5 "squares" on the map. When I get there, there is a area between two towns with nothing in it. My only option is to bomb the two towns closest to the waypoint marked HQ. I paused the sim and looked around but see no building that would distinguish itself from the others. So, I just flew to about 12,000ft, placed the CBU's into CCIP, nosed over and bombed the town. Maybe I'm missing something here which wouldn't surprise me. LOL

While I have been flying the Caucasus missions, I constantly knock the crap out of the Russians however, I only get from 50-60% success rate. How can I hit 43 targets and not get any higher? And my second question is EXAMPLE: Mission where I have to take out some buildings / headquarters. I study the maps and see buildings. When I arrive, there is nothing there. I see a town there but nothing signifies a target. The briefing isn't clear enough to show what I should hit. Should I bomb the shit out of the entire town?

When in the A10C, if I hit ALT-F1, it gives me just the HUD view. Problem is that every time I hit it, the sim also takes a screenshot. I cannot find a screenshot callout in the commands menu to alter this. How do I fix it?

Thanks for the help folks. Tons of frustration to say the least. I contacted trackhat and they had me completely reinstall the software and now it works somewhat. I am now fighting with adjustments. When I turn my head, the view jumps around all over the place. I can only get about 10-15 degrees of movement before it goes ballistic. Not sure which option to adjust with this so still fighting it.

I give up. Two days of fighting this, reading for hours and nothing works.

On another note, I have the FACETRACKER option in my DCS OPTIONS now but I also have TrackIR. I reset the TrackIR to its defaults. I'm not sure what should be where on this menu.

Same one. I've tried the older version and newer version of Opentrack and also Facetracknoir. On the screen, I can see the LED 's moving around in Opentrack etc, but I just cant get it to do anything inside DCS.

Ive been hammering away at this all day and nothing. I tried using Opentrack and Facetracknoir. I can get the programs to see my headset with three dots but I just cannot get it to work inside DCS A10C. I have tried both 32 and 64 bit versions, placed the headtracker.dll file in all locations from the DCS/BIN/HEADTRACKER folder and the A10C/BIN. The only thing I can figure is IO have something dicked up inside DCS OPTIONS. I reset the TrackIR settings in the AXIS menu to default and have no mouse input for views. Any idea where my problem is?

I have trackhat working but when I am in the A10C for example, nothing happens. Pulling my hair out. Can someone who uses trackhat and opentrack please tell me what their settings are in the DCS options menu?

I would like to assign the mouse view in cockpit to either ONE CLICK instead of two, or the right mouse button instead of having to double click the center button. How do I accomplish this?

I've been pulling my hair out trying to get this views to a tolerable level. I do not use TIR and find it difficult to read the left and right panels when I scroll my mouse over left or right, I find that I am looking at the panels and button names SIDEWAYS! I was trying to assign a view where I can SNAP to each panel and see all the buttons / callouts in a normal way. I have not found a way to do this and have experimented quite a bit with assigning snap views. Any suggestions?
