  1. Wow, you're really a cruel person. :D I'm really sorry guys :(, a big project just got in the way and I sttoped working on the template. If we are lucky you may hear about it. I really don't want to upload an unfinished work. But, I promise I will finish the 8k skins and some paintings. Cheers.:)
  2. Going by the old book of the school of guns and bullets, yes, those roundels are big bullseyes to shoot at. A great aiming aid. But things have changed.:) However, in peace, paint work in aircraft tend to be a little more shiny. I still can show you plenty of pictures of obscured roundels.
  3. Hello everybody.:) Rudel if you don´t mind cuban skin need some tweaks. First, roundels are only under the wings, not above and the change from camouflage to sky blue is more lineal. See picture...
  4.
  5. Relax guys, the R-27 is a lot better in reality, I think that it is just hard to model something without the correct data, since it is classified. In fact, it is hard to model anything even if you have all the data. I think we have to work with what we have now. That´s all I can say.:D
  6. I think you should start writing/composing that bug report.:D
  7. Well, share with us what it was.
  8. There are many more factors that affect climbing performance, not only thrust to weight.:) And as WildBill pointed out, the emergency afterburner (that is not so much for emergencies) change the perspective.
  9. I´m sorry, but the MiG-21Bis a worse climber than a F-4?? Well... this is new. Since there´re too much of you who believe that, I´m going to pull the white flag beforehand and just say that I may not agree with that. Cheers.:)
  10. This looks like hypoxia indeed. You must double check if the oxygen system is tuned correctly, and no, unless the canopy locks malfunction, it´s not going anywhere even if it´s not pressurized. I hope it´s not a bug. Yes, if you´re a superlative oxygen eating monster. If not, it should last longer.
  11. Sorry guys, the skin is finished, but real life is kicking in. I haven´t found any time to upload the template. Don´t worry, this will be uploaded soon and the moment it happen you will know.
  12. Wrong, except the rudder, all the other flight controls in the MiG-21 are hydraulically operated. The switch command two GA-190 electro-valves, one per system (main and emergency system, also know as booster system). They cut the hydraulic pressure that both systems send to the BU-45A actuators. In the case of the pilot this switch is only used in the event of an emergency when because of some failure or damage the ailerons hydraulics are lost, so he can manually operate them. So, if there´s no problem, a pilot should always fly with this switch in its connected position. So far, this is not modeled in DCS.
  13. Are you asking about the hydrobooster switch function in real life or you´re just talking about button mapping?
  14. Sorry, but I don´t know if we are talking about the same tuna. Tuna = fish = canned white meat = One of the most healthy and delicious meats that are out there. and you´re comparing this with some animals and their secretions? Oh man.:helpsmilie:
  15. But, but... the tuna pizza is delicious... tuna is delicious... come on guys?
  16. Well, the thread title is about speculation, is´t it? That´s what we are doing and having fun in the meantime. I think that most posters over the age of 25 here are ok wherever LNS decide to reveal the two upcoming modules. If they like it (or I) they will buy it and that´s all. Ramsey delivered his opinion without breaking the rules I guess.:) I really hope you don´t deliver the tuna pizza without the tuna.
  17. I thought it was ice cream instead of hamburgers. mmm...
  18. Indeed I´m curious, ...but apart from some smart competence moves I can´t see a justification for this. So We aviators hate surprises, so you know.
  19. Somehow better, but I still can´t see why the intrigue. What is going to change if we know which aircraft are? We have to wait for them regardless, not?
  20. Guys, can we agree on no commenting (speculating) more about the incoming planes? There will be no fun at LNS anymore and they will be forced to tell us to re-feed the hype.:D
  21. I´m just going to reaffirm the others in this thread. Stay away from AMD CPUs for now. Intel Haswell Pentium or lesser i3 will bring you a noticeable increase in performance over any FX CPU, also the AM3 platform is really outdated. (i.e. no PCI-e 3.0) In DCS, single thread is king now.
  22. I´m glad I could be of help. The moment I read your first post the stop lock appeared in my mind.:D
  23. In fact, the 7300kg figure is for worse emergency situations, it is the weight of more than 6800kg the one that should not be exceeded in more than 3% of the total of landings of the ac. The reason is undercarriage integrity, the max structural weight is way higher, but if you destroy gears on landing the fuselage is also compromised. These landing weights of course are always supposing the SPS system is functional. In case of real emergency situations you can always land with greater weights, just do it gently. The landing gears will be replaced and the aircraft will be checked for structural integrity, but your life will be saved.:D
  24. You don´t need the three fuel pumps, just the rightmost one (main consumer pump). Also, this is by the ac starting procedure manual. Once the engine is running, you can start the others. Idle will be enough. This is by pressing the stop lock in the throttle. (I´m thinking this could be the problem)
  25. Enough fixes. :) Will be uploading this week.
