  1. I tried this out in Instant Action and managed to get a few missiles to pass 80,000m (263,000ft). Launched them from about 20,000m (70,000ft). Hit 'em right in the mesosphere. ;) OrbitMissiles.trk
  2. Lol! Your video sounds exactly the same grunf. Seems like it has been around for several months now. I made my own video of the growling glitch in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmAMHrn0QT4.
  3. I figured maybe one of the developers put it in there as a joke. It is pretty funny that wingman #4 has a tiger in his cockpit, but it kind of breaks the immersion lol.
  4. Bro, there's no need to harass the developers. Demanding things like this isn't going to make them fix it any faster, nor is it going to help your case any better. Be courteous and respectful to Eagle Dynamics. They will fix the problem when they can. Make sure to follow the proper bug report format when reporting an issue, as it can help them fix the problem sooner.
  5. When flying for the U.S. faction in a four-ship flight, #4 tends to growl when replying to commands. This has happened to me in both DCS World 1.5.5 and DCS World 2.0. The radio command that usually causes the issue is asking the entire flight to check in, upon which #4 will reply with "4" and a growling sound. I checked the audio files in the game folder, and I located the file responsible in the following locations: ~Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Sounds\Speech\Sound\ENG\Common\Wingman\3\ ~Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Sounds\Speech\Sound\ENG\Common\Wingman\3\ The file is called "yes.wav." It is just a growling sound. I have used sound mods, but none of them have this file or files that modify the speech folder in any way. The other wingmen folders don't have this file listed at all, including the Russian folders. I propose that this file be removed in any future upcoming patches, as it's very startling to hear when flying a mission.
  6. Ah! I see now. I'll wait for the patch before finishing the last mission, then. Thank you for explaining.
  7. I'm having a similar problem with Mission 15. After killing the 5 AAA units and destroying the bridge as directed, nothing happens afterward. There appear to be three Chinook helicopters that circle their landing zones without actually landing. There's one that tries to land on the road outside Evergreen (same one with the 6 vehicles), and there's another Chinook that keeps circling over the small compound SW of Evergreen. Neither of them actually land. I fast forwarded until all the UH-60s RTB'ed and landed at base, but nothing proceeded to happen. I'm running DCS World 1.5.5.
  8. Here's a YouTube video of the entire mission. The spawn happens at 52:36. [ame] [/ame]
  9. I have the worst luck when it comes to doing anything. After doing a complete reinstall of DCS 1.5 beta and doing a clean install of my graphics drivers, I was finally able to complete an entire mission with the A-10C module. However, I was again denied from a mission success. In the first campaign mission for the Georgian Hammer campaign, (supporting Blue and Razor to Objective Texas) after I landed the A-10C and parked, an F-16 spawned directly underneath me, causing itself and my aircraft to explode. The aircraft appeared right after I stopped and disabled Nose Wheel Steering. The mission resulted in a fratricide, so all my combat scores were void. I don't yet know if this bug is reproducible, but I thought it would be worth reporting. I zipped a track file and the DCS logs. I'll have a YouTube video uploaded shortly when I get the chance. 10. I've been getting consistent game crashes in DCS A10C in the first mission. The first mission seems to generate a random target every time the campaign is restarted, so the one I'm having a problem with is the one with the 2S6 artillery as the target. The game has been crashing towards the end of the mission after destroying some of the artillery units, but it's not always immediately after that. I've attached a zip file of my game crashes. When the game crashes, I just get a Windows error that DCS.exe has stopped responding and has to close.
  11. I appreciate the suggestion, Maverick. I will try this to minimize the repeated sound bugs until an official fix can be implemented. Thank you for your help.
  12. First of all, thank you to all the devs for your hard work with responding to our bug reports and improving the overall game experience. What happened that resulted in the issue? The game encountered a problem and closed at the same point in Mission 4 of the A-10A (The Valley) campaign. What were you doing that caused, or seemed to cause the issue? I was flying between waypoints 3 and 4 around 10,000' and dodging the SAMs launched by the BUK SAM launcher. After about five or six launches, the game crashed. Could you reproduce it? Yes. It's happened in the same spot more than three times. What module where you using, and does it happen with others? I was using the A-10A FC3 module, but I have not noticed this specific crash with other modules.
  13. RTB Sound Bug Loop; Multiple Modules I have also noticed this sound bug loop in campaign missions and regular missions in multiple modules. I have tested and confirmed that the issue is reproducible in the Su-27, Mig-29, and KA-50 modules with respective campaigns and missions. It seems to be one particular flight that gets stuck in a sound loop in the mission, and the flight will repeat "[Flight#] is RTB at [ALT]" in Russian over and over again. When other comms come in, the message stops momentarily, but it continues shortly thereafter until the user exits the mission. I haven't noticed this issue, yet, with US fighter modules, but I will post additional information if I find it.
  14. Ground Explosions Sound Bug I also have this intermittent sound bug with ground explosions. I have narrowed the issue to ground explosions, exclusively, as it happens consistently only with ground explosions across multiple modules (I tested KA-50 and A10A). I haven't noticed the issue with air explosions. The ground explosions includes bombs, crashes, or AGM missile explosions that are silent.
  15. Missile Sound Bug External View I have also encountered this sound bug with missiles in the external view. The bug seems to occur when the missile is traveling at supersonic speeds, but then it resolves itself once the missile slows down. I've encountered this on multiple modules, and it's reproducible with every missile that I have tested.
  16. Su-27 Ultimate Argument Crash Mission 1 I've also encountered the same crash bug along with a couple other bugs in the first mission of the Su-27 Ultimate Argument Campaign. The three issues I found are as follows: 1) The first mission always crashes right after waypoint 3. The error is a Windows CTD. 2) There is an AN-26 that blocks the end of the runway at the start of the mission. It forces the player to wait a few minutes before taking off. 3) If time compression is used, then the unique Russian voiceover for this mission is completely silent. With regards to the crash bug, I believe that the voiceover is the cause. 1) I encountered this issue more than twice in the same location when the voiceover was working. 2) When the voiceover was not working, I was able to complete the mission. Using time compression stops the voiceover for this mission. I tested it twice with time compression and once without. Both times, with time compression, the voiceover stops. 3) I had to use time compression because the AN-26 sits on the end of the taxiway and blocks takeoff for about five minutes. I'm running the game on Steam with Windows 10. I appreciate all the hard work that everyone has put in to making this a great sim. So far, I really like the changes and improvements. Please let me know if any further information is required to diagnose this bug.
