  1. I also had the problem with CBU-97 which uses no laser.
  2. Here is the requested track replay file. Unfortunately the file size is too large to attach here, so I uploaded it to Drop Box. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nyljt98b1s63xop/Through_The_Inferno_CCS_v1.0.47-20200614-004850.trk?dl=0 I'll try again tonight since there was a patch released to see if the problem persists.
  3. Issue is still present in the current version of DCS open beta. My pilot is almost always killed instantly with a missile hit, so I am unable to eject. However, I don't have this issue in the A-10. Must be the titanium canopy.
  4. Can confirm Tomcat death spin is still an issue. Almost every time I get hit by a missile, I am unable to eject if both of the wings fall off because the Tomcat enters an unrealistic rapidly spinning dive, which renders the crew unconscious. I could understand not being able to eject in the event of crew death, but it doesn't seem realistic that the plane would suddenly start spinning extremely quickly with no wings. There isn't any rotational force applied to the body of the plane, so Newton's 1st law of physics is being broken here: no rotational force = no rotation on the aircraft.
  5. I tried out some ground attack today in the Through the Inferno server, and tried using the TPOD with CCRP CBU97s and GBU12's. In both instances, after designating a target in point track mode and flying with the CCRP release cue, the bombs overshot the target by a significant distance (maybe over 1000 ft)? It looks as though there was an issue earlier with CCRP delivery in the F-16 after last week's update. Has this been fixed? Using DCS 2.5.6.50793 Open Beta.
  6. Also missing runway textures for me on Caucasus. Screenshots were taken on the F-16 Instant Action Takeoff mission at Vaziani, but I also noticed this on multiplayer servers as well. Note that the issue appears to be intermittent and sometimes restarting the game will fix the problem. DCS 2.5.6.50793 Open Beta
  7. +1 confirmed. Flew on a few servers today vs AI. Shot at two F-5s with AIM7s, and they went down, eventually, due to loss of fuel. My F-14 took an R-27 to the nose, and I still had control of the aircraft. Planes are tanking missiles now.
  8. +1 Something about the lighting in the new patch isn’t right. I had difficulty reading the front panel and caution lights in the Tomcat, and the HUD and other cockpit lights seem difficult to see with the new lighting. The exterior lighting seems too bright.
  9. The update to the MiG-21 released today was pretty great! I really enjoy the new afterburner effects and over wing vapor effects. However, the RADAR issue has not been fixed. I am also experiencing about 50% FPS loss when the RADAR is turned on and any portion happens to be pointing at the ground. Hope this gets fixed soon.
  10. Using the latest open beta/stable released this week. The J-11 front glass appears to have an odd transparency texture bug.
  11. Doesn't the AGM-84D have a sea-skimming flight altitude option? As it is right now, the missile is too easy for enemy ships to detect flying at 5000 feet. If I launch four missiles at the Kuznetzov or Moscow, they all get shot down before they can descend to terminal flight or detect the target. The RB-15 flies at 100 feet.
  12. *bump* Any progress on the bomb delay feature?
  13. Check out this cool campaign for the Harrier by Sedlo! We should have more Harrier campaigns!
  14. I just tried this campaign again after the update to open beta released this week, and it appears that at least the first mission is not fixed. The outpost gets destroyed while I am still taxiing to the runway, and I had a mission script error about two minutes after takeoff with an error message about a laser code 1688. Seems like the campaign may need some major work to function in 2.5.6.
  15. That's too bad the update broke the campaign! I was looking forward to trying this one. I hope ED finds a fix, or, if not, I hope you're able to fix it. I really liked your Eastern Friendship campaign for the Hornet! You do such great work!
  16. +1 Also seeing thick black engine exhaust with the F-18 on the latest open beta patch. Exhaust continues to be visible even after completely shutting down the engines on the carrier/ground. Happens in all missions.
  17. Sometimes the damage modeling in this game is really interesting. Nevertheless, I still don't know how I survived that one.
  18. +1 Also getting debriefing error with the Tomcat. I have this same error in another module, but the module is a mod. Other vanilla modules do not have this error for me.
  19. +1. Unable to launch after latest patch released today. I am able to hook up to the catapult, but when my pilot salutes, nothing happens. Tested in training mission and Mig28 mission. I was able to launch by spamming the kneel button when hooked up to the catapult. My wingman never figured out how to launch, though. He stayed on the catapult for the entire mission.
  20. Shots fired! lol. I find ejecting upside down at low altitude more efficient. Gets it over with faster.
  21. I have a walkthrough of all 13 missions in 2.5.5 posted here in case anyone needs help.
  22. That's an interesting concept. It would be nice to re-enter the game during a track. However, we would still need a reliable track recording system for that to be possible. If the game doesn't record exactly what happened, then when you re-enter the track, the situation will be different than what it was. Another thing I didn't think of was new camera angles for the track system like the ability to adjust FOV and separate camera movement controls. Right now, the controls are kind of finicky to move to other angles. You have to use the zoom in/out key in the F11 view to move around, but dedicated movement keys could do this better. It would be perfect to have the F11 camera adjustable on the X, Y, and Z axis with dedicated movement keys, so we can get the perfect shot.
  23. I am refraining from posting this in the "bugs and problems" section given that there are already multiple threads there, and the replay system in the game "works" as designed. However, I would like to request, along with many others, that DCS implement a better track recording system. In this day and age where user content is readily available online through YouTube, it would be much desirable to have the ability to produce high quality videos showcasing DCS. However, with the current track replay system, it is impossible for the average user to produce any videos that use alternate camera angles via replays, since the current replay system reproduces the flight inaccurately due to FPS variations, causing people to crash into the ground when it didn't really happen, etc. I have tried both the single player and multi player tracks, and this happens in both instances. It is disheartening that in such a modern simulation we do not have a reliable track replay system. DCS is a beautiful game, and a good replay system offers so much potential for great user made videos. If you look at other simulations, such as IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad, the replay system works flawlessly, although it is manually executed by the player via a keyboard shortcut during the flight. Regardless, I would happily trade off the ability to record the entire flight, inaccurately, for the ability to reproduce, accurately, a small section of the flight, which could be used to make a video. With the current implementation, a willing human "camera man" is necessary to produce any accurate videos with alternate angles besides my "in cockpit" camera. I simply don't have the resources or people willing to do these recordings for me. As such, it would be great to have a new recording system that works similar to the one in the IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad series. I hope Eagle Dynamics would consider this at some point when it is possible to implement. Thank you for your consideration.
  24. Okay, so I got the JTAC to work. I downloaded the mission file again and waited to contact JTAC until I passed WP5 and climbed to about 12k feet. When I contacted JTAC at that point, I received a response, and I was able to get him to use the laser. I had to circle around before arriving at the target at 15K feet for about a minute while conversing with JTAC until he decided to turn on the laser. At the end, it worked, and the bomb was on target. It seems to be a DCS issue with JTAC not responding to comms when flying in low valleys or an area trigger.
  25. Did you have to contact JTAC or did you drop the bombs without contacting him manually?
