  2. Also, you can just use On-Off-On switches and emulate the middle position in the Arduino sketch (if neither input is On, send the command for the middle position) With diodes toggles will be ok

  7. You don't have to do anything in software, it shows as a gaming device in windows with either 32+hat or 12 available DX buttons depending on the way you wired it
  8. The HAF birds have the AN/ARC-164 (up until the PXIV which have the R&S MR6000L) which is UHF only. I don't know if the VHF they have is the 222 but I bet they have one...
  9. With an On-Off-On switch, your interface can't understand that the switch is in the Off position, it can understand that it's in neither of the On positions. So if your interface permits it, you have to program the action for the center position to be sent when neither of the On positions are active. Or you can use an On-On-On switch.

  11. I had a real Ext Lt lighting plate in my possession. I measured it accurately and after cross-checking the basic dimensions with MS25212 I think I've made a quite accurate panel model. So, here it is (*.stp format). extlt.zip
  12. My question is why use a pot? IRL the pinky lever is just a mechanical release to allow you to turn the throttle grip up an go past idle to shut down. It's not an analog control.

  14. F-16 is also on-off-(on). Which makes sense. You want to carefully close the canopy (not catch something) but while opening you can just send it up to the limit switch...
  15. I don't know about the Hornet, but in two-seater Vipers the throttles are mechanically linked, the sticks are switced, they don't work together. You should read the NATOPS to see if this is he case with the Hornet or not.

  17. Probably so, I was thinking the same. I faced the same problem with the larger square displays I found for 3.25" gauges. One can always cut the heads of the screws, glue them on and clamp the gauge from behind the panel.

  22. If you have physical panels, why not use the physical switch? If there is an output from DCS-BIOS to tell if you have power it will be great but if you use a check list and turn up lighting at the proper time it wouldn't be an issue...

Position ??? Sorry for the missing dims, I have sold the panel and my notes were not complete...
  24. Well, since in the real a/c the cover is just a cover, authenticity would mean being able to disable the cover commands in software and just rely on the cover for mechanical protection. I didn't read through the thread that JG14_Smil linked, it might be what he meant...
