  1. Don't take everything you see at an airshow as correct tactical procedure, there's probably a bit of added 'Wow-factor' for the taxpayers in that picture.
  2. I've seen the start-up failure happen in beta on the Persian Gulf map, but not in every mission, indeed if I select the #2 aircraft in the mission I'm testing it doesn't affect it either. I ramp-start manually now anyway.
  3. You've checked the RWR is switched on, yes? (Control panel below the centre MPCD) I experienced exactly what you've described myself last night & blamed the update but I had missed the switch-on in my ramp start. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks, this helped with my understanding of how it works versus how it was said to work in an instructional youtube video I was watching. The internet is always right!!
  5. That looks like an intense workout, did the stick work ok afterwards & was there any physical effect on the gimbal? If you need any help with testing to destruction, I have a 3 year-old boy here who has already found & exceeded the stress limits of my Cougar stick... Sent from my SM-T585 using Tapatalk
  6. I saw my desired stick's status changed to 'in stock' this morning, but by the time I got to checkout they were sold out again. Frustrated much? I know this is probably one of the best sticks available now and worth the wait but I NEED a new stick urgently as my Cougar's gimbal has prety well fallen apart. I don't think i can wait four months & at the same time I don't want to waste money on a Warthog just because they're available. Same sort of story with VKB, pay up & wait. Maybe not as long as for a Virpil, but I'm not exactly flushed with confidence in their customer service having read some forum posts, which is a shame as it looks the slightly better product of the two. Just venting here as I rarely have money to burn & now that I have, I can't get what I've been needing for some time... Sent from my SM-T585 using Tapatalk

  8. I can start the jet and align the INS ok now thanks to Chuck's guide  A good thing I bought that map then. I can confirm this training session runs ok on it though.
  9. I concur both points, as a new Mirage owner getting to grips with acronyms in French, I had to repeat that part 3 times before getting it right. It would be better if the 3 switches were highlighted as seperate events. Also Chuck's guide details a completely different process for aligning the INS leading to further confusion. You could instead set your INS to always be aligned in the M2000 special options at the main DCS menu. I haven't tried the training mission yet with it enabled to test the effect as I only found this out today. Well how about that, my crash log is too big to attach...
