Apollo: ah, I thought it was just me. I actually changed the waypoint altitude to 100Mt and I could easily find all of the targets. Hopefully the TGP will be fixed soon. 711: wish I could read Russian. I will try to translate.

How do you guys spot targets on the ground?? I am doing the mission Weapons training and it took me 30 min to find the targets! Any hints? Thanks! e.

Hello again, I finally figured out what the problem is: MSAA setting in DCS. Even at 2X brakes the real-time update in Helios. I am now using the ExportScript lua file from Hawgtouch though. In any case MSAA is the problem.
-
Hello Capt. Zeen, Yep I already tried it and nothing changed unfortunately. I am starting to think that it might be a problem related to having only 8Gb oF ram?
-
Will try replacing the file and give it another go! Will report back.

The interface and controls of instruments/gauges seems to me, just from using it half an hour or so, not that intuitive compared to Helios which has a nice GUI. Might be because I have not explored Hawgtouch deeply. I was playing around a bit more with it and now the gauges are not moving at all. I have checked the export.lua and the settings are correct (port and interface) Also I was reading in another thread that we should not touch the enable/disable button in the control panel? Mine says disabled now and how to I enable export??

HawgTouch - Free Panels & Gauges for A-10C
AstroEma replied to ClearDark's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
HI all, I have installed Hawgtouch and followed the manual but the gauges are not moving. I already unblocked the permission on the file. Any help? Thank you. -
Quick update: I installed HawgTouch and it works, in realtime. That means that there's something wrong in the configuration of the export scripts or export lua in Helios. Still looking for a solution. While Hawgtouch is nice, it is certainly not as advanced as Helios is.
-
Thanks guys. Any links to Hawgtouch or Ikarus? EDIT: Found them. My specs are: Intel Skylake 4.5ghz, 8gb Ram, 250gb SSD M2, 1Tb HDD, GTX970G1

bump! Still hoping someone has a solution. Otherwise I will have to ditch Helios.

[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
AstroEma replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Here you go Snacko. Enjoy. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2659146&postcount=5 -
Thanks for your feedback BravoYankee. I changed the gExportInterval to 0.0067 without success. I also tried to disable the cockpit but still gives me the same problem.

Well, digging into it I found out what the problem is: If I view the aircraft from outside using F3 and No ground is visible in the monitors view, then the gauges and instruments in helios update in real-time If the ground comes into view, they start lagging badly. The peculiar fact is that I get 45-50 fps average in cockpit. Any idea for a fix?

anyone else?

HI guys, I have a problem with Helios not refreshing the gauges and instruments exported, fast enough. I tried changing the refresh rate in the export.lua file but there was no change in the result. I am using Windows 10 so there's no Aero theme. Just wondering if anyone encountered this problem before? Thank you,
-
I am using a 12V 2A power supply without any problems.
-
No worries. Thanks Rickety!

I'll get the Thrustmaster MFD if the price is right! You mean the Cougars, right?

Hi there, I have the same board and I did not have this problem. I actually turned it on the first time without VGA or HDMI cables connected and I could switch inputs. Hope this helps. E.

Awesome, thank you all! And special thanks to Marduk! Will try that!

Hi all. Is there any way to move DCS 1.5 and 2.0 from my Storage HDD to my SSD? Do I have to reinstall everything or is there a simpler procedure? Thank you! E.
-
Thanks Rickety, I was actually missing the export.lua file in the Scripts folder inside SavedGames etc. Appreciate very much your help. It seems though that the gauges move at a very low frame rate. Like 1-2 FPS maximum. Any help on that? Thanks!

HI all, I have been trying to configure helios to work with DCS but I need some help please. Installed Helios latest built and Capt.Loz 2.1 profile. (I am running 3 27" 1920x1080 screen and another screen to the right 24" 1920x1200) I have pointed Helios to the DCS10C installed directory. This did not create an export.lua file apparently. So I found the correct export.lua file and copied it over the original one in the DCSOpenBeta/Scprits (should I leave it there??) Helios does not read any of the A10C gauges, nor is it exporting the Digital Clock (testing only this one for now). I also replaced the MonitorConfig file with a new one which should export the Viewports. But it does not. I tried changing the names of the ViewPort (i.e DIGIT_CLOCK to DIGIT_CLK) but made no difference. Probably something stupidly easy that I am not doing but its driving me crazy. Thank you very much. Cheers, e

ok, so I solved the problem apparently. I tried a different socket in the wall plug and all is ok. Might have a grounding issue in the socket. Now I have another problem. If I use an HDMI to DVI-I cable to connect the 8" monitor to the PC, two of the three displays (connected using DP) shut off. If I use an HDMI to HDMI cable for the 8" monitor, then everything works as it should. The video card is a Gigabyte GTX970G1. I only have 2 ports left (2 DVI ports) and 1 I will use it for a 27" display using Helios to export the instruments, the other DVI is for the other 8" monitor! any idea why I cant use HDMI to DVI?
-
hello guys, thank you for your help. The monitor is this one here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/8-TFT-LCD-Display-ModuleHDMI-VGA-2AV-Driver-Board-for-Raspberry-Pi-/181395634298?hash=item2a3c05b87a:g:XaMAAOxy4eJTNB5o&autorefresh=true the power supply is a normal 12V 2A (positive in) PS. The area that got very hot was near the PS connector, HDMI connector. Could it be the HDMI cable? EDIT: actually I disconnected the Hdmi cable and tried in a different wall outlet. The board does not get hot and powers up normally. I guess it is the HDMI to DVI cable but why would it be that? Is it a grounding issue?
