  1. For anyone waiting for their Vive, I can confirm that DCS 1.5.3 supports it without any problems. And it is a way better experience than using the Rift. No judder, no latency of any kind, and the feeling of being in the cockpit is seriously incredible. Only thing is that when in the cockpit the position of the virtual camera is a bit too far back, and almost flushed with the backrest of the seat. I can somewhat read the MFDs in the A10, and most of the gauges. But in no way the engraved panels can be read. In the Mirage, while the cockpit is perfect in 3D, there's no way to read most of the instruments or MFDs. All in all, a heart racing experience but no way usable for mission flying.
  2. Actually, have been playing all the VR games/demo in steam since yesterday and there's absolutely no latency in the headset and the controllers. Much better resolution as well for some reason (same specs on paper)
  3. Yep, recieved it a few weeks ago. Didn't have time to set it up until today. Seriously awesome. Completely different experience from the Rift. How do I set it up with DCS?
  4. Am I going to be the first one to try it out with DCS? :music_whistling::music_whistling:
  5. Thanks Guys, it worked perfectly now. The problem was a combination of hof and rpm settings!
  6. So, I am playing the Overwatch mission and there is some infantry on the ground which needs CBU87 to be killed. Dropping the bombs with the standard settings -hof 1800- disintegrates the bomb in the air and I don't see any droplets ejected. I tried changing the hof to 3000 and the same thing happens: bombs drops and the explodes in the air. Height of terrain is 1700. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! E.
  7. Thanks Guys for all the information you are giving! Seriously a wealth of info! I have turned on Large Icons and Labels, and it is easier to find targets, but still it should be more obvious than it is. I do not believe it is as difficult in real life to spot something on the ground, be it either infantry or ground vehicles. Try and do the Overwatch mission and spot the infantry on the hills.....
  8. Totally agree with you on that. What I allowing annoying is that there's no feedback on the right mfd while creating mark points. I would have that they would have some kind of feedback instead of having to look on the TAD.
  9. Apollo: ah, I thought it was just me. I actually changed the waypoint altitude to 100Mt and I could easily find all of the targets. Hopefully the TGP will be fixed soon. 711: wish I could read Russian. I will try to translate.
  10. How do you guys spot targets on the ground?? I am doing the mission Weapons training and it took me 30 min to find the targets! Any hints? Thanks! e.
  11. Hello again, I finally figured out what the problem is: MSAA setting in DCS. Even at 2X brakes the real-time update in Helios. I am now using the ExportScript lua file from Hawgtouch though. In any case MSAA is the problem.
  12. Hello Capt. Zeen, Yep I already tried it and nothing changed unfortunately. I am starting to think that it might be a problem related to having only 8Gb oF ram?
  13. Will try replacing the file and give it another go! Will report back.
  14. The interface and controls of instruments/gauges seems to me, just from using it half an hour or so, not that intuitive compared to Helios which has a nice GUI. Might be because I have not explored Hawgtouch deeply. I was playing around a bit more with it and now the gauges are not moving at all. I have checked the export.lua and the settings are correct (port and interface) Also I was reading in another thread that we should not touch the enable/disable button in the control panel? Mine says disabled now and how to I enable export??
  15. HI all, I have installed Hawgtouch and followed the manual but the gauges are not moving. I already unblocked the permission on the file. Any help? Thank you.
  16. Quick update: I installed HawgTouch and it works, in realtime. That means that there's something wrong in the configuration of the export scripts or export lua in Helios. Still looking for a solution. While Hawgtouch is nice, it is certainly not as advanced as Helios is.
  17. Thanks guys. Any links to Hawgtouch or Ikarus? EDIT: Found them. My specs are: Intel Skylake 4.5ghz, 8gb Ram, 250gb SSD M2, 1Tb HDD, GTX970G1
  18. bump! Still hoping someone has a solution. Otherwise I will have to ditch Helios.
  19. Here you go Snacko. Enjoy. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2659146&postcount=5
  20. Thanks for your feedback BravoYankee. I changed the gExportInterval to 0.0067 without success. I also tried to disable the cockpit but still gives me the same problem.
  21. Well, digging into it I found out what the problem is: If I view the aircraft from outside using F3 and No ground is visible in the monitors view, then the gauges and instruments in helios update in real-time If the ground comes into view, they start lagging badly. The peculiar fact is that I get 45-50 fps average in cockpit. Any idea for a fix?
  22. anyone else?
  23. HI guys, I have a problem with Helios not refreshing the gauges and instruments exported, fast enough. I tried changing the refresh rate in the export.lua file but there was no change in the result. I am using Windows 10 so there's no Aero theme. Just wondering if anyone encountered this problem before? Thank you,
  24. I am using a 12V 2A power supply without any problems.
  25. No worries. Thanks Rickety!
