I have attached a track of the F/A-18 showing no left yaw on takeoff. Conditions are the exact same as my F-16 tracks...aircraft are clean with no pylons, no wind. For each takeoff, my feet were on the floor and no rudder input was made. Why does the F-16 yaw left on takeoff and the F/A-18C does not? Is this accurate behavior? F-18 takeoff.trk

Track attached... I have attached a track showing the flickering of the canopy tint. F-16 Canopy Flickering.trk

Yes, many of us are experiencing this. Take a look at the following thread... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251375

Is anyone else having a tough time with rudder control during takeoff and landing? I am having the most difficult time keeping the F-16 straight and under control. I do not have any difficulty whatsoever with the F/A-18 or F-14 and don't even need any rudder input during takeoff/landing unless there is an asymmetrical loadout; but even then, rudder input is minimal and very easy to control. I am finding the F-16 on the other hand to need rudder at all times during takeoff/landing and the rudder input is extremely sensitive on top of that. With the other aircraft, I use a rudder axis curve of 25 which has worked out perfectly. With the F-16, I am using a 50 curve and still find it too sensitive to the slightest of inputs. All of this is with no wind and a clean jet. Does anyone having any tips? Is this realistic behavior? On a side note, there is the following thread in the Bugs section that may or may not be related... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251375

Thanks for the clarification, I misunderstood it's use. No matter though since it isn't present in our F-16

Yes, very noticeable for me too. I will try to upload a track sometime unless someone else can beat me to it. There is a similar thread that is maybe related or the exact same problem... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=252173

Roger that. During fence in, are the exterior lights turned off with the MASTER COVERT knob then?
-
It would be great to have an axis binding in the controls menu for the MASTER COVERT knob once all the lighting is added to early access. This seems like it would be a frequently used knob while flying on a combat mission.
-
Does our version of the F-16 have the blackout switch on the throttle? I don't seem a binding for it anywhere in the controls menu.

Performance and acceleration are not the same as initial release... As you can see in the following post, tests have been done to record the changes https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4071932&postcount=302 I have done a much less official and scientific method of testing, but have observed an increase in acceleration as well. I remember doing an afterburner takeoff right after release where I level off a few feet above the runway after raising the gear and seeing what speed I can reach by the end of the runway. I did the same takeoff after the latest patch and noticed a increase of approximately 25 knots at the end of the runway.

Has ED been able to verify the left roll/yaw? I am still experiencing left yaw on takeoff and left roll while in the air. Has ED been able to reproduce this yet? I have included four new tracks showing the behavior in addition to the two I posted last week https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4063776&postcount=38 1st track shows a slight left roll while airborne; clean jet no pylons 2nd track shows a more pronounced left roll while airborne; wing drop tanks 3rd track shows left yaw on takeoff; clean jet no pylons 4th track shows left yaw on takeoff; wing drop tanks I have the control indicator visible on each track as well so that you can see that no control input other than throttle is being made. Each track is with default weather, no wind, on the NTTR map. F-16 left roll test clean.trk F-16 left roll test tanks.trk F-16 left yaw test clean.trk F-16 left yaw test tanks.trk

Hopefully this post will be labeled 'WIP" by ED then...

The autoexec.cfg hot plug fix actually increased stutters for me. What has given me a noticeable performance improvement and decrease in any perceived stutter is using Process Lasso from https://bitsum.com/. There are numerous posts on these forums about the benefits and how to use it. I have set the following for both DCS and TrackIR: Priority Class...Always=High CPU Affinity...Always=Single threaded performance mode I/O Priority...Always=High Memory Priority...Always= 5 Normal Application Power Profile...Always=High Performance Try this out, hopefully it will help!

CAT I is for air to air loadouts only, no drop tanks CAT III is with drop tanks and/or air to ground weapons.
-
Hmm, don't know. We might need a bit more information to troubleshoot. Also, you seeing a constant 144 fps with Vsync enabled does not make sense. What are your DCS graphics settings? If they are all maxed out ,then 50 FPS might actually be expected.

Agreed...this is a project that ED could outsource to volunteers and the many talented members of the community.

After yesterday's patch, the left yaw on takeoff is still present for me. I have finally been able to a bit more flying and did notice the left roll while airborne as well that others have been reporting...I had a clean jet with pylons only.
-
I do not see any stutters except for the micro stutters from TrackIR; however, I thought I would give this a try to see what it would do. For me, it significantly increased the number of large stutters I experienced. I have since deleted the .cfg file and all back to normal. It did not work for me but hopefully it benefits others.
-
I have experienced something similar with the F-16 as well. To me, it seems like the canopy tint dissapears for a second or so then returns to normal.
-
+1 I have not received any feedback yet on the tracks I posted...
-
I never have...I barely have enough time to fly and learn all the systems and procedures as is without having to worry about failures.

What Flight Stick would you recommend?
Donut replied to seek's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have and strongly recommend the Thrustmaster Warthog Flight Stick...it's practically an exact replica and very high quality. Right now, it's $250 on Amazon if you can stretch your budget a little higher. There is the Logitech X56 for $226, but that is stick and throttle that can't be purchased separately unless found used on eBay. It has a great amount of buttons and hat switches though. The Thrustmaster T16000 FCS is well within your budget, but doesn't have nearly enough buttons/hat switches. CH Products Fighterstick is $120 and is a replica of the F-16 stick; however, it is a bit dated and uses older hardware/software. Many people love it though.
