Yep, and the 120's were still in the testing/production phase and never got to the Cat. I'm an old tanker and we had M-48A5 trying to plink targets with the 105 we knew our "Ah <profanity> Ranges". When we got the M1A2's with the 120 smooth bore the standoff changed, but the tactics were the same

I thought it was interesting that all Bio's timelines were for the AIM 7's and not the 54's. If I remember the quote correctly, "They were for carrier defense only." seems like everyone straps 54's in their tunnels and forgets the 7's were the primary A2A weapons

I'm all for letting the mission builder determine if he/she/it want's everyone to cold start or have the Autostart enabled. It won't make a difference on the multiplayer servers except for those hawking around the airfield for an easy kill.

Bubba in CVW8 was a real Cat driver before he was forced to go to a Bug. He said the preferred wingsweep was between 35-38. While I'm not an expert in refueling by any sense, it seems to help me stabilize before moving into the basket. FYSA "Bubba" is not his callsign

I think we carried 2 of them on the EA6A's at Whidbey when I was in 309. But then again I was just a P/C and had no idea what was hanging on the stations and why.
