Yup, still get black screen. That's the problem. I can't since my last rig died, and this is my only good monitor display left. I don't have any more gpu's to swap out, and my last one was WAY underpowered(512MB tops), so there's not much room for me to do anything at this point. EDIT: Oh, NOW it decides to run. WTF!?

So as I just started getting the final touches to get back into DCS, my ONLY monitor decides to just black out and quit on me. What I mean by this is is that it not necessarily dead for good, rather it just won't display anything at all...ANYTHING.:mad: I tried to do everything I could possibly think of to try and get it back up.....only to see infinite blackness yet again. I checked the rig to see if there were loose parts, nothing. Did an Auto-Adjust on the monitor, as well as a self test, nothing. Restart the rig countless times over, even restarted my circuit breaker......Zilch.:doh: Keyboard nor mouse wouldn't respond either, so if anyone knows what this is, or why this just occured, please tell me. EDIT: This happened yesterday afternoon, ICYWW.

No, it just blacked out on its own. Pressed the Auto-Adjust button, works there, but anything else is just black screen. EDIT: Neither keyboard nor mouse plugs work when powered. And power goes off instantly when pressed upon too.

:doh:Okay, new problem: As I was just fooling around with it, my screen just decides to black out on its own all of a sudden(don't know why or how, it just did). I see what you did there.:D EDIT: Ooh, you also forgot about that one carrier-based drone that I can't seem to remember it's name, but imo could go good for naval ops for C.A. Then again, it's still in it's infancy stage.

I think I got it now. Used my hard drive as a boot option, and it all came together now!:P Now all I need to do now is get an network card and sound card installed and it should be fine! EDIT: Starting to test on dcs, but holy Christ the frames drop so hard, mightve been a bad idea!:doh: Question: What is the main gaming part as to obtain an optimal range of framerates and what else is needed from it?

Okay, after finally getting all my hardware together, I've moved to the motherboard stage setup. Only thing now I ask myself(and the dcs community) is: WHAT DO I DO NOW!?:helpsmilie::huh: Thank you.

So I've managed to scrape up some $ to buy my first fighter module, the Su-27. But I'm not entirely sure how to properly utilize its systems yet, or how to engage, should a dogfight ensue my way. Would there be any tips as to how to learn and(hopefully)master this fighter once I'm back to DCS?

Which aircraft carrier design do you find most appealing to you, be it American, Russian, British, WW1/2, 50s, etc?

Spawning areas on the carriers other than the catapults, specifically on the elevators. Made a thread about it here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=186748

Since we have both the Vinson and Kuznetsov carriers, and both are able to spawn planes to their catapults, why not make certain places on the ships to have them spawn in a parked position(wings folded, obviously) to taxi them to the desired catapults? Specifically, on the elevator positions? Then once they've reached a certain point on, or near the catapult(s), have it position the aircraft for takeoff? The Vinson has 4 catapults as well as 4 elevator spaces for parking, the Kuznetsov might be a bit more work to spot.

I got a recent FX-8350 8-core CPU that came with its own fan along with a Hyper 212 heatsink fan as well from AMD. Maybe some companies include it while others just send the chip.

I never really bothered much about what types of fans would I be interested in until my old rig broke down. Even then, I already knew which fan to pick out. What I didn't think would happen is that the cpu would come with its own fan as well.

Understandable, which is why there's the original link above it case the video doesn't work.

What's your more preferred method of using these types of fans to keep your cpu in the green light, even if you do or don't overclock it much?

Well, just in case it does go south, just recieved a PSU tester today, tested it three to four times today, and everything looks copacetic now. All three lights were green, and PG value seems in range. So I'll go for this for now.

What other places of the United States would you think could suit the DCS world?
