Was your tailwheel locked in the 109? Try unlocking the tailwheel in the 109 and compare again. Also at what ata/ boost are you taking off in both planes? The undercarriage width of later 109s and Spits is pretty much identical.

The G-14s captured in Normandy all had MW50, there is also no way to turn off the weight of the empty MW50 tank and systems of the K-4. And while were at it, how about restricting that tail warning radar of that P-51 or that K-14 gunsight that wasnt available at that time.. Cmon, this is just dumbing it down.

Hello guys! Could somebody of you experienced joystick modders please quickly check over my ProMicro Shield before I order it from OSHPark. I have no experience with shift registers so far and this is where I am the most unsure. Are the D0-D3 pins I selected valid options for shift regs? Also I am not sure I will mount all the pullup Rs except for the MISO (lowest) one which I believe is the most important. Thank you guys, I appreciate the help!

Suncom SFS and Talon restoration and mods
rel4y replied to debolestis's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hello SergeyPe! First of all, thank you for uploading all of your Sprint layout files, these are incredibly helpful in any joystick modding endeavor. Ok, got it. So the RKJXL it is. I downloaded the suncom lay6 file from your post here. If I understand correctly I just need the six edged PCB from the right side or wire it manually, no diodes required. Thats great, thanks! -
Suncom SFS and Talon restoration and mods

That looks quite interesting. So the 74HC4066 chip replaces the need for the second PCB SergeyPe posted here and also for the diodes on the mounting PCB? If I only need a 4 way HAT with push button function is the Alps RKJXM the best choice out there? Are these similarly sturdy as the OMRON switches? -
BRD-DS ‘Raven’ Review - The Man & The Machine

I thought the electronics are already Warthog compatible. And if they are Warthog compatible, then they are also T50 compatible? -
BRD-DS ‘Raven’ Review - The Man & The Machine
rel4y replied to Fubarbrickdust's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The VPC MongoosT-50 Grip is compatible with the Warthog base and therefore with the Warthog connector and electronics. As long as the pipe has 23mm inside diameter the adapter Sokol and I have posted will fit. But a DIY option or ordering one from one of the many 3D printing offers may be cheaper than a package from russia. -

BRD-DS ‘Raven’ Review - The Man & The Machine

I know you make these parts from metal, but so does laser sintering on shapeways. He wants to buy this warthog adapter from you. http://avia-sim.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=889&sid=5297e62c09512bf8300e1b418937e849&start=45#p30890 -
BRD-DS ‘Raven’ Review - The Man & The Machine
rel4y replied to Fubarbrickdust's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That is what I am trying to do as well. But I am sadly missing some dimensions.. I need the depth of the "star shaped" cutout on top, or more precisely the distance between the flat top surface and the plastic suface of the mini DIN PS2 connector, where the contacts plug in. If any of you guys could help me out it would be much appreciated, I will upload the result to shapeways anyway. -
The only thing is that the elevator trim tabs are neutral. The pitch up moment is pretty much exactly like in Ver. Bericht 109 02 E44 described. I compensated for the 5-6% MAC different CG of the tested G model to the K and used respectively empty MW50 + reduced fuel. It all fits, but trim tabs are set neutral. PS: One has to also mention that for K-4 production the tabs were doubled in size. I think this was done for a reason. K-4 G-6

As Monica and AN/APS-13 have the same schematic, I'd argue I might as well call it Monica. The antenna array looks a bit different. It's basically still a mere copy of the British radar. Btw it's gonna be a second version like with the Albatros, the NA-30 will most definitely stay. I think ED have already communicated that it will. And no, only late SN D20 had factory fitted K-14. Our PTO Mustang has a factory model an not a N9 field conversion, so it is not a field modded British Gyro sight MkII which is the original British version of the K-14. I have written several lengthy posts about this whole block topic a few years ago.

No it is going to have theatre appropriate boost of 72" Hg. It is also going to be a bit lighter, but will most likely lose HVARS, the Monica radar and maybe K-14 gunsight. There is no evidence of HVARS being used by P-51s in the ETO btw.

"sound-radar"...official opinion on it?

lol That escalated quickly.. Even the heated FM and fuel discussions were done with more respect and dignity. What a bunch of bs.. -
Controling tendency to want to roll during flight?

109 also has pitch trim? -
Thanks again! I am sorry if I am spamming your thread please tell me and I will make a new thread. I removed the M4 threads as you advised and went with the core drill holes of 3,3mm. Today I received the Gardena nut and finished the exterior of the adapter. I found some Mini DIN connectors on Aliexpress, similar to the Warthog. I will go with 6 pin even though the TM connectors are only 5 pin. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10PCS-MDC-S-Terminal-connectors-Mini-PS2-Socket-din-seat-PS2-6P-female-seat-straight-inserted/32822109240.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mini-6-Pin-DIN-Male-Solder-Connector-With-Plastic-Handle-Soldering-cables-DIY-3pcs-lot/32730212630.html I am thinking about putting interlocking "teeth" on the opposing surfaces of the adapters to freely adjust grip rotation, eg in 5° increments. Do you think this whole thing is feasible in Nylon SLS? Initially I wanted to machine it from Aluminium locally, but then I need to wait 2 months and I wouldnt have the possibility to make a cheap prototype. Edit: like this! But I guess it doesnt make much sense for compatibility. :/

Controling tendency to want to roll during flight?
rel4y replied to DocSigma's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
Ok, just tested. Thats 1.15 ata at 2400 rpm. The rudder is perfectly trimmed at that speed, buuuuut the elevator is totally out of whack! The nose points to the sky. But the engine settings seem to be correct. Please try 1.15 ata, auto pitch sets 2400 rpm by itself btw. But the plane is not trimmed! -
Controling tendency to want to roll during flight?
rel4y replied to DocSigma's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
In order of most to least fuel efficient: Sparflug = max cruise Höchstzulässige Dauerleistung = max continuous Steig- und Kampfleistung = military power Start- und Notleistung = WEP (without MW50) Sondernotleistung = WEP (with MW50) Reiseflug is somewhere between Sparflug and Höchstzulässige Dauerleistung. For the K-4 Reiseflug is 645 kph (1030 PS) at 8,4 km altitude. Dont know what ata it corrosponds to and 645 kph seem a bit fast for 1030 PS, but this is theoretically what it should be trimmed for! -
Sorry cant post a photo right now, but it is the one from this thread here. https://translate.google.com/translate?depth=1&hl=de&rurl=translate.google.de&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http://avia-sim.ru/forum/viewtopic.php%3Ff%3D27%26t%3D889%26sid%3D03c28c3f4a0be5be908e87e2f6566c9d Shapeways quotes a layer thickness of 0.15mm for SLS, that would be 26 layers for M4, thats not very many. I have no experience with 3D printing so I will just listen to you. :) Could you tell me the top hole diameter of the Gardena nut and approximate top layer thickness please? Btw I can send you the 3D model of the CH Combatstick adapter, then you have the exact measurements for your projects if you are interested.

+1 good selection Solty!

Baur BRD DS to warthog adapter. Or basically I just want to use the TM M36x2 system, as pretty much anybody offers warthog adapters for their sticks and Gardena nuts are awesome! At the moment I will use it with a CH Combatstick and will design another adapter aound a Gardena nut, which should arrive in the next few days. Do you know if I can accurately print M4 threads with nylon SLS btw? Earlier in your thread you said you cant print M2 or whaterver it was, as its too small.

Hey Debolestis! Which plastic would you recommend for the mechanical parts? I dont want the plastic breaking anytime soon...
