  1. Maybe you can start with a used one. rift cv1 or vive. That should be doable in this price range.
  2. bzgl. Video Konferenz. Inkl. screensharing, chat etc. Oder gotomeeting.com. Gibt bestimmt noch viele weitere Möglichkeiten.
  3. I dont see worse performance in anton, but im running a 2080ti. I also have to turn off motion smoothing to get rid of the artifacts. The image is manipulated outside of the dcs engine, they dont have control over it other than implementing some workarounds. SteamVR should rather work on a solution. :)
  4. Yeah it's quite challenging (not a real problem) to identify other planes. E.g. with the FW190 i don't have the luxury to go into turnfights, so when approaching a gray dot at medium to high speeds my brain has a quarter of a second to label it friendly or enemy until I have to pull the trigger or if friendly to salute and turn away :smilewink: But the rest of the VR WWII experience is way better than on a screen.
  5. Hi, after the latest patch, I have a problem with the electrical system. When i switch on the cannons, the cockpit light and gunsight is flickering and then some fuses get blown. I did not completely work through the manual yet, just a quick look into the startup section. I might look through the full manual on the upcoming weekend. I was using the battery for startup, could that be a reason for the electrical problem mid flight? It is reproducable.

  7. Thanks @msalama, didn't know about the auto enabled takeoff assistant :joystick:
  8. My new favorite module The Anton is just awesome in VR. Cranking the flywheel and then starting that big engine is just so awesome :pilotfly: I could do that all day. Having some problems with the tailwheel on the ground though, but as long as you lock it, it's all good. Also i noticed that sometimes the rudder is moving by itself. But could also be a wrong setup from my side. Imo the cockpit has such a good user experience, pretty easy to get it going. My new favorite module
  9. Same in both versions System win 10 pro n msi 2080ti nvidia 430.86 7700k oc 5ghz 32gb 3200 ram Steam VR beta 1.5.10 motion smoothing off (just turned off for the test) reprojection can't be manually turned off in beta custom resolution 100% (default is 200%) Headset: Vive Pro DCS pixel density 1.0 options.lua: open beta 45fps (frametime displayed in steam vr: 14ms, which should be 72fps) stable (deleted metashaders and fxo) 45fps (same frametime) So i guess in this specific test setup there is no difference for me. But there is quite a strange behavior which i captured in 2 screenshots. The first one is around 90fps and shows the sky as well as the terrain. The second one is around 46fps and shows the same thing, just a bit tilted down. https://imgur.com/a/RO5Qxpy Maybe you can create some sort of small vr benchmark which automatically captures the results, so we can help testing better in the future.

    A big THANK YOU!

+1 Thx for all the effort you put into this project. One of the best VR experiences in 2019 and beyond. Gesendet von meinem SM-G960F mit Tapatalk
  11. hi thx, yeah maybe. I added a performance counter for all 46 DCS threads, and as it seems there are basically only 2 with a somewhat utilisation (render, sound?). But still around 50% the max. I increased the graphics a bit and I'm now quite happy for the moment. The 2080ti delivers more stable 45fps and less stuttering and jagginess than the 1080ti though. Here another screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/CzJLsmN But you could be right, i found this thread which seems to have a legit explanation to this behavior :) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=198669 :pilotfly:
  12. Hi guys, how would you interpret the following performance stats? The problem ist, cpu is at 49% and gpu is at 59%, but still frames are capped at 45fps and the latency is at ~13ms. Vive Pro Msi 2080ti Ventus 7700k @5ghz (hyper threading disabled) 32gb 3200 with XMP enabled samsung SSD supersampling is at 1.0. nvideo control panel at performance mode. steam vr beta with motion smoothing disabled. (enabled is better though) Isnt that a little bit strange? Here is a screenshot. At the left is the steam vr app, right next to it the taskmanager, and the vive pro mirror. https://imgur.com/a/XNF6Olw thx and have a safe landing... Do you think if i would get it below 11ms latency, then it will push the 90fps and have the cpu and gpu under full load? I think i will try to get the reprojection thing turned off and see what happens.
