  1. There is already an option in the ME to open the doors by trigger action, and by the player over the keyboard. The only thing I miss is a way to get the AI open up their doors without a hostile target available. No front doors are not really common.

  3. First of all, you have all my respect. :thumbup: And I hope there are still new things to discover and to learn, so it is not that boring. Personally, I would have found already a few not so fine words about the developer. Regardless off the information about the level of difficulty and the way things are done. I check that out today and will make a video off that part of the mission. It should be online within 24 hours. I keep it as short as possible because it takes so long to upload a full video. Mission No. 4 and 5 are also now subject to a major update. Like already done with 1-3 they may be hopefully released in January 2020. With all the feedback out of the community, we working hard on making the missions more accessible for anyone regardless of how much experience in helicopter flight they have. But it will undoubtedly remain a tough nut to crack. Flying a helicopter around in DCS for fun and destroying targets will definitely not be enough.
  4. I only heard that once or twice before. But a timing problem is very likely because the manpdas you transport upstairs should keep the KA-50 away from you. Be careful though. Even after the 2 landings upstairs choose the way around the battlefield. The KA-50 and Mi8 are coming from the east-south-east and avoid this area. I hope you have another 5 to 10 million left for a new UH-1. :music_whistling:

  6. Hey this is the conversation after deploying troops on the mountaintop behind the bunkers. WOLF 1 responds to the assistance call, while your job is still the troop transport (57).:music_whistling: SIERRA/OSCAR (55) - - WOLF 1 - - SIERRA / OSCAR - - - - We need your assistance on our Eastern Flank - - - - Enemy units are getting closer. We have not enough firepower to keep them from doing that - - WOLF 1 (56) - - Rodger – SIERRA / OSCAR - - Attacking Enemy East of the Station - - SIERRA/OSCAR (57) - - A Group of Infantries will be there in a few seconds - - - - Take them up at the back of the attacker, so we heckle them - - - - The second Man Pad is still not available - - TOM LEFT/GUNNER (58) Everyone on board – ready to go - - PETER / CO (59) We fly towards the first LZ crossing the enemy to the right and get at his back - - PETER / CO (60) There is one single Tree on the opposite Plateau – use them as cover and land close behind him - - PETER / CO (60a) The first tree to the left – don't fly too far away from where the action is - - ---------------------- If you do so, passing over LZ 1 you will get the information about the tree and his location. It,s all about, situation awareness, remembering what was the first LZ and acting in accordance with the advice given. We know that is not an easy task and in that kind of combat mission more important than actually flying the aircraft.

There are only 2 or three trees over there. Of cause you use the tree as cover so you pick the right side for your landing by nature. We already realised, that the missions are challenging for pilot skills, but situation awareness may be the much bigger problem. So we du our best to provide instant help (DISCORD) and already working on ethery single mission adding additional guidance. Videos also get published when the reworked version is internal finished but we are at mission 3 right now. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP WE WILL RELEAS A VIDEO ABOUT THIS TOICK WITHIN 48 HOUERS !!   10. Voice-acting is also on top of the to-do list and we working on that as well. So actual we improve the sound quality of many voice files, while we change others complete with new actors thanks to the help out of the community. So mission 3 will be one of the missions many of the voice-actors changing with the next mission update, hopefully in January 2020. We also improve the second part in the gameplay of mission 3 in regard to the improved Air and Ground AI's in DCS, and this will be also part of the next mission update.
  11. Hello and welcome to DCS If you an airplane pilot, there are lot's of competent Jockeys and Squads around here. If you a helicopter pilot or you think about getting closer to Low-Level Heaven, DCS is the best you can get. Feel free to ask me about helicopter related stuff. But I don't know anything about things that need a run-up to fly. :cry: :pilotfly:

  13. As already mentioned, before release, during testing, time was no issue to mission 2, so we've been surprised by our arrogance. Sorry about that, but because it's our first campaign, these are some of the things we have to learn. :book: In the past 2 weeks, we already spend over 40 hours in changes and testing for Mission 2 The new version is ready inhouse and will be transmitted to ED in the coming days, so it will be hopefully released in early January. - landing spots for the AI slightly changed - The time limit for task two is now clearly pointed out (about 20 minutes) - Peter will end the task bevor WOLF 1 is gliding into the water, because of the time restrictions. - We also added many more voiceovers especially to task 2 - Broken Cargo will be pointed out with an additional text message, and if a transport mission is failed you get informed about that fact as well-remembered to the options remaining. For all they have still issues with WOLF 1 AI, refusing to land at TANGO BRAVO. After Task two you will be able to skip the Mission and continue with the mission 3 The standard Huey Cargo lightly flips over at slops by or after deliverance, so we changed it to a second container. All of the missions will be retested. And if necessary, changes will be made according to the feedback that we get from you and others.

  17. No problem. I totally understand your point. The bad visibility is the major point in that mission and it depends mainly on your airspeed when getting close to the LZ. Everything depends on the right way to and from the single tasks. Ther is a map in that Thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=249908 pointing out the flightpaths. Taking off from the LZ 1 you will be guided with headings and tips along the blue line. Passing very low over the vehicles. On the way to the west, there are two groups Transport vehicles to overfly and mark with smoke. When departing westbound, dont't miss the advice to turn south over the mountain ridge for the second part of the mission (Power Line control ). Just for my information. What is your preferred language? We think about different language support, so the documentation is already available in German.

  19. MISSION 5_2 Mission 5_2 As in Mission 5_1, the right flight path is essential for a save passage thro the first part of the mission. If you not aware of your position and the directions in accordance with the compass readings you cant follow the advice of your copilot and easily get lost.
  20. MISSION 5_1 MISSION 5_1 In that Mission, it is essential to choose the right flightpaths using terrain for cover as much as possible. It is also important not to overfly the battlefield because at low level you've been an easy target to enemy ground forces and on higher altitudes, you may get the attention of a KA-50 covering the incoming Mi-8 deploying troops on the mountain top. The added map shows The Landing Zones as well as the "save" flightpaths between them. Many of you struggling with LZ 3, the tree where you have to deploy troops. If you follow the advice of your copilot and chooses the right flightpath you can't miss it.

  22. Renko is right. Ther is a save passage passing over the first LZ. This is true for both directions. When flying combat missions it is essential to avoid actual battlefields on th ground. So you use always the same way passing to the west. During the howl mission you do not need to overfly ennemy troops in a suizide mission. Most of the time you need to stay below the altitude of LZ 3 where you get the troops Inc. manpads. In that way you also avoid the Mi-8 and ther safeguard K-50. Please refer to the knee board vor LZ information. Using the train is an essential part of that mission. The LZ 3 on top of the hill is the highest point you clib for. I comming and departing northwest.

  25. Bell UH-1 Tutorial 5 / first takeoff and landing Takeoff, landing, and hover a helicopter is a pretty complicated task, and on a PC, it is even harder than in real life. This is a step by step explanation, and fast progress will be guaranteed if you follow the advice given seriously. Watching Tutorial 1 to 4 in advance will also be a good idea.
