I believe this was discussed earlier and the reason is, that the arms and legs would obscure the view of buttons, if you're not using TIR. And, as opposed to real life, you can't move the arms and legs to gain view of the area you want to see.

I've never gotten around to buying Arma 2 because I had installed the demo and it wouldn't even show me the menuscreen. So I've been hesitant to buy the actual game.

I get an error when I run the setup.exe I downloaded from the HTTP 3 link: "....\DCS-A10C\ca-bundle.crt An error occurred to read the source file The source file is corrupted. Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation" Anyone have a solution? Or a working setup.exe they'd be willing to send to me?

There are 3 cables running out the back on the throtlle base: 1 USB connecter (to connect to the PC) 1cable to connect the stick with the throttle and one from the throttle base to the switch panel. That's it. You don't need to run out and buy an extra.

I just heard on the news, that they've recovered the black box and there was nothing wrong with the plane and everything points to the president being at fault (for pressuring the pilot). This is according to the radio transmissions (or intercom maybe?).

I followed the instructions you've given, as far as to running the .exe. When I dbl-click it I'm asked if I really want to uninstall the drivers. First I said yes, 'cos I figured I would just run it again and install them again, but nooo. No such luck. Does anyone know what the heck is wrong?? I'm near desperate. Please help :)

Yea, and you'll end up messing up your vision when you're THAT close to a screen. And who plays a sim with their head almost IN the screen? :)

I originally intended to show the topspeed, but got carried away with copying numbers, for that I appologise. I didn't look anywhere else for the figures, so I didn't crosscheck.

@Scrape: I don't know where the heck you got those figures from. In Brown Books' "American Top Guns" it is stated that the top speed of the F-111A is Mach 2.4 at altitude and 1.2 at sea level. Its maximum weapons load is 11.340kg

I suppose he wants to use it for rendering/animating. That's what I'd do with it, if I could find a decent model of it, that I wouldn't have to pay for ;)

Is anyone able AND willing to make one? I find it's a lot easier to learn the sequence when I am shown it and am allowed to press the buttons myself. My memory isn't what it used to be (carcrash, hit my head) and just watching the startup sequences, I don't remember 5 switches once the instructor has moved on. and playing it in Windows while running the game ..... really is no good for me. Is there any way this can be made? Matt? Anyone on the team..... Thanks SO very much in advance :)
