  1. I'm sorry to hear that Arthuro, I've had a HD go abeshit on me just when I needed it...takes a while to reinstall every damned thing and set it up just the way you had it.
  2. I hovered the first time I flew one. It wasn't a perfect hover, mind you. But I held it within the practise circle, about 5 meters in diameter. I soloed after 9 flying hours in the Schweizer 300CBi. I had flown gliders prior to attending helicopter training though, so I had the rudder/tail rotor foot coordination pretty much down. When we landed back at the school, my instructor told me had never seen anyone hover within the circle on their first try before.
  3. Well Dragon.... it's on MY desktop for sure :D
  4. It's working just fine now.....except for the part where it doesn't recognise my Cougar throttle.
  5. Never mind..... I didn't do the search for updated drivers when I was asked to :(
  6. Hi, just bought and installed BS. When I start the sim (or what should be a sim ;)) it starts a window and a bit of music, then after ~5 seconds, it crashes with this message: "This program failed to start, because d3dx9_38.dll was not found. The problem might be solved by reinstalling the program" In the titlebar of the pop it reads: Black Shark: Launcher.exe - the component wasn't found. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem? I remember reading something about, not launching the game using a launcher.exe (or something like that)...but I can't find that particular thread :( Please help.
  7. One would hope :)
  8. That sucks so bad Steven. Sounds almost exactly like what I went through with Flaming Cliffs back in the day.... with the exeption that I didn't know one could or had to deactivate (I don't know if one could with FC) and ended up having a useless game......I couldn't even use it as a papirweight, it's so light. Steen
  9. Is it at all possible to make this available for LOMAC 1.12? I don't have FC and will not buy it.
  10. You just have to wait 45secs before you're able to download for free.
  11. Man, that's a fantstic model. If you would like, I would love to render images/animations of it. I use Lightwave myself and mostly make aircraft renders/animations. And to echo what Shaggy said, it's an amazing model. How would you feel about exposing your wires?
  12. ARE there actual plans a sequel? I've searched the net for the title a few times a loong while ago, but didn't find anything. If you have any information regarding a sequel, please share :pilotfly:
  13. The trim should be used to remove any forces that takes the stick away from it's neutral position. It's really taxing to fly for a long time with a stick out of trim. And after a while you start feeling sore in your muscles from straining to keep the stick neutralized. What the trim does, is remove any force that is trying to move the stick away from it neutral position, so you don't have to hold it forward/backward/to the side continuously. I don't remember how it affects the blade's pitch mechanism anymore, as it's been 5 years since I flew, but it's certainly electrical on a Schweizer 269CBi.
  14. @Luckybob9: I'm curious..... Do they write that stuff in the manual? I can't look, 'cos I threw the game all the hell out a few months ago, because I got pissed, when I wasn't allowed to play my LEGALLY PURCHASED game. I never intend to install the game again. I'll wait for Fighter Ops. I know it'll likely be years, but I don't care. Rather that than going bald and mute from pulling out my hair and shouting at the screen too much.
  15. DOF = Depth Of Field In TIR it means you're able to zoom/look closer at your instruments by moving your head closer to the TIR sensor.
  16. That you can't shoot a person with a .50cal is just Army regulations. You can fire at a weapon in position (Fx. two infantrymen firing an LMG from the prone) though, because that is thought to be a bigger threat than a rifleman running around with his 5.56 rifle. [EDIT] Gaaarrgh... I didn't realise I wasn't on the last page of the thread....so I didn't quote who I was replying to [/EDIT]
  17. Midwestern Jutland, Denmark
  18. Be sure you run the game FROM the ModMan interface. Nothing will be applied if you run the LOMAC.exe instead.
  19. In a carcrash, for instance, and depending on the speed, you can be exposed to quite a bit more than 15g. Of course the exposure is a second versus 9+ seconds in a fighter. I was a passanger in a carcrash in New Zealand 4Ѕ years ago. And I don't know how many g's was excerted on me, but I was thrown through the seatbelt (japanese P.O.S............ NEVER buy their junk. It's cheap for a reason!!) and was smashed against the windshield.
