  5. SEAFIRE MOD (Fully functional TAKEOFF and LANDING) I made some additions to the SpitfireLFMkIX lua file and PRESTO --- we now have a fully operational SEAFIRE. I have only tested this with the HMS Victorious Mod: MOD HSM-VICTORIOUS Eric and Patrick Version for Normandie https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3078917/?sphrase_id=16485533 ***You need to be a little ‘creative’ in getting past the wires on takeoff. They will grab you (but they let you go) about 3 or 4 times. Once you get clear though its pretty easy to get enough speed in the Spit to get off the deck. And for those of us who struggle to land the Spit on an airfield...just wait until you get a load of this! Lol. It takes some practice, but it can be done. All the wires appear to work! *** I hope you all enjoy this one---it was actually really simple to modify. It adds some great range and mission options to this wonderful bird! INSTALLATION: Simply replace the SpitfireLFMkIX lua file with the one I uploaded. (Choose correct drive, mine is F:\) F:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\CoreMods\WWII Units\SpitfireLFMkIX SpitfireLFMkIX SEAFIRE MOD.zip
  6. I am hoping that a new version of this MOD can be uploaded soon (2.5+). The Spitfire is such a fantastic plane---shame that it takes on the worst graphics hits!
  7. I am. I just went out and bought a stand alone mic. Its working fine now. But I would have really liked to just have used the Rift.
  8. Well, I have tried just about everything--but maybe I am still missing something. My issue is: I can launch VA and it will run---for about 2 minutes then it just stops working (the mic signal is gone) It runs fine until I boot up the Oculus. Oculus mic is only one I am using---liek I said---it WORKS but then its DOES NOT WORK. lol. I would love some help...
  9. I tried using the Mod---The F-86 no longer shown up in my planes inventory once I use it though. Maybe a bug with all the updating lately... JSGME would be great for sure!

  12. Just curious if there has been any update on this issue---I can't imagine all the VR players are being silent on this---its nearly unplayable in VR You have to have some on at least due to low resolution. I'm trying to do WWII units in 2.0---its a mess!!!

I am running i7 4790, 16GRAM, GTX 980 Ti But I think I resolved the issue----I guess I have finally found the limits of what my PC can handle. lol I play in VR but I cut all the planes and ground units in half and now it runs smoothly again---guess I was getting carried away--- But the other missions I made had quite a bit going on too---there was definitely more lag with the Dora--I was wondering if there was some issues with it or maybe too much cockpit animation---just curious.

I am hoping to get some insight on why when I make missions in mission editor with the Dora I am getting massive frame rate issues towards the end of the mission---Not having this problem with other planes and there is not excessive ground or air units---it just starts getting clogged up. I play in VR (CV1) but again---its just odd that its only happening with this plane.
  15. My labels in NTTR are spot on---I am dreading an update though because that is when things went to shit on 1.5. Before the labels would change when I changed my pixel settings (VR)---now, no matter what everything is BIG
  16. The mod is good---but its the overall size that needs to be fixed. It might be an * but its a GIANT *
  17. I am able to refuel at friendly airbases but not rearm -- anyone had any luck with this. I have been playing the "Spitfire Pilot" user mission by 'reflected' - its been a lot of fun! but I needed to reload and couldn't do it.
  18. I am also playing in VR and the text is huge. It works fine in 2.0 for me---And that originally happened for me when I changed the pixel density to 1.5. In DCS 1.5 no matter what I do with the pixels the text/font is ginormous. Very hard to play
  19. I am running pixel density at 1.5 in both 1.5 and 2.0 When the last big update happened to 1.5 the labels got HUGE. They are great in 2.0 and easy to read. It seems like a resolution issue but just letting you guys know. thx!:pilotfly:
  20. I really appreciate the feedback everyone! These are probably some strange numbers I ended up with here but they seem to have leveled the plane out (for the time being unless DCS changes the FM) I am using a Logitech Extreme 3DPro Pitch / Roll: Deadzone:35/15 Sat X: 100 Sat Y: 100 Curvature: 35/35 Rudder: Deadzone:0 Sat X: 100 Sat Y: 100 Curvature: 8 Throttle: Deadzone:0 Sat X: 100 Sat Y: 100 Curvature: 0
  21. I seem to have my most successful landing while not using the flaps---I am sure this is wrong but, currently that is what is working best for me. I set the pitch trim a few notches up and let it glide in. no worries.
  22. Spit is amazing as promised---but in VR its a real headache at the moment. The plane is bouncing around a lot for me at all altitudes and speeds and I can't seem to get the right balance with the curves. I am aware that this sim model is very sensitive and not for the faint of heart---but I am hoping there is a way to settle this thing down so I can actually enjoy it. running out of aspirin! :helpsmilie:

  24. I am also having the issue---in VR. And the latest update changed the text resolution on labels (made them giant sized)
  25. /\ I think it will be mine too in about a week! I finally got the 109 module--I had the other WW2 modules. I have to say I wanted to like the 109---I had been watching a lot of documentaries that I haven't seen in years and the late model 109 (The K-4 in this sim) was second to none and would have been a real problem had the Germans not run out of good pilots. That being said...The 190 D-9 is a freaking battlestation---It really takes a while to learn how to dogfight in it (the fuel issue is a must to stay alive) but once I got the hang of it I can do pretty well with it. I have the B-17 mods and the He-111 (the Mustang is great too----but not like the 190. imho) THe gunners are crazy accurate but its still fun to come out of a dive or head on and lead with those big guns on the 190 and shred a bomber formation. I think the Spitfire is going to be crazy fun too---can't wait!
