Grease is important protection measure. I'm working with underwater equipment, all manufactures recommending to put some silicone (or similar) grease on all plugs.

Had this problem for a while, some buttons and switches were activating randomly by themselves. Very annoying. Had googled it, found out that I was not the only one with such problem, but it seems that noone had any solid solution. There was new firmware that should fix the problem, but it didn't helped in my case. Once again, google search showed that I wasn't alone. People were reporting improvements, but no permanent solution. So, when I finally solved this and make my MCG working PERFECTLY, I decided to create this tread. Maybe it will help someone else. So, what I did? Two simple things. 1. I disassembled whole system (I have an extension), cleaned all contacts, put some Molycote grease on them (any silicone grease will do) and carefully assembled it back, making sure that there are good contacts everywhere. 2. I put my Gunfighter on powered USB hub connected to a fast (red) USB port. That it! I don't know what step had worked, or they both, but since then, I didn't had a single glitch (unwanted button activation) in almost a month of use.

Много было высказано по поводу количества осей, с лейтмотивом "осей много не бывает". Бывает, для современной авиации обвешивать троттл осями смысла ноль, больше 3-4 осей (включая сам двойной троттл) плюс аналоговая хатка - на современном самолёте просто не придумать как использовать. Но если кому надо, пусть будут, главное о чём хотел написать не это. Вызывает обеспокоенность то, что на основании будет. Чем вылелялся из общего ряда игровых устройтсв Warthog'ский троттл? Тем что взял эргономику с реального самолёта. В чём эта разница выразилась? Для меня, что на основании всего две кнопки, остальное тумблеры с разным количеством позиций. Тумблеры может не всегда просто настроить, но в итоге для симуляции летательного аппарата они на голову выше кнопок (не зря и в настоящих самолётах тумблеры превалируют над кнопками). Так что хотелось бы пожелание высказать - не забывайте о тумблерах в угоду кнопкам, как на всех игровых девайсах. Особенно это важно для тех, кто в VR летает, как я. Неднократно убеждался, что для манипуляций "в слепую" тумблер на основнии (не самой ручке, там другие принципы) кроет любую кнопку как бык овцу. Ну, и на самой ручке, если не будет трёхпозиционного тумблера под мизинец как на троттле от А10 (там он внешним освещением заведует), то для меня это будет поводом опечалиться.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't on main website in the news about updated A10C. I'm not even aware that ED have news letters, nor I wish to get any more messages in my mailbox.

They had shown pictures somewhere? Never saw one. ED communications are horrible, why didn't they just did it in the news section on the main website.

In best case scenario it could be a long promised cockpit updates for A10C or/and Ka-50.

What an excellent idea! :thumbup:

I use pinky switch on throttle (external lights on A10). Easy to turn on/off, and zoom stays on without the need to hold something. Great for guns/rockets/CCIP runs.

Does it mean that guns are not COMPLETE offtopic? :lol:

I was in Paris during this New Year. I can tell, you guys have a very impressive riot gear! Very cool, and looks like it is pointless to try to fight you hand to hand. So, I can imagine that you are able to neutralize many of threats without firing a shot.

I have a Walther PPS in .40 S&W to carry. But with time, I'm more and more often thinking of something even smaller for this task. Yep, in 9x17 :lol:

Glocks, Sigs... Glock was my first handgun, and I still own it. So, it kind of have a special place in my heart. But to be realistic, when you start to understand how to shoot, this is a most logical choice :smartass:

To make it short - yes, Pimax works with only one base station and no controller.s The only trick you need to know installing, is to have base station in B mode. And keep HMD further away (about 2 meters) from it during initialization. After initialization, you can be where ever you like.

Also just finished a campaign, nice job! But I have to know what happened to Berger! So, I bought Red Flag campaign too immediately :megalol:

На ночных миссиях в VR какие то баги наземного освещения: уличное освещение в населённых пунктах то есть, то нет, то мерцает. Похожим образом глючит посадочная лампа. При VR zoom всё нормально. Pimax5k+, Mirage2000C если это важно.

Just tried to start the campaign, can't get plane to taxi. Even on full power with afterburners plane stays stationary. On external view, there are braking pads under both wheels. When I started DCS today, it had an update. I'm using Open Beta.

FOV and resolution is a personal preference, but for me, from now on there is absolutely no substitution for FOV in flight sims. I always had troubles in Rift to keep my eyes on something. My neck is not flexible enough (actually, it is not me, it human anatomy :D), for horizontal I had to turn in a chair with myself (still was not enough), for vertical there was no solution at all. After that nightmare, it is such a joy to do the same stuff in Pimax! I don't need to be an owl anymore. And resolution... I used to forgot about resolution after few minutes even with Rift. Of course, it is even more so with Pimax.
