Thanks Winston! I'm an amateur mission maker (this is my second mission) so any feedback is greatly appreciated. -
Hot Chocolate Now Available for the BF 109 K-4
Datek replied to Datek's topic in User Created Missions General
Thanks! It's only a single mission right now, but I may expand upon it in the future. I did make a P-51D version https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2098242/ and a FW 190 version https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2099307/. -
Hot Chocolate Now Available for the P-51D Operation Hot Chocolate You are a civilian pilot contracted by the CIA. Normally they have you flying mysterious cargo around in old prop driven cargo planes, but today they have a special mission for you. A WW2 era American fighter was recently confiscated from a local crime lord who was a WW2 buff and collector. We need it transferred to our team stationed at Kutaisi airfield. It has a couple bombs attached to it and we don't have a qualified crew here to remove it, or an EOD team to dispose of them, so they are going along for the ride with you. Fly the confiscated P-51D and the bombs from Vaziani airfield to Kutaisi airfield. Follow any additional instructions from your handler. Your call sign is Darkwing. Your handlers call sign is Bullwinkle. Flight speed 500 kph (300mph), Altitude 1000 meters (3000ft), or pilot's discretion. Radio Freq: 1-flight, 2-mission, 3-Vaziani ATC, 4-Kutaisi ATC. Total mission time approx 45 min-1 hour. Fully voiced. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2098242/ *Installation instructions: Download and place the file in C:/users/(username)/Saved Games/DCS/Missions Mission discussion thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=174581

Operation Hot Chocolate Situation: You are a civilian pilot contracted by the CIA. Normally they have you flying mysterious cargo around in old prop driven cargo planes, but today they have a special mission for you. A WW2 era German fighter was recently confiscated from a local crime lord who was a WW2 buff and collector. We need it transferred to our team stationed at Kutaisi airfield. It has a 250kg bomb attached to it and we don't have a qualified crew here to remove it, or an EOD team to dispose of it, so that's going along for the ride with you. Mission: Fly the confiscated BF 109 K-4 and the bomb from Vaziani airfield to Kutaisi airfield. Follow any additional instructions from your handler. Your call sign is Darkwing. Your handlers call sign is Bullwinkle. Flight speed 500 kph, Altitude 1000 meters, or pilot’s discretion. Radio Freq: 1-flight, 2-mission, 3-Vaziani ATC, 4-Kutaisi ATC. Huge difference- maybe Ralfi has some modified guns? Gun sounds definitley need some work. I don't have the F-5 yet, but the machine gun sounds on most/all of the planes are sad.
-
Right I was initially thinking that, but if I am having 'message to group' text come up for all the radio chatter, I still need to space that out with flags and timers.
-
Flags and timers, got it, thank you Sabre-TLA.
-
I have figured out trigger, message to group, sound to group, etc. How do I have a series of messages and replys play in a sequence with the mission editor? Example: "one this is two, I'm hungry over" "Two this is one, cheeseburgers inbound over" "roger that!"

DCS A-10C SP Campaign - Future DLC Announcement
Datek replied to Ranger79's topic in A-10C Operation Piercing Fury Campaign
Congrats Ranger79! This looks like an awesome campaign. I'm really looking forward to flying it. -
I'm interested in anything and everything for the Mig-21.
-
Ideally the installer would have a check box for each aircraft and the user could install it according to which modules they own and want the campaign for.
-
Yes all the missions seem really well done. And a huge thanks for adding the F10 option to advance to the next mission! All campaigns should have that.
-
I'm so glad this is out! I enjoy both the Mig-15 and the sabre and we really needed a good campaign. Thanks again for making it Apache.
-
Yea, you can't make jokes here. I did it when I first joined and got immediately scolded by a mod, and negative rep from Wags which is close to 200 points. So I deleted that post and apologized, and someone game me more negative rep for that! I had a big red rep scar for quite a while. Keep it serious.

Is that the yellow brick road I see? Should we follow it?

Who has recieved baackseat L-39C Instruction?
Datek replied to viperdogsnake's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
I let my wife ride in the back and was very careful not to metion the hood because I knew what would happen. Luckily she didn't notice the control knob for it. All was well for a while until she figured how to shut off the engine. She ejected soon after and left me plumeting to my doom since I don't know how to restart in mid air and my ejections seat wouldn't fire. DCS can be just like real life sometimes. -
I can help you with US/NATO call for fire (Artillery, mortars, etc.). I'm not familiar with the specific format for calling in a helo strike but I imagine it would be similar if not identical.

The Meatboy voice is a bit jarring when you first hear because you're not expecting it, but then it grows on you. I really like it. I'll fly with Meatboy anytime.
-
This is different because the product is already finished and ready to be released. Most/all kickstarter projects are 'we will make this if you give us money' type things. I would think that Starway will release this at some point whether the goal is made or not. He just is making sure he gets paid, which is understandable given the history of this project. Anyway, also donated, sending love now.
-
From the origional post it seems Apache sent the finished campaign to ED the first week of April and we have been waiting for them to release it ever since. Perhaps there is a problem or issue with that, but we don't know, which is why I was asking what is taking so long.
-
Yes way overdue! Why is this taking months to release?

Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway
Datek replied to Starway's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
How much is ED donating? They created this situation by trying to make a texture pack into a DLC. I still think they should have just bought this from Starway and made it part of the game months (or however long its been) ago. DCS needs it badly. -
