Definitely made it harder considering you can’t put any negative Gs on the Huey Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I would love that! That’s the aircraft I learned to fly on and the 58 was probably the most fun I’ve ever had in a helicopter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Turning off street lights
Eagle_Rising replied to Eagle_Rising's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
He said in real life, you in fact can not adjust brightness in real life. You can also turn on runway lighting at uncontrolled airports via the CTAF radio and they will turn off after a period of time. -

Turning off street lights

no you can't adjust the intensity they are autogated so they adjust based off of ambient light. They may be able to be adjusted but not on the user level. -

really recommend anything from the U.S. Army fm 3-04 but more specifically the .4 (formally the .203 https://rdl.train.army.mil/catalog-ws/view/100.ATSC/7FA34C4E-7652-4F32-83C5-A3EA462BE544-1482412542203/tc3_04.4.pdf It contains everything from aerodynamics to basic combat maneuvers. This is pretty much every army aviators bible so I hope it helps. -
OP New Vegas - First single player mission.
Eagle_Rising replied to Eagle_Rising's topic in User Created Missions General
Thanks for the heads the link should be fixed now -
Hello everyone I am relatively new to mission building and just finished my first single player mission that I converted from a Co-op mission I had just finished. I have submitted it to the mission builder contest and would like some people to test it and give me some feedback. OPERATION NEW VEGAS The country of Ariana has become increasingly unstable in the past year, the dictator Bashar Musharraf held a democratic election which he then rigged to ensure that he would remain in control. The general populace have become unsettled with this and are on the brink of rebellion. The surrounding countries are worried that Bashar may use his massive military force to halt any rebellion. Any attempt for diplomatic relations has failed and according to recent satellite imagery he has started amassing forces along the border of Atropia. A coalition force has been created to deliver a preemptive strike and stop any further aggression from Bashar. Some of the features include The ability to select your role as either a Gazelle pilot or as a Huey CASEVAC pilot. A working Atis radio function Dynamic difficulty (depending on if you get detected or take too long) A custom kneeboard modeled modeled off of real world mission packets and an in depth mission brief I'm still having trouble downloading the files so here is a link to them https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B91t4OirdMAmMHRPenB5ellhYkE __________________

The rules specifically said no WWII aircraft but there are always helicopters if you don't want to use jets

It is a realistic representation of a coordinated attack behind enemy lines. Some of the features include The ability to select your role as either a Gazelle pilot or as a Huey CASEVAC pilot. so where is the appropriate place to post and discuss our missions?
-
Ok I figured out how to do it via the cockpit argument but does anyone know if it can be used in multiplayer
-
I'm trying to make a mission where your altitude is restricted but instead of it being based off of MSL I would like AGL. On the gazelle I was able to use cockpit within parameters Radar_Alt but the same thing doesn't work in the Huey. Anyone have any idea

Does anyone know of anyway to turn all of the city's lights off through a script or mod of any sort. Trying to fly NVGs around Vegas isn't much fun.

Tacca's NVG mod for 2.5+
Eagle_Rising replied to tacca's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I'll be honest I tried it lefuneste01 it worked well it just wasn't for me I thought that if I actually tried to fly with that much zoom that I would be sick but maybe I just didn't spend enough time setting it up. -
Tacca's NVG mod for 2.5+
Eagle_Rising replied to tacca's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Awesome Mod!! I also have the CV1 and after some adjusting I got it to look right. I've gotten to use anvis on multiple occasions and one thing is in the real aircraft the cockpit would be blurred out when looking through the NVGs. I wonder if there is any way to implement that. Also a HUD would be nice. -
So I made a video based off the lessons I have been giving on BSD from my own personal flight experience. I was trying to make it somewhat condensed (but that didn't happen) but I managed to cover a lot. Some of the topics covered include hovering, Effective translational lift, VRS, and autorotations ${1} I really hope this helps people who are just starting out in helicopters once you get past the frustration it is a lot of fun I assure you. If you have any questions feel free to ask I will do my best to respond timely. Having trouble embedding the video so here is the link ?t=5s

Just registered looking forward to flying with you guys

So I am trying to get back into the Black Shark and wouldn't mind flying with others. I am also pretty proficient in the Huey not so much for the Gazelle or the Hip but as long as it has rotors I can probably fly it.:smilewink:
