I don't recall having problems due to the lockable tail wheel, because you can with brakes use the prop wash to "center" it and trying with external camera to confirm its properly centered. I feel the wings dip down so easily with small turns, while the K4 is much more gentle in that regard. It's not a matter of over-braking or giving too much throttle, i taxi almost on idle and try to give gentle brake (analog) inputs. I still don't manage to takeoff using the provided checklist. What has helped me is releasing brakes after i am at around 2500rpm and then dancing a bit, correcting just a moment because the plane will try to drop a wing and soon enough it's on the air. I can't predict when to give the rudder inputs to have a gentle and smooth takeoff as I have seen on some videos. I guess it needs more dancing on the pedals, but since I have tried the K4 that had some fame of being a pain to takeoff I was able to do it just following the general consensus while on the Spitfire i can't nail down a procedure that will work 100% of the times. And when it works, it's not pretty.

How to avoid seizing the engine

Thanks for the tips -
The tail wheel is free so when stop while turning you have to consider this

How to avoid seizing the engine

The problem in dogfight is tunnel vision. Yeah. Loss of situational awareness and forgetting to keep an eye on some vital stuff. -
Fighting AI is the only time i use labels. I hate labels, i dread them. But if the Ai has infinite situational awareness, energy and simplified engine model and wrecks me with one shoot, well, i am not that masochistic. I have not had any problems besides seizing the engine on stall. The Spitty flies like a dream!

I am trying to learn to be gentle with the beautiful Merlin 66 :joystick: So far i try to keep it at around 2600-2800 rpm only going full rpm for takeoff. Also, I try to not go above 12 psi on the boost. When i was dogfighting AI and trying to play their climbing game i have had killed my engine a couple of times. Seems that if you stall, even if you idle the engine, chances are that the engine quits even if it is just for a short amount of time. Anything else? Guidelines?

It's unavailable and we have to suck it up because there will not be any further explanation, and RAZBAM is of course not to be blamed because they are the best company at communication.

I think he is not saying that forces, gravity, etc aren't meaningful in general. He is saying that for the very specific case of ground looping, due to the nature of the force being basically a pendulum you can't really afford to wait until you feel the lateral deviation to apply input or you will be late to the party, so you will have to predict when to do it. Not in any other case in general. I am not a pilot, but it's the same thing when you drive a car and you get into a simulator, you massively overreact because you lack all the physics. Of course, visual cues are a HUGE thing we lack unless you run VR.

There was already a thread on this https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=178037&page=1

Reading this makes me feel better because i have had a super hard time taking it off because of the lack of visual inputs for when putting rudder, etc. It was a nightmare. Groundlooping all over the place. I crashed more than 100 but still to this day i can't do it with Wags method. It wobbles all over the place because i don't know how to dance on the pedals. It's such a challenge, but i have managed to at least get 80% of the times in the air without crashing. Not pretty takeoffs, though. I guess time, practice, theory and muscle memory will help. I also find it really hard to handle on the ground. I haven't started to try landings because i usually do after i have nailed the takeoff procedure, which i haven't. I will try to use brakes as I roll. I guess experience is important, but I am not an expert on warbirds so I don't know how to handle.

I noticed that too i am using the cockpit model because its way faster for takeoff etc.

Thanks for quick fix

Bye F-5 on multiplayer servers for a week then? Can't believe this.

There is no reason to not install the release version and only have the alpha. They update on different weeks also, most of the times.
