  1. Yes, you guys have the 21, we have the F5. This point is even for both teams. Blue lacks GCI just as much as Red does and we have people that fly the F5 and just fly in and die just like you have the 21. On the fact of the F4 vs 29... First I don't understand why Blue has a jet that was created in a totally separate era from the 29. Second, why in the world do the F4's fail to even take off half of the time? A lot of the time they don't even leave the tarmac, they just sit on the ramp short of runway. The major problem a lot of Blue pilots have with the A10C is that they don't really know how to fly it well. People fly into an AO, find 1 target with the TGP, and then engage it without a full knowledge of what else lies in the AO and what threats will be faced. Next issue is that the majority of Reds aerodromes do not have terrain to get cover behind. Tell me what terrain I can use for masking for Krasnador C and P, Maykop, Vody, Mozdok, Beslan, and Nelchic? Yes, I know Nelchic and Beslan are kind of close to the mountains, but they are way too far away to use for terrain masking. By the time most people are in weapons range they are being engaged by SA8s. Not everyone has the ability to fly the A10C at 50ft and lower off the ground to avoid radar SAMs. We can dance around this topic all day, but fact of the matter that I think people are continually trying to bring up is that the KA50 can fly with really no problem under the radar of radar SAMs. On top of that it has enough ordnance to blow up an airfield on its own and it can call it bombers! Yes, the KA50 pilots that I see like Reaper have a lot of skill, but what people are upset about is that the KA50 is being compared to the Gazelle and the A10C. If I engage an airfield with the A10C I am at risk to fighters. Do you know how hard it is to find a KA50 with jet even with GCI and no electro optical? There is a reason why Red typically sees 3-4 F15s looking for a KA50. You can't find them. Sometimes you can get lucky and get a radar lock in flood mode, but most of the time we have to see them visually. Now, saying all of this, I don't think there is anything wrong with the KA50 in its present condition. I think it takes a lot of skill. I think it takes a lot of skill to fly and use correctly. However, people comparing it to the A10C are not doing themselves any favors. These are 2 completely different air frames. One of them can be seen by enemy fighters from a long way off and the other is nearly impossible to find.
  2. It is disturbing to see this many people on the server taking advantage of the bug in the m2000. However, what you see can happen with any air frame and there are a lot of accounts of this happening even in blueflag with the a10, 29, 15, 27, really all of them. This can happen to player aircraft through dsync and does not mean that anything is wrong. Most of the time you see the aircraft different than what the player flying it sees.
  3. Bolek, no worries about having trouble. Again, its about people more overstating themselves than learning.
  4. I don't think really anyone is made about losing. Its about the experience. I don't care if we lose something or lose the entire campaign. Its all about the experience and going through it. Yes people complain, but again thats about how the round is going. I have not seen 1 person post about how they are upset about how they are losing. People are upset about the experience they are having on the server.
  5. I don't think there is anyone that is upset about new players in Blue Flag. What irks people is when players, new or old, don't communicate with the rest of the team and take up valuable assets. The other thing that I think pushes people the wrong way is when people overstate their abilities and have the team trust them to do a task that they do not have the abilities to finish. I understand that people need to fail to learn so don't take the above the wrong way. Being on a team is all about communication and allowing others to fill your shortfalls.
  6. Just so everyone is aware the update that was released today was the wrong one. Zeus released this this morning after the patch was released. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2866283&postcount=3010
  7. Agreed. This is when I most successful stuff happens too.
  8. We still have that issue on blue even though we have numbers. Ill ask for a heli and half the time no one will do it when Im closing something even though we have a ton of people on and 7 people in UH1s. I have no idea what some people do when they pick CAS or helis. They just take off and are never seen or heard from again. So, even though we may have someone that would, he can't because all the slots are taken and the person in the slots will not respond to comms or if they do won't team play and does what they want. I feel your pain on everything. Seems like a smaller guerrilla force is much more effective then the republic of china's army.
  9. Let me try and put this a different way for you, BodyOrgan. Yes, the communication sucks, but that is an issue that I have seen on both sides, red and blue. However, what is not an issue on red, to my understanding, is the player numbers. The reason this is an issue is not because of the communication etc, but because you have people taking air frames that are not on comms and want to do whatever the f they want with them. There were several times yesterday when I was on that we could have taken things much more efficiently, but because people had taken all of the helis out of a certain area, the helis that were actually in on taking things instead of just flying from close had to fly almost 100nm. Furthermore, we have a serious issue with people wanting to fly the A10C or UH1 that have no business trying to do what they are trying to do. Same can be said for CAP fighters, but at least they are in a fighter. I have asked several times if people want training or help with certain things, but a lot of people think they are god as a pilot and simply over extend their abilities, waste a slot, waste an air frame, fly up to Glen or Bes, spawn the AI, and then die and leave the people on comms that actually listen, to pick the pieces up. The problem with blue is blue continues to shoot itself in the foot. What I see a lot of the time is that new pilots join blue. We have had several over the past day. Yes, its GREAT that we have new pilots, but a lot of these new pilots are new to DCS as well and Buddyspike is a competitive environment. This as with the above, gives the image that blue has more players, and in reality we do, but a lot of those players fail in comparison to their red counterparts. Yes, I know red has new players etc, but I don't think you quite grasp the numbers we are talking about. Also, if you'll notice, blue, just like red with close bases, only ever really gets Beslan because its the closest. The only time we took most of PAC 3 was when no red was on and we ended up coming to a halt because cap could not deal with the AI... Yes, Im venting right now. Yes, Im frustrated just like red with the numbers in a different way for different reasons. You may disagree with me, and that's fine, but multiple people saying the same thing usually means a consensus. So you can continue to say that what we are saying is wrong, but it seems like a lot of people are on the same page.
  10. Quick question for the admins that I think needs to be addresses for red and blue. Why, when you takeover and airfield, in this case Beslan, does it start closed on the next restart even if it has already repaired before the restart occurs? Is this a feature or a bug?
  11. I guess I misunderstood. I can support that idea.
  12. And how to propose doing this when each GCI only has 3 freqs and 10 airfields. Thats 3-4 GCIs just for airfields not including your actual one or ones in the field. Yes, its cool, but its unrealistic in our current environment. Most people want to fly and not GCI.
  13. Thats a link directly from Buddyspikes webpage for the rhcloud web client. There is a download link at the top of the page.
  14. Well, Blue for and Red did it accidentally a few weeks ago after the AGM H's were removed. I think we just need to get some people together and chitchat. We all love DCS and we all love this server. I know everyone wants it to be the best it can and I know everyone, well at least some, want to have a better understanding about the other sides positions with balance etc.\ I actually think having a chat like this would be good for not just the Buddyspike servers, but also for DCS as a whole.
  15. I think the best headway we made was when we all talked about it over comms. Anybody down for a weekly powow? :)
  16. https://dl.orangedox.com/wPjUJexWE8KQ0To1y2/install_op_BLUE_FLAG.exe
  17. I never updated it. I just downloaded it from rhcloud and installed it. Are you talking about an update link in the application? If you are, just uninstall and reinstall the updated version.
  18. Im a BLUE player and Im starting with you and disagreeing with you....
  19. It doesn't matter if the Su25 can take an airfield alone. I actually took an airfield alone last night, 2 in fact.... The A10C can do it fast and more effectively then a Su25 can. Think what you want, but the A10C is the better weapons platform because of the TGP and mark points. Going on your point on the F15. I would bet you are not flying to the strengths of the 15 and flying into right where the Su27 wants you low and in a turn fight. This is what people commonly do. They fly everything the same and then complain that something is better then what they are flying. Players need to be flying each frame to its benefits instead of flying everything like a go kart. I guarantee people with agree with me on this as I have set it before in this very threat.
  20. While I agree with Blue having most of the fotter, I think some of the things you listed below are a bit over the top. Reds missiles are just as messed up. Yes they don't have the issues that the magics have, but they have tracking issues just like Blue. Also, the comment about the A10 is BS. I can destroy a farp way faster in an A10 then they can in a Su25. People that say the A10 is not capable don't know how to fly it.
  21. Are you ever in comms? Most guys reside there during play on TS or SR. If you need any help with the A10C feel free to ask.
  22. Thats how it is currently setup. The lives for the transports helis and the attack aircraft are separate. Also, atm imo, there are way too many strikers and transports as opposed to fighters on blue. Wish we had more CAP players. :) Lastly, you can't say, "There needs to be less fighters because Im having a hard time in my A10." If you're having a hard time maybe you need to coordinate with some CAP flights or train on dog fighting with fighters. Buddyspike is not an easy server and does not set CAP and CAS areas apart like 104th.
  23. Just because they have never done it in the past does not mean they can't start doing it. People saying, get used to it, its how its always been is dumb. They change things in the servers for game play. Why not change how those changes are communicated as well? I never said Blue and Red were even. Im simply going after the bias that red never has a decent number more players then blue. Yes, I know the teams are imbalanced. That is a result of the available airframes on each team. There is a reason blue has an issue with half the team wanting to fly A10s and the other half wanting to fly UH1s. Hell last night there was a point when there were 15 blue and not one person was in cap. Everyone was in A10s and UH1s.
  24. I really, honestly, don't have a problem with it being in. What I am starting to have an issue with is things getting changed with no explanation. I really wish the Buddyspike team would start using a change log so that all of us users can see what was changed and why.
  25. My question with this whole argument on choppers being able to call in the bombers is this; why can they do it to begin with? Yes I get that they can do it in real life, but the issue, both with the Gazelle and the KA50 is that they can just sit in a spot and do it repeatedly without having to fly back to base. The hawk and the l39 I believe were much more balanced. Yes, you could call in intel when you were still in flight, but you have limited flight time and while you fly you are a target. IMHO, having the intel gathering be on the helos makes the hawk and l39 kind of useless. Why not give the gazelle back its troops and call it good like its been in the past rounds? Lastly, reaper, I think the reason some people are miffed about this is because the ka50 being able to call in bombers was never tested in the testing rounds to blue knowledge and was just added to the main rounds.
