  1. There is a dynamic weather option in weather tab but tbh I expect a new dynamic weather system compatible with new cloud, rain and fog system added in the future. current system is very old and nobody uses it.
  2. Before my other tests, I had made wind from 360 and the screen showed that same result which was correct. Then I changed it to different value as 298, wind bearing became nonsense. Crosswind speed is presented relative to BRC, I agree. I couldn't find any other way than turning ship 90 right-left try to catch 0-(-2) crosswind speed with along wind speed higher than ship's speed If I don't know winds direction in mission editor or whether it is changed during mission. If we know it's easy take reciprocal add 9 degree. But when we don't know or there is a dynamic changing weather, ship must show us, right? and it shows wrong value now that's I am trying to report.
  3. No crosswind on the deck according to lso screen. deck is 166 degree magnetic. aircraft is on course 166. still crabbing left.
  4. what if we don't know the wind direction.yesterday I joined my friends' multiplayer mission and carrier was stationary. I decided to move it at 30kts into the wind. I used that wind course.turned ship to that direction and of course crosswind was still there. that's why I opened this topic. If the mission had dynamic weather and changing wind speed-direction, what would we do? Sometimes, we plan carrier group to go away from hostile territory without considering wind direction. Then, when the landing event time comes, we have to turn ship into the wind. There must be a way to do that I looked it up but couldn't find anything useful. And there is no information about airboss deck in the supercarrier manual.
  5. +9 degree is a constant value that should be added on the wind direction, in my case, wind from 298 true so 298+9=307 should be ship's true course to have zero crosswind on the deck. So, what is 242 for? it's nonsense .242+9=251 is not going to work either for zero crosswind. I made another track. Turned the ship to 307 true. crosswind became -2 kts. If I turned it to 298, it would be zero. that crosswind value is miscalculated also. It considers ship's true heading, ignores 9 degree angled deck. Or we should ignore that -2 kts crosswind and stay that course. idk tbh. Ship's course showed on the screen is true course btw. As you can see on the info bar at the bottom. my questions are "what's that wind course?" "how is it calculated on the screen?", "Is it bugged and miscalculated?" "how am I suppose to know what course I should turn the ship to have zero crosswind on landing area?" "Is that crosswind value calculated by ship's true course or angled deck true course?" "If by angled deck's course, isn't that also bugged and miscalculated?" I made the ship stationary to test that ARCTAN effect it still shows 242. airboss wind1 .trk
  6. In this mission, wind blows to 118. So, on airboss screen it should be 118 or 298(idk which one is used irl, probably "from 298"). However, the screen shows 242. When I turned the ship to 242, crosswind wasn't 0. airboss wind .trk
  7. I believe that they did test nothing before the patch. Ed should rollback dtc updates. We were happy with our 3rd party dcs dtc. And now module unusable against threats. We don't have to figure these nonsense basic bugs out. I really lost interest in dcs. Haven't played since first broken patch. Uninstalled after second broken patch. Lol.
  8. bypass should drop two chaff when cmd forward is pressed, two flare when cmd aft is pressed. there shouldn't be a dtc profile for it. man 6 profile is for dispense button(big red), man 5 is for cmd forward when manual mode is selected. cmd aft is for which mode is selected via snulltep (Man 1-4)
  9. I noticed this too. It changes on srs layout but still displayed as fm on ufc. Also, dtc guard channel enable option doesn't work.
  10. I use cmds as Semi Auto with manual mode 1 selected. so that I can use cmd forward for countering radar guided missiles. System chooses a chaff only auto mode for me. cmd aft would be manual 1 -flare only long duration programme- which can be used against manpads threat while diving or egressing. And with this setup, I can also stop a started programme by pushing cmd forward. that is my setup. Now, after last dtc update, I tried to defend a SA2. S/A mode ignored my dtc setup and started to drop 2 chaff 2 flare probably 0.5 interval. none of Auto modes had flare inside them.It should have been 1 chaff 1 interval 5 repeat. after that, I chose none for SA2 threats, it still dropped chaff flare. My dtc was loaded as default when I started in the air. guard channels were enabled for checking whether dtc loaded or not. I also tried without a dtc, and with dtc auto selected, didn't make any difference. There is one more thing that I want to mention. It used to show which manual mode selected on right of the S/A. But not anymore. I don't know whether intended or not. none.trk auto2 1 chaff 5 rep 1 int .trk
  11. hmmm I see. I didn't know that. Thank you for info. solved.
  12. I have thrustmaster warthog. Made some adjustment for physical afterburner detent on warthog and noticed that when my throttle is IDLE physically, throttle in game never goes to idle. In axis tune it says you have 100% output for idle but controls indicator says nope you have 90%. I don't have this problem with other modules they work as expected.
  13. that's a wake turbulance thing which has existed for +2 years now. imo it's a bug but nobody truly addressed the issue.Sometimes happens with A10. you may try to turn wake turbulance off.
  14. There is no visual cue for laser. only laser spot tracker. or sometimes hellfire can see and lock to jtac's laser if the conditions are right. , if you are going to use hellfire in DIR(in this mode, HF's seeker tries to look at tads fov) , you will need to find target location with your tads first. so, you need to find jtac's laser. to find it, u need LST. if you use it in remote(in remote mode, you enter jtac's or other aircraft's laser code(different from yours) in hellfire) you need to align hellfire to approximate location by either selecting FIX as ACQ and turning heli to there or selecting a target point, wp etc as ACQ. And if you don't know the location and don't have any point of that, you again need lst. There are 3 modes of laser spot tracker. first is auto which scans forward like air to air radar. you can use it if you don't know approximate location.more area to search, more time it needs to lock(if it sees). If you know approx location via coordinate, wp acq source etc, you can use manual mode.At first, slave to location, deslave.start lst in manual. then you can search area manually (you have control). If it sees a laser which you entered in lst code, it locks. 3rd mod is "off". after finding the target, you have to turn lst off to use tads normally again(you can't lase and store targets if you don't turn off the lst.). There are too much information to share about hi-low-remote thing. you better get into the manual
