Please watch attached mission. It's long but at the end thers is kinda anomaly. Suddenly I couldn't get approval for missile launch even if I'm deep in range. Tried to change to other weapons (rockets, gun) and back and still couldn't launch a missile. For a while you can see HUD keeps target locked but on abris screen indicator starts to travel forward and back. Chopper is on hover and have target still locked. HUD ubdates targets range as indicator on abris moves. However neither chopper nor targed is moving. Attached is a screenshot. Whole track is too big so I uploaded it to... http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=91d9caa120cefae791b20cc0d07ba4d277de6b8b0b612b79

Well, to be honest I didn't expect ED will provide that campaign to users with ru version for free. Thaaaat's nice. Biiiiiiiiiiiiig THANKS!
-
3DOF(= freetrack's PPjoy) = still stick with RU version why? Who would like to pay another $50 for something that will not work as nice as the one priced at $25. Anyway I do appreciate ED's effort to find a compromise (not a joke)
-
i updated this poll to bring it up as there are some new members here. Feel free to vote still. Thanks

Almost 25%. I think ED would be very happy to increase the western release sales by 25%...
-
Rigth. And not everything more expensive is worth its price ;)

question to think about.... Does Microsoft lock your PC to run/install win only????! or MS Office only??? Simply said NP doesn't have balls to stay any competition. Personaly I have RU version. I'd like to buy Western DVD version once it comes out. However as long as it will not support other tracking device but TIR, definitely I'll not buy it.

...what a gift?! me?!? :D

I have read this Q&A but didn't think it is related to coordinates too. Now I see Thanks!
-
Why there is a difference of measured bearing in ME and ABRIS? E.g. in ME measured relation of two points says 217 but in ABRIS says 203. It is a long distance. Is it "As design"?

Well, after some time of testing with using keybord only (for shkval slewing) I did not encounter the issue. Seems to be kind of bug in joy data processing in BS. Using the hat switch works OK in other sims I ever tried. BTW, is dev team working on this issue? Shouldn't be this thread moved to Problems and Bugs section?

Seems that western release is really close. Check this vid on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uL9dLB_5dT0 At the end there is a pic of English DVD case with rating "16+" So...

Which one are u using?

Not sure now... will TIR3 work with the sw v 4.x.x?

Headtracker interface cancelled???
Doggy replied to the_soupdragon's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
And what about that... Freetrack was able to work with TIR device as well. However NP forced them to remove this support from their sw. Why? They were actually supporting their product. Only if the FT has better results with TIR than original NP sw. Business is mainly about competition. I am asking you. Do you think that NP deservs to receive money for something that can not compete anymore with something that is for free? What effort they have in development if someone can do the same without reward. For NP is time to come with something diametrically different-better (like ED did with DCS series). "Force" policy is not a way to success. Business is about competition (saying again), to do something better than competitors. -
Headtracker interface cancelled???
Doggy replied to the_soupdragon's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Because of the NaturalPoint wish and NewInput.dll protected by SF -
Headtracker interface cancelled???
Doggy replied to the_soupdragon's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
In other words. TIR4 will be the ONLY working 6DOF head tracking device. Really bad -
Implementation of the new HeadTracker interface has been canceled. As the NewInput.dll will be protected be SF in the western release, there is no other option. (I don't like the PPjoy function of FT)
-
Well, seems that I'll stick with the RU version as the western version will support only TIR4. Biiiiiig mistake IMHO

Webcam only head tracking for BS without IR
Doggy replied to tank000's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Headtracker interface implementation canceled??!?!?! what? Does it mean that the only head tracking device wil be the TIR4??? (in western version) -
Shepski, I'm sure you did not read the whole thread...

Actually, Arg0n has confirmed it is reproducible even with using just keyboard slew keys. I didn't have chance to try it by myself as promised but I'm sure I will confirm the Arg0n "keyboard" experience Also his description perfectly match my experience too Arg0n, thanks for your post
-
EB, no chance it is it (in my case for sure). Once it starts only things you can do is either turn off the shkval or return to bore sight mode. The automatic slew function behaves with no problem and absolutely in different manner. In some cases I tried also to turn off and on the K-041 switch (now RTFM ;) ) to exclude possibility of any initiated function in the sim.

I also did play my trk file again. If I take control while the shkval is going crazy I'm also able to stop it just by using my hat. PVI points has nothing to do with it. I already check this several times. I did try maybe everything that is possible to find any reason why it is happening (including shkval winshield wiper, several times to make sure it is clean :) ) Seems I'm not alone with this experience. Raimir's described behaviour perfectly match what I'm seeing. For some time I'm gonna use only keyboard to manage the SHKVAL. Let you know the results. Thanks to all

Cyborg Evo (see my sign) I'm not using saitek's programing sw.
