  1. hello, of course if someone knows how to change mapping zones, and create different files to map theses areas, i would be interested..... another litlle bug that i noticed is the way 3D light reacts with dark surfaces. the hud panel turns grey without any dark lines and forces as soon as a direct sun light hit it. nothing to to to correct that effect, the only way would be to soft the lighting effect. I have finished today the two low panels, right and left and the right back panel and seat. next step, nigh light....

  3. As i said, i underestimate the work on the pit, i will finish next week the right low panel, then i will need one more week to do night lights. I worked on some details i didn't expect to rework at the begining (seats, lamps) i will take one more week to review all files and correct some details. so i will probably release at the end of january. you'll need to be a bit more patient :joystick:

  5. i notice in game that the 3D engine softens shadows and lighting effects of mapping when they don't match with the light source. in 90% of game use, it work's with a mutch more realistic perception than the original version that doesn't have any shadows. That was the reason of that rendering choice. But, Bucic, i would apreciate that after spending more than 300 hours on thoses pits, that you keep for you those "anyway, i don't like it so i will correct everything with photoshop as soon as the pit will be released" :D just a question of respecting other's work. thks
  6. still wip guys, i am in africa, i have to cope with big waves and the mod. sometime i prefer to surf instead of photoshoping:music_whistling: but i am on side panels and it looks great (for me) next step night lights and i will go on details. probably a bit of delay on release but with ED you are use to it:smilewink: happy christmas from senegal.
  7. unfortunatly, ed didn't took time to give a real texture to thoses areas. they decided to use such a small part of a file that it is like using only few pixels as a color reference. i told you, that 3D pit is a nightmare....:doh:

  9. hello dragon, i will use the orange light but i will desaturate a bit and probably dark it. i will use my chrismas hollyday to work on the night part of the pit.:smartass:

  13. hello guys, the references lights i have been using for lights : [ATTACH]44689[/ATTACH] if it is a completely different type in kamov 50, tell me. some of the references i have been using for the weathering effects. [ATTACH]44690[/ATTACH] bucic, the choice of a weathered cockpit is an artistic choice, i know that some, would prefer a brand new one, but as i used to work in modelling, in my mapping work i like to work this way. 3D is cold and by using theses scratches and "paint retoutch" i have the feeling that the pit looks more alive. keep in mind that most of the time in flight you look at theses details from a certain distance. it is important to increase a bit the scratch and weathering detail to have a global perception of them when you are flying the kamov. Keep in mind that you are looking at still shots, i am flying with this pit for monthes and the feeling is really different. "To be honest I didn't like one of your previous works as it looked like taken from under water and covered in flour afterwards." mmm, bulcit wich pit are you talking about? i will take a fresh look at it .:smartass: thanks for all you comments, and i understand that with the high level of price that this addon will be released some of you could be quiet demanding...:D
  14. hello bucic, the UV-26 buttons, are made of hard plastic and i found some interesting aging effect with plastic that makes it delaminating like scale. for the ir alarm warning buttons, i used the head of alarm buttons from su 22 pits. if you have some references, it would be usefull.

  16. hello, sorry about the russian version but i will let the community do the mod. As it is not my native language it would takes too much energy and time to do it. i prefer to spend my time on pure mapping work. :(

  20. hello guys, don't worry about this mod, i am working hard on it. all the jauges are finish, and i am now working on the dashboard file. still a couple of big questions i can't answer. on the dashpanel file, (tga) the alpha layer doesn't seems to work like a normal tga file but like a bmp. i am going to egypt for a week, i will post some screens when i will be back. cheers.

  22. hello Panzerhard, do you know where i could find the FC2 version1.2.0 ? i have found only the 1.2.1 on the net, it seems that everybody goes strait to the evolution.
