well, as usual i found a strange solution to a "shared texture problem" it just took me the day to add a detail in the main texture that will be able to fit the small texture area with the color i wanted. Dude, this way of working is just a nonsense! :doh: -

hello Luckybob9, thanks for your help, screws file was realy...screwing :huh: for the first screen, witch part is the back wall and wich one te side of the panel? just one missunderstanding about my third picture search. i found already the exteriors textures (orange and blue in the screenshot) i precised the area on that new screen. :thumbup: -

Hello guys, your informations were very helpfull, so i am asking for some new chalenges. :smartass: looking for : -the backwall "very extended" texture. -The edge of vertical right back panel. looking for : - the blue aberations on this part looking for : a precise map of theses verticals and horizontal parts of metal (black in the screenshot) that suround the windshield (in the cockpit) i know that it is in the "interior" file on the side left door (the black part where there is a handle) but i can't draw the template because textures are reversed. i want to have it with a soft grey tone like the rest of the cockpit instead of that black. :music_whistling:run run run litlle squirrel :music_whistling: your beer is on the way :music_whistling: -

Hello, Great work has been done on adaptation of my pits to BS2 and world. Thank's to devrim that make that search in the dark textures to find what was where...:doh: Colorising is a quick solution if you don't have the psd files but then you get pixelisation on shadows, and unfortunatly you loose lot of quality. Last week, because it was hollyday and i was home, i decided to go back to mapping. And, i have the psd files :smartass: so theses new pits use new original blue texture from blue metal painted. I was realy frustrated on the first version to have thoses big areas on sides of pit that where not modelised on ED pits. The new pit has great zones to work on and with the references given from Ebs russian site i could recreate these areas. I still keep some very light shadows on swiches and jauges because even on shadow an object needs it's own shadow to stick it on surfaces. and i think that the pit shadows are too basic in DSC. Of course it's english pits. :music_whistling: sorry for our russian friends.

Hello, things seems to be more complicated since money entred the community :music_whistling: I am a great fan of grandsurf work and now that i have a powerfull computer, i would jump on this eyescandy mod... sorry about my ignorance, but what is edge's work you are refering to?

great devrim!!! your better than me at finding needles ;-) if i realy understand left window on the first file, right window in the recockpit one? they separate this texture on two different file??? and the windows in the same "recockpit" file. man, that's weard! they should give the job to germans moders it would be simpler and logical...

thanks for thoses great informations devrim. i still search for some textures that you may have already found. i send you a screen, it will be more clear.:smartass: i knew that this is somewere in the file "recockpit." i thought it was in the midle of the center of the right side window texture (close to the front windows joints) because there is 4 textures shadowed there and the front windows are only three... but i was wrong. the joint i am refering to, are pointed in red on my screenshot it is around the texture of the windows wich i already located. thks

Yes, when they worked on that pit, it was a transition period between lock on and DSC. They were many big areas in the pit that were using very small parts of the mapping files. Some big sidewalls were using texture from an area smaller than a 5mm square. Those over stretched textures are ugly when mixed with other photorealistic ones. In flaming cliff texture files were at scale 1/1. It was simpler to get consistency of textures in game. With BS it was a double nightmare. Finding thoses very small areas without templates and work the dark black textures. Now, the architecture of the soft becomes more logic, less files and they reduce the number of stretched textures. By the way if someone knows we is the part I asked on my first post :thumbup::thumbup: QUESTION : to avoid the flicking effect on jauges wich in kind of DDS format should I save my files?

Hi guys, As i realy like the idea of that blue pit, i decided to go back to maping. Soon a release of à new ENGLISH HD blue pit. Soft blue, with some light shadows, and NEW walls. Ed changed a bit the architecture of this sim, and created some new files that are so obvious that they should have Been in the sim since the begining...:music_whistling: As everyone does the same work twice, i need some help : i can't locate the texture wich is just around the right window in the file "Ka-50_recockpit_1". Some kind of stupid ED 3D conception that uses 1mn of texture to create a huge surface in game... Definitly that pit was the worse that they create in all ED history. We 're lucky that this period seems to be gone.
