  1. Well some are having grave doubts about DCS WW2, but I'm actually seeing that 100% contrary. Because the flyables produced so far are just bloody excellent and the rest of the content needed, while admittedly lacking so far, will undoubtedly follow later (he says hopefully). When? Well that's a good question and we may have to wait for a while yet... But the AC produced so far are nothing short of excellent regardless so I'll just stay put flying the A/F Focke while waiting for the Mossie to drop.
  2. LMAO Well Tippis, you've got a good point there.
  3. So that's it from the horse's mouth so to speak.
  4. Well mech chargers then. Same gear ratios? RPMs? Lots of different factors all having an influence on how an engine sounds at any rate.
  5. But aren't we getting the F-8 too? Or have I misunderstood something?
  6. Well I'm exclusively a groundpounder nowadays, but still think the DCS Dora's an excellent ground attack platform as well. But a radial-engined Focke - and we're getting the F-8 too if I've understood correctly?!? Now THAT's my new baby fershure :D
  7. Yeah Yo-Yo, as much as we love all things authentic we're still deceivable, are we not? :music_whistling:
  8. And that too Nealius, of course. Slap on another prop and the sound is completely different.
  9. Because the MP crowd is a minority and most purchases come from the SP majority. You're welcome
  10. There're many things that can affect an engine's sound. Did they use the exact same exhaust stubs and turbos on both sides of the pond, for example? And how about the air inlets, were their dimensions similar on both planes?
  11. OK, thanks. Well that's a priceless bird then.
  12. Do any crates with original engines exist anymore, or are they all re-engined?
  13. Was perhaps a bit salty up there, but it's funny nonetheless how all WW2 simmers always complain about their crates being nerfed and the enemy's craft being overmodelled, regardless of what the devs do or don't do. So the best policy is of course to ignore the lot, isn't it?
  14. So according to you that's kind of bad? #LUFTYWHINERS
  15. But f*n-A, we're getting the radial-engined Tommy's scourge now. Ain't this something???
  16. Righto Shahdoh & Ala, didn't spot it myself. No prob though, willing to wait. S!
  17. The A (or, rather, the F, which we're getting too I've understood) is good for reprobates such as myself who want to sneak in and tune up all the poor bastards on the ground never expecting us to show up, then retreat full throttle on 100ft AGL. Gentlemanly? No. Sporting? No. Just being a barstage, and that suits me just fine :D
  18. So where's the bloody installer then? Doesn't show up in the module manager. Not being impatient, just asking ;) :D
  19. EDIT: deleting, not gonna see anymore minus points on my account
  20. Done, too. Doesn't show up in the module manager yet though, so cannöt install and test just yet.
  21. OK, going to right now. You?
  22. The consensus was that it is modelled correctly. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3825651&postcount=49
