  1. Same issue here when flying the F-14B. Resolves itself after 10s or sometimes takes minutes to resolve. Alt-tabbing sometimes wakes it up too. AMD 3900XT Asus ROG Strix 3080 32Gb RAM HP Reverb G2 No crashes to report
  2. I'm seeding - mind you I had no trouble getting it @ 500k/s (max speed for me).
  3. So they are both version 1.0 at the moment - meaning, nothing was added in the english release?
  4. I'd love to turn my iPhone into an Arbis or ICP :)
  5. http://kartsim.blogspot.com/ - A Karting sim that a good friend of mine is developing. They're doing much the same level of physics modelling for their engines & fuel etc.
  6. that level of detail makes me warm inside :)
  7. I'm just as eager at getting my hands on BS as the next guy, but I for one am very willing to wait for an english version. I can't say I understand the mad rush to get a copy of the sim in an illegible language - surely if you've waited this long, you can keep it up for a few more months? I appreciate the openness of this forum and the developers & testers. I hope they are willing & able to continue it like this through future versions of DCS.
  8. That's how my F4AF profile works - I reckon we're both using ruprecht's ;)
  9. HOTAS isn't meant to replace cockpit switches. They're meant to be used for essential functions just like with real aircraft. I've only assigned commands found on the real HOTAS of the KA-50, so I have heaps of space left on my X-52. I don't plan on adding anything more (beyond push-to-talk) though, as that's what the clickable cockpit (and keyboard) is for. Mind you my Falcon AF profile is pretty nuts, using all 3 modes and pinkies. I guess there needs to be a compromise to cover switches that need to be accessed quicker than using a mouse/keyboard.
  10. Hmm Falcon AF had a patch not too long ago to address this though, before that it was a bit flakey.
  11. You wouldn't go and see a movie in a foreign language just because it came out 3 months sooner, would you? Nope, as you'd not understand a thing and it would spoil the movie for you. It will be the same with this sim - you will be too frustrated to appreciate it properly. Just wait a little bit longer and it'll be all the more sweeter ;)
  12. Save your ink, get it professionally printed.
  13. Wow this was totally unexpected! Congratulations to all of the ED Team! You guys must be very happy :)
  14. see my sig, we've been around since before lomac and fly pretty much anything. Very casual group of nice people, no "yes sir how high sir" ;) The sim scene has been a bit quiet so not much is happening at the moment. Drop by the forums for a chat though! Things will get busy when DCS is released.
  15. Where is "Multiplayer"? It is not one of the main options - is this instead accessed once you choose mission/campaign? Looks very nice though!
  16. I agree, it would be nice if the mouse cursor was fixed relative to the 3d space rather than head position. The momentary right mouse button is a bit of a problem with HOTAS though. You don't want to have to take up a button just to control your thumb mouse. My suggestion would be to make the cursor invisible after x seconds idle. When the mouse is moved (be it mouse or hotas thumb mouse) then the cursor appears in the centre of the screen, fixed to the 3d space of the cockpit. So when you're moving the mouse, your head can move independently whilst the cursor moves inside a sphere centred on your view. This should be a new thread btw, great idea PheonixBvo
  17. Fantastic update, thanks Wags! The whole concept of feeding us all this juicy ka-50 info and then giving us screenshots from additional future products is both cheeky and awesome :D
  18. heh funny, but not very complementary is it? DCS: Crocodile is kinda cool, but not as tough sounding as "Black Shark"
