Maybe I didn't explain it thoroughly, but my point is that it is seamless in the A-10. I select point track, slew the TPOD over a moving target, TMS forward long and the TPOD designates and tracks the target, and the LGB guides right to it. In the F-15E, it seems you have to designate a point ahead of the target, then wait for it to move to that point, then press Auto Acq to track the target, but tracking the target is not a designation of the target so the LGB doesn't guide, and if you try to designate the moving target while it's being tracked you lose the track and it simply designates the point on the ground where the target used to be. Update: I tried again just now and still can't figure out how to designate a moving target. I can get a point track which follows the target, but pressing designate either before or after getting a point track simply designates a point on the ground, not the moving target. Tried it with CDES boxed and unboxed and neither one designates a moving target.

The Alt F1 view is dependent on enabling exporting? Didn't know that. You'd think views would just be part of the basic module.

So if all bombs have been dropped and therefore there is nothing to deselect, they are still selected somehow and I have to switch to another program, which also doesn't have any bombs to deselect? Seems very counterintuitive and it's not mentioned in the manual at all.

Master Arm on, A/G mode, HUD In Command, no stations selected, Auto Acq switch Aft Short. No CDIP pipper. Bug or am I doing something wrong?
-
Does anyone know where the files are to change the HUD color in the F-15E? Even with brightness turned all the way up It's impossible to see anything when flying on a sunny day or near clouds.

Has anyone been able to use a padlock view?

Has anyone heard when this will be fixed?

I'm very confused on the difference between Designate and Track, and how to get a track. In the A-10 you simply put the TPOD on the target and long press. This designates the target and tracks it, and the laser stays on the target. In the F-15, it sounds like I have to TDC Press at some distance ahead of a moving target, then Auto Acq Press to track it, and even if the TPOD tracks the laser may or may not. Is that correct? If so it doesn't seem very efficient/effective.

Perfect, thanks!

Sorry, basic questions but couldn't find in a general search. Threat Missile Padlock sounds like it would padlock to an incoming missile, but pressing LAlt + Num. does nothing with a missile tracking me. Same with All Missiles Padlock, RShift + Num. does nothing. What should it do? Is Lock View supposed to padlock on an enemy aircraft? Do these views only work in the cockpit, or only in external views, and how do you make them work?

What's the difference between a Mk84, Mk84 AIR, Mk84 AIR GP, and Mk84 AIR TP as listed in the loadout options?

When using Coolie Switch Up to cycle through nav points on the TPOD, is there a way to have it start with the currently selected nav point, and is there a way to decrement nav points? For example, if I have 2A selected on the UFC and hit Coolie Switch Up, the TPOD goes straight to 3A, then 4A instead of going to 2A, and then I can't get back to 2A or 3A with the coolie switch. You'd think that the TPOD would snap to the current steer point first, and then Coolie Switch Down would cycle back through nav points but it doesn't.

Have tried several times, GBU-28 never tracks. Master Arm on, A/G on, GBU selected, Auto delivery, N/T, 1/Sta, bunker designated with TPOD, target diamond on bunker, laser code correct, laser lasing (have tried both ALAS and MLAS), bomb releases properly but never tracks. What am I missing? (Also, how is there a GBU-28 in this mission when the GBU-28 is not available to select in the loadout options? Just curious.)
-
Yep, that was it. Thanks!

I can move to the rear seat using the keyboard bind, but then zooming the cockpit view or external view in/out doesn't work, and I'm unable to move back to the front seat. Have tried binding the Occupy keys to other keys and to the HOTAS. Works to move to the rear seat, but nothing works to allow zoom or to move back to the front seat.

Thanks, but as I've explained the mirrors are not off. They show a very low-resolution moving image. That's why I requested an option for them to be turned completely off. tempMission.miz.trk
-
They are not completely off as you can see in the screenshots I posted. They toggle to a very low res option that is useless and distracting. I simply requested there be an option to turn them completely off. Not sure what the misunderstanding is.
-
Not sure what your point is exactly. I don't care if they are textures or whatever they are, toggling them from the full res mode gives a 15-20 FPS increase but they are unuseable and annoying since you can't see anything except some gray smudges moving around the mirror. All I suggested was an option to turn them completely off.
-
Not sure what you're seeing, but in my F-15E the mirrors start in full resolution and toggling switches them to a useless low resolution with a 15-20 FPS increase. Regardless, the request is for an option to turn them off completely like is available in other modules to increase FPS.
-
Incorrect. They start in full resolution which causes a significant FPS reduction (for me), if you click them they change to reduced resolution which is useless and annoying, and there is no option to turn them off.
-
So it appears the autopilot works in Missions, Instant Action, etc., but doesn't work Multiplayer or in Sedlo's Red Flag DLC. Odd.
-
The only option is low res mode, but that is useless and visually annoying. Please make an option to turn them off.
-
Yes, I've tried leveling and trimming many times but it doesn't work. None of the modes work really. Haven't tried being exactly in mil power for the Alt select. Will try but that shouldn't be necessary. Vastly better autopilot in the A-10, F-16, and F-18.
-
I'm also unable to get altitude hold to work. AP is on and Alt Hold is selected but it doesn't do anything. Alt Sel doesn't work either, nor does it hold bank. Essentially useless.

Emergency Jettison not jettisoning everything
dporter22 replied to Joghurt's topic in Bugs and Problems
Any ordnance on the CFT racks do not jettison either.
