  1. Does anyone know how to fix this? It shows up every time I start DCS. I just click OK and it goes away and DCS starts as normal.
  2. Doesn't work for me. Maverick seeker still moves all around with aircraft movement and holding or releasing DMS Forward does nothing.
  3. I have the same issue since latest update.
  4. Yes, I've tried all combinations of brightness/contrast. The pic shows the display with medium brightness, but brightness doesn't really matter anyway because decreasing the brightness also decreases the brightness of the symbols which keeps them nearly invisible regardless of the settings. And turning up the contrast just makes the symbols more yellow which makes them even less visible. The center display at least has a separate symbol brightness control, but it still doesn't make them bright enough to see clearly over the map.
  5. Thanks. I just have a hard time understanding why they would design something as important as the symbology to be near invisible IRL. The pilot should be concerned with getting the best image possible, but the symbols/overlays should be highly visible and instantly readable under all display settings.
  6. Is there a secret to making the symbols over the FLIR and map bright enough to actually see them clearly? I've tried every combination of brightness and contrast but no matter tnullhe settings the symbols are always barely visible. The map has a symbol brightness button but even at max the symbols are not very bright, and turning the gain down all the way helps a little but then you lose most of the map visibility. In the A-10 the symbols are very clear over the map and TGP MFDs.
  7. Yes, that's what I was asking, how do I override them?
  8. Yes, that box is checked but it doesn't change which views are allowed in a mission. I believe the various options (F6 view, map view, auto start, etc.) are controlled by the author of the mission.
  9. Is there a way to enable the F6 weapons view and F10 map view showing the player's aircraft in this campaign for those of us who aren't experts yet?
  10. Ok. It would help if the location was given as 2 Delta since that's where Tomban is and the tank is never in 3 Charlie. Different question while you're here: What's the secret for getting JTAC to clear you hot? I have tried multiple times being exactly on the correct attack heading and he always says go around.
  11. It would be nice if the view of the cockpit didn't become such poor quality when you turn on the NVGs.
  12. I'm confused. I get assigned to Sector 3 and JTAC says there's a tank in 3 Charlie northwest of Tomban. Does that mean grid 3C within Sector 3, because there is no tank there. When I finally found the tank it's in 2D of Sector 3.
  13. Yes, SEQ1 is boxed. I've tried everything, but most of the time I'm unable to select AUTO.
  14. Correct, autopilot is not engaged when trying to select AUTO.
  15. Yep, tried short, medium, long, and very long presses. Stick is centered, no movement, no spikes. Odd.
  16. Is there something simple I'm missing to get auto sequence of waypoints and the autopilot to work consistently? On the HSI I select WYPT and SEQ1, but when I press the AUTO OSB it only turns on rarely. Sometimes it works if I try again a few minutes later, sometimes not. The autopilot also only works sometimes. Dead zones set, trims set, flying straight and level, no stick movement, etc. Often when I select CPLD or BAR it gives me a warning beep and master caution light but no colon next to them and they don't turn on. Try again later and sometimes it works, sometimes not.
  17. Mine shows a course line on the SA page. Doesn't make sense to have a course line running through where the tacan symbol should be, but I guess that's just the way it is.
  18. Odd that they would design a situational awareness page with all kinds of informational symbols and details, then leave out one of the most important ones.
  19. The tacan symbol shows up on the HSI, but how do I get it to show up on the SA page?
  20. I draw the conclusion from the manual which says it's not implemented yet, and from the fact that it does not automatically select the best program when in S/A or AUTO modes. It simply activates whichever program you have selected.
  21. Yes, turning on the system works, my question was just whether the automatic selection of the best program in S/A or AUTO was functional and apparently it has not yet been implemented.
  22. Thanks guys. I wasn't waiting long enough for the timer to start. I don't see anywhere in the manual or guides that explains you have to wait 20 seconds for the alignment to start, so I thought it didn't work when it didn't start immediately.
  23. According to the checklist, selecting a stored heading is an alternate/faster method for alignment and all you should need to do is select CV. Am I misunderstanding?
  24. No, still doesn't work. I don't have a track but I just follow the checklist which says to set the ATT switch to AUTO and the INS switch to CV. It then just says NO ATT on the DDI and never starts aligning, so I just select IFA and it aligns. Not a big deal, but if I understand correctly you're supposed to select CV when operating from the carrier.
  25. Simply turning the switch to CV after engine start.
