  1. Thanks for checking. I tried three times and the JTAC never responds. Will try again.
  2. Unfortunately there's nothing to watch. The JTAC is supposed to lase the targets, but you can't contact him and he doesn't lase anything.
  3. The briefing says the JTAC will lase targets, but he doesn't respond to calls and is not lasing anything. Yes, I'm on the correct channel/freq (1/131.00).
  4. I'm confused about your last statement. The TGP in the F-18 and A-10 can track and continuously designate moving targets with a continuously updated bomb fall line/release cue. That's the whole point of this thread, that the F-15E can't (until\unless they ever model a newer suite), while other modules can. As has been discussed, in other modules there is no guesstimating of where you think a moving target will be in 30 seconds, no designating a point on the ground somewhere and hoping the target gets close, no switching back and forth or updating the designation point, etc. You simply get a point track and designate, and the TGP maintains it.
  5. Yes, I believe that's what it said. I'm confused though because the briefing says I'm supposed to establish air superiority. On the 4th and 5th missions, air superiority has not been established so I'm not able to support the ground forces yet. Should the other Devil flights be assigned to ground support from the beginning?
  6. Not very intuitive in the SE. In other aircraft QTY means what it says, which is the total number of bombs to be released, and MULT means how many bombs to be released simultaneously in the release cluster. In the SE for example, you can't release a simultaneous cluster of 3 bombs from one station, or 3 bombs from 2 stations, etc.
  7. How many missions are in this campaign? I flew 4 successful missions, and then at the end of the 5th it said the campaign was over and try again. Should there be more or was that it?
  8. The narrative says I'm supposed to make sure the loadouts for the other flights are correct for their missions. How do I do that? I only have access to my aircraft and my wingman's in the mission planner. Is it automatic when I select their missions? Also, is there a way to make enemy aircraft visible on the F10 map?

  10. Thanks, but I'm just asking about how to get the diamond in the HUD to move with the diamond in the FLIR as shown in all the videos. When I slew the FLIR, the diamond in the HUD does not slew, but it jumps to the target when I TDC depress in the FLIR. Maybe it just doesn't work like that anymore.
  11. I don't have the canopy open, is that required? There's no frequency. I select Request Repair from the comms menu, but nothing happens even after 170 seconds.
  12. On the ramp, engines off, at a friendly base, select Request Repair, nothing happens. What am I missing?
  13. Yes, the TDC slews on the FLIR, but how do I get the HUD diamond to slew with the FLIR diamond?
  14. In the various tutorials it shows that when you designate a target with the FLIR, a dashed diamond shows up on the HUD and slews with the FLIR to maintain SA. When I do this the diamond in the HUD does not slew with the FLIR. If I slew the FLIR and designate another target, the diamond in the HUD jumps to the new target, but is there a way to slave the HUD target diamond so that it slews with the FLIR?

  16. Thanks. Also, how do you skip the mission? When it fails a female voice starts counting down (only 5 seconds) but the Comms menu doesn't work so there's no way to select anything.
  17. What's the secret to Mission 1? I follow the instructions to enter from the west using waypoints 4 and 5, then he says to start a low pass, then before I can even reach the airshow area the mission fails for not staying within 3 miles. How do I fail for not staying within 3 miles if I haven't even arrived at the airshow area? I initiate everything immediately when he says to.
  18. Dumb question - is there anything else to do after destroying the primary target? Are there triggers for more targets or is this a single-target mission? Also, I noticed that the elevations on the kneeboard are different in the Flight Plan section than they are in the Targets section, and these are different than the F10 map elevations, and some of the decimal coordinates are slightly different between the kneeboard and the F10 map.
  19. Is there a secret to getting my wingman to actually engage and drop weapons? I've tried the first few missions several times and he never does anything after being ordered to push and acknowledging.
  20. Double tapping NWS does nothing (yes, it is bound correctly). I have to use the OSB to box VVSLV, then double tapping will enable snowplow. Is this how it's supposed to work? Neither the manual, guide, nor tutorials mention using the OSB first. They all say just double tap to unstow and enable VVSLV mode.

  25. I don't misunderstand anything, nor does Wags or anyone else who explains how it works. I didn't say they compute a lead release, I said they automatically and continuously track and lase the moving target, which is exactly what every manual says, every training mission demonstrates, and every video tutorial shows for the A-10, F-16, and F-18, but not the F-15 because it currently doesn't have that capability. Not sure why this is so difficult for people to comprehend.
