  1. Thanks guys. The manual is not clear on this at all. Nowhere does it say that CMS FORWARD activates consent in S/A mode or that there are three hidden programs that the system chooses from when in S/A or AUTO modes. From the manual: • Aft. When in BYPASS mode, this will release one flare. If not in BYPASS mode or OFF, AUTO, S/A, or MAN mode will initiate the program. • Forward. When in BYPASS mode, this will release one chaff bundle. If not in BYPASS mode or OFF, it will initiate manual program 5. So what it should say is: - Fwd. When BYPASS is selected two chaff bundles are released. When ON is selected Program 5 is initiated in MAN mode and consent to dispense is given in S/A mode. - Aft. When BYPASS is selected two flares are released. When ON is selected the selected program is initiated when in MAN, S/A, or AUTO modes. It should also say something about pausing dispensing. In my test flights, I am unable to pause dispensing once a program has been activated in MAN mode, but pressing Fwd pauses dispensing in S/A and AUTO modes. The problem is that once I've paused dispensing in S/A or AUTO mode by pressing Fwd, there doesn't seem to be a way to unpause, reactivate consent, or reactivate auto dispensing without first initiating the manual program by pressing Aft.
  2. The manual says the S/A and AUTO modes are coming later, so I guess they're still not implemented.
  3. If the manual says that S/A and Auto modes will automatically select the appropriate countermeasures for the current threat, why does the EW page allow me to step through and select from five S/A and Auto programs? Do the S/A and Auto modes create a program depending on the threat, or do they only select from the five default or user created programs? Either way, if these modes are supposed to automatically select the best program, what happens when I select S/A 2, or Auto 4, for example? Will it use those programs, or will it select another program depending on the threat? Update: I just did a test mission and the S/A mode simply dispenses whichever program is selected by the pilot regardless of the threat. When I set it to S/A1 it dispenses Program 1, when I set it to S/A2 it dispenses Program 2, etc. against the same SAM threat. There doesn't seem to be any automatic determination or dispensing of whichever is the best program.
  4. Not hung up, simply asked a question. Apparently the answer is the F10 map doesn't allow waypoint incrementing, and there's a bug which always connects your aircraft back to Waypoint 1 and serves no purpose.
  5. Yes, but my question isn't about AI flights.
  6. I guess that could be it, but it's not just this mission, it's every mission for all the modules I have (A-10, F-16, F-18, F-14). If it was left over from original AI testing years ago, I would think that ED would have corrected it by now.
  7. Then why is it there?
  8. Thanks, but as I've said several times I'm not asking about AI aircraft and I haven't added anything, edited anything, or modified anything, and I'm not asking about the SA page, HSI, nav computer, or anything else. Once again, as can clearly be seen in the screenshots I've posted, it is MY aircraft, showing the waypoints for MY mission, with MY flight plan shown in yellow, with a line always extending from MY aircraft back to the first waypoint. All I'm asking is why is there always a line extending from my aircraft's current position back to Waypoint 1? It serves no purpose.
  9. The F10 flight plan is not a bug, it shows the mission waypoints and flight plan for the player and has done so for many years. And if it only works for AI aircraft, why does it show my flight plan, my waypoints, and a dashed yellow line extending from my aircraft?
  10. Sorry, I still don't understand why everyone keeps saying it's only for AI aircraft. As I explained, and as the screenshot clearly shows, those are waypoints for my aircraft, the icon is my aircraft, and the flight plan line is attached to my aircraft. There are no AI aircraft flying my flight plan. What's the purpose of the dashed yellow line always extending from my aircraft back to Waypoint 1?
  11. Thanks everyone, but again I'm not talking about viewing or controlling AI aircraft and I don't understand the comments about not being able to ever see waypoints on the F10 map. Obviously you can see waypoints on the F10 map because I posted a screenshot of it. All you have to do is click on your own aircraft icon and the waypoints and flight plan show up. I'm also not talking about creating your own mission, or adding waypoints in the editor, or doing all kinds of modifications or anything, just the standard missions available with the modules. All I'm asking is how to increment the waypoints so that the dashed yellow line goes from my aircraft to the next waypoint instead of remaining attached to the previous waypoint and dragging behind my aircraft. The screenshot below is from the F-18 Alert 5 mission. No mods, haven't changed anything, no edits, haven't created waypoints, nothing. This is how the map looks after clicking my aircraft icon. It is my aircraft, not AI. I have just flown directly over Waypoint 1 and am headed to Waypoint 2. As you can see, the yellow line extends behind my aircraft back to Waypoint 1 and will remain that way no matter what I do. After flying directly over Waypoint 2 there will still be a line extending from Waypoint 2 to Waypoint 1, and there will still be a line from my aircraft to Waypoint 1. I can understand the flight plan line remaining showing overall flight plan (although it would be better if the yellow line simply extended from your aircraft to the next waypoint), but having a line extending from my current aircraft position back to Waypoint 1 serves no purpose. I don't care about Waypoint 1 after I've passed it and don't need a constant line back to it throughout the mission. null
  12. Thank you but I'm not asking about AI aircraft, I'm asking about my aircraft. When you click on your own aircraft it shows the flight plan and waypoints with a dashed yellow line, but the line always stays connected to Waypoint 1 instead of incrementing to subsequent waypoints. In the image I posted above, the white icon is my aircraft with the yellow line attached to it back to Waypoint 1, even though I've already passed Waypoint 1 and am heading to Waypoint 2.
  13. Double clicking on the waypoint does nothing, right clicking does nothing, returning and flying over the waypoint again does nothing, and I don't see any F10 map options that increment the waypoint. The flight plan line stays attached to Waypoint 1 and drags behind the airplane icon no matter what I do, which doesn't make sense. The F10 map should mirror what's happening in the airplane, so when you pass a waypoint, or select a different one, the yellow dashed line should extend in front of the airplane icon to the selected waypoint. Anyone?
  14. How do I increment waypoints in the map view so that the yellow flight plan line doesn't stay attached to the previous waypoint even though I already flew directly over it?
  15. This mission is not possible to complete in its current form. There is no way a single F-18 with four JSOWs can successfully attack the assigned targets when there is a battery of 32 SA-10s protecting the area. No matter what you do, no matter which direction/altitude/distance you launch from, and no matter how you configure the JSOWs, the SA-10s will take them out every time.
  16. Copy. I guess the manual mode is not as accurate anyway so there's not really a way for it to ensure bomb impact spacing.
  17. Ok, so the training mission is incorrect when it refers to feet (you'd think they would double check these basic things in the training scenarios, along with all the spelling errors). And is the INT setting milliseconds between releases or impacts?
  18. If INT is feet, then why does the profile page indicate MS instead of FT? And if MS means milliseconds, is it milliseconds between releases or milliseconds between impacts?
  19. In the Manual Mode bomb training mission it says that the INT value is the number of feet between bombs and he has you input 100 feet, but on the bomb profile page it shows the INT value is MS. I assume this means milliseconds or meters. Either way, MS is not feet. Can anyone clarify please?
  20. You're right, it's there, just seems to be much quieter than before. Can only barely hear it with engines running now.
  21. I noticed there is no longer a canopy opening/closing sound. Tried all audio options. Anyone else?
  22. BTW, on the link you sent it says there is a repair option in the Start menu, a repair file in the DCS root folder, or to download the batch files and run them. I have no option in my Start menu, no file in my root folder, and downloading and double clicking the batch files doesn't run anything. What am I missing?
  23. Seems to be working now. I cleaned/repaired three times.
  24. Same problem, DCS loads to main screen but then crashes when I attempt to start any missions, campaigns, training, etc. Worked fine before update. Rebooted several times. No mods. Made no changes to any hardware or software. Updated drivers. Plenty of RAM. Plenty of SSD space. No page file issues. Can you please help Flappie? dcs.log-20220403-192756.zip
  25. Still misspelled over two years later.
