  1. The 51st PVO Regiment is proud to present statistics for our FC2/DCS server http://www.51st.org/stats/ Points are awarded to pilots based on the events present in the logs. All events are attributed to flights, which start with a pilot entering the server and end when he exits. During a flight, a pilot can score points from air-to-air and air-to-ground points and double these points by safely returning to a friendly airbase. Bonus points are awarded for air-to-air kills on pilots of the 51st PVO Regiment (those wearing <51> tags) and for ejecting before crashing. Kills on friendly aircraft, ground units and ships will be penalized. A detailed account of the scoring system is given at http://www.51st.org/stats/rules.html The stats pages are separated in an air-to-air page, an air-to-ground page, a page showing the overall pilot statistics and a page grouping stats of pilots belonging to squadrons. The logs are parsed and uploaded to the stats page several times an hour. For questions, comments or suggestions about the stats page, use this thread or the Server Support Desk of our forums.
  2. Well done Soviet! I got the image from http://www.airspacemag.com/multimedia/Inside-the-Enola-Gay.html. It is a crop of the crew tunnel. The crew tunnel isn't standard, the white box protruding from the bottom is a modification for it to be able to carry the first atomic bomb.
  3. Getting close, but not the answer I was looking for.

  5. Sweet! Ok, my first turn here. I have no clue if you'll find this hard or not, but what is the name of this aircraft?
  6. In my 'Bridge over the river Inguri' I added some triggers to give a fighter jock that's hunting lone bombers and choppers something to play with. Essentially AI fighter cover will spawn when the fighter goes lame. It's not a perfect solution, but it may give the bomber guys a laugh :smilewink:
  7. Fighter wings, Cessna wings or glider wings?
  8. What!? You're not flying?? If there ever was the opportunity to fly the realistic scenario you'd been talking about so much, this is it! :D From X-man on the 159th Forums: So no ATC.
  9. Also from the 159th GAR forums: 4 x MiG-29G 8 x F-15C 10 x MiG-29A 10 x Su-27S 4 x Su-25T 8 x Ka-50
  10. Please check and use the discussion and questions thread on the 159th GAR forums. Questions: Answers:
  11. See X-man's message. In green text it says: If you are interested in participating in the next RedFlag please PM me, X-man, no later than September 4th at 2000 GMT
  12. This is already present on some servers. The problem is not so much the missions but the people that fly it. The people flying on it have to be brought to the mindset the server aims for. It can be done, but it is not easy and it will take time for people to get used to.
  13. Thanks EB! Google translate indicated some very interesting triggers.
  14. What is the status of the mission now Grimes? Is it already running on the server with the latest changes?
  15. The 51st has held 2 or 3 GCI weekends (see this old thread). We used GCI software and human GCI controllers to direct fighters and bombers on both coalitions to achieve targets. I participated in a few, both flying and as controller, and it was a lot of fun. I would guess up to 70% of the players on the server would be on the TS server as well, many of which were actively directed by the controller. The major bottlenecks with events like this is that being a GCI controller is a very stressfull job, and it is hard to find people willing and being capable of doing it. Furthermore, there is always the language problem, where people may not speak English at the level needed. We found it hard to man our server with GCI controllers for 3 evenings during one of these weekends. Part of the work could be taken by triggers, but not to the level of a human controller.
  16. There is a squadron directory where you can narrow down the squads that fly what you want to fly and then contact them separately: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34062
  17. Geier started this thread a while back. I do not read Russian, but perhaps some of our Russian friends can dig out some information. But great initiative mvsgas, very interesting thread!
  18. Yes, it is called FC2/DCS. The track is very specific to the game, and only the game will read it properly and replay it properly (most of the time). Check my one click replay scripts. If you enable Tacview before replaying it will make an ACMI for you. Also check out my batch scripts for switching between stock and Tacviewed enabled export.lua for easy switching between configurations when flying MP.
  19. Napoleon is my first Total War game and I like it a lot!
  20. Looking forward to it Grimes! You're the trigger master!
  21. I still have the data. Well, what I was thinking about was having the export.lua script check for a file on the client side that says if he wants to run ERI or not.
  22. Remember that any tests done with ERI in FC2 has been done where export.lua was not IC'ed. Hence only clients having installed it actually used ERI. This is very different from enforcing ERI as part of the files to be IC'ed as every client will have it running. We don't know if this will impact gameplay, it might, and it might not, we just don't know. This also brings up the problem that no one mentioned before. What if you want to fly the F-15 but do not want to use ERI? If ERI or what ever mod is forced onto the clients through the integrity check, should you not at least give the client the opportunity to say if he wants it or not?
  23. Another thread hijacked by the F-15 mafia. If even moderators can't be tempted to keep a thread on topic, why would you expect someone to actually be willing to work on a solution to the problem posed in this thread. So much for fair and balanced moderating. Honestly, anyone that wants ERI allowed on his favourite server should take these issues to the admin of that server. Starting a thread like this on the ED forums will turn it into the rant we've seen over a dozen times before.
  24. Realistically there are no F-15C's stationed in Russia or Georgia. All these debates about what is realistic or not are moot, as we have to live with what ED has given us, what we can change ourselves, what missions makers are willing to implement and what server admins are willing to run. So I suggest we quit these off topic discussions and discuss the problem this thread tries to address.
