first those runway numbers on runway are not accurate enough, second some of those numbers on charts are totally incorrect!!! faced lots of issues using these numbers as course, the ways I usually use are 1-setting the course when the plane is lined up or 2-using ruler (and using those numbers to update the charts) otherwise you're probably gonna be landing right into dirt or ramp:joystick::joystick:.

To be honest, I don't see any point in those guesses and speculations!!! does it really matters if hornet or tomcat comes first? the point is, they're coming!!! both confirmed and under lots of work. I know I know, there had been lots of delays on some modules like hornet (not sure about tomcat), but just throwing another "release time?!" topic is not going to help anyone!

this map lacks one of the islands, called kish island!!!!!!!!! don't know why but they hadn't worked on it as it's one of the biggest airport of Iranian territory in Persian gulf!!!! and obviously covered in this map!!!!

I've seen many guys spamming aim120s in servers, I can't even imagine how terrifying would it be if we see those spamming guys flying tomcats boarding 6 Aim-54s and spamming them over a map which is mostly covered by water :noexpression::noexpression::noexpression: 5-6 of those guys in tomcats and the whole map would be a no-fly zone:lol::lol::lol::lol:

exactly!!! although I don't really like releasing the f-18 with less than 10% of it's capabilities, I really think they did the right thing to let us know what we're going to face at early access, anyone who doesn't like it this way (like me) can wait for a while until the hornet is complete! as simple as that!!!

During the latest Exercises for Air force on one of missions 2 tomcats had the task of intercepting the one f-7 and one f-5 who had the task to take down a mocked airport (flying in the weeds). As my friend who was flying the f-7 (Chinese version of mig21) told me the f-14 could only find them when they were flying over flat areas for just a couple of minutes and then lost them as they entered the terrain mask!! ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ever noticed none of Iranian tomcats has the cover of refueling prob? guess why!!!! Yup seen that, but the cockpit look more like f14 cockpit and I really doubt IRIAF would do that, otherwise the helmet colors looks like jolly Rogers yellow

Well it's some sort of weird to see su27 dogfighting f-14 in a training during at the time video was recorded.

exactly, a good RIO and a good pilot working together would turn tomcat into one of the most dangerous killing machines!!!!

It might seem crazy, but I myself would rather only fly as RIO, don't know why, but I really love the action and excitement of it. from my past flights in back seats of l-39 in cold war server I can say for sure, that with 2 pairs of eyes it's almost impossible to lose visual on target.

hi everyone the one who shared this footage claims that it's one of the HUD footages of IRIAF tomcats doing some BFM trainings over Isfahan with mig-29 s. Totally agree, some SAMs like 8,15 and 11 are extremely dangerous even at really low altitudes, and surviving the sa-11 missiles near pass is almost impossible due to blast fragmentation.

Well as been mentioned there's a really important point, mixed SAMs, if it's only SA-10 it's just flying low poping up at a point releasing some low drags and kaboom, but when it comes with mixed SAMs, it turns complicated, we usually don't fly at that situation without proper SEAD to at least eliminate the long range SAMs as the short other ones are not any problem at all if you know how to handle those mavericks. by the way one of the worst long range SAMs I've ever met was SA-11 BUK, it just hit me when I was almost touching the ground flying low, unlike the S-300 which simply can't take you down if you're flying so low (same applies for moskva, you can get really close to the ship flying below 10m,then shoot some SEAD missiles at it, with 2-3 su25s shooting at the ship,it's pretty much dead). I myself would also use help of my wingman locating the long range SAMs (as spotting the other ones would be pretty easy using TGP and RWR) is some situations.as my wingman starts tickling the SAM and forcing it to shoot some missiles (and then using some terrain mask or other methods to avoid being shot down) and just following the trail to find it. I know many of these ways may not be the proper way of using a-10 or su25, but when there's no SEAD available and you are forced to get the job done, using proper methods may not always answer. all of those methods me and my wingman use are gained by tests and experiencing. So if you had learned the missile avoidance techniques and you know how to use your weapons, go out and start testing.

I had been doing some helmet texturing for my mirage 2000c helmet lately, but then after seeing this picture at Instagram I came up with the idea that, why not to apply the same to DCS, with or without the reflection, but the question is, is there any place I can find those textures to start messing with or it's more complicated than I thought it might be and can't be done?
