  1. Something wrong with Gazelle flight model?
  2. In HOTAS category, there is Main VUHF radio select and Aux. UHF radio select options. Use those to switch between radio menus ("") for VUHF and UHF. I use LCtrl + Hat on stick up/down.
  3. +1 hear hear
  4. I think only thing implemented is "N" on the VTB switches. Which set one of INS waypoints as Radar Bullseye, giving you range and bearing of the radar cursor from that waypoint
  5. Triangle? Is that even implemented? I heard when radar and magic are locking same target then Triangle instead of square should appear on target. But i never saw it in game, only on early M2k playtests (like 2 years ago)
  6. Tone means that missile seeker got a lock and its ready to fly at target. However it cannot judge range so it doesnt know if its able to reach target or not. Thats why laser finders and radar come to play. Its very important with planes who got IR missile only with no radar, like A10. There u need to judge distance yourself For magic, Radar provides range to target (TIR when in range) and it can also slew magic seeker to radar lock (HOTAS key). you need to slew manually (pressing button), its not automatic. Also Magic slew button got other uses as well, like CCRP bombing or INS calibrations, so its quite important. Hotas key also have unlock Magic lock. Remeber that for current version of Mirage Magic seeker is looking at gun cross and not through TIR circle. So you may have radar lock on Bandit but if your wingman goes through your Guncross then Magic will lock on friendly. Sometimes even though radar tells you TIR, be aware that magic may run out of juice when chasing high speed bandit who is running away from you. I would wait until I am half range. And to your last question, well principle of missile combat is same to every missile (Physics is same to everyone). When firing head on missile has less to travel so it got more energy to use to turn. However when firing at hostile 6 then missile have lock on hot engine so its harder to break its lock. Magic II is very maneuverable missile, I would say on par with R73 (more maneuverable then aim9), but its burn time is really short, therefore its range is short, and thats its biggest drawback.
  7. Mirage Pilots' Wet Dream...
  8. As said before, Auto pilot standby. You can map that and double tap for trim reset
  9. If You press PREP twice then current DEST waypoint would be selected on PREP as well. Same works other way around. If you press DEST twice then Current PREP waypoint would be selected in DEST.
  10. Or you can just tick "INS always aligned in special options tab" ;P
  11. Yeah, but i heard that 16 should be physical max on m2k if loaded without eclair and currently u can load more then that. And when you spawn from mission editor then u have 14 flares by default, not 16 Just spawned - Cold Takeoff instant action (2 flares missing) Max amount of flares available without eclair (Is this even possible in RL mirage? shouldnt max be 16? and BTW 6 flares are missing) Max amount of flares with Eclair Just Eclair
  12. Also when you add for example 2 new waypoints, after death first added waypoint is remembered but PCN now forbids you from adding any new waypoints. You are forced to modify waypoints already in the system
  13. Also by default you start with 14 flares instead of 16. And you can take more flares even without Eclair. Is this how it can work? I heard that you can only take 16 flares if you fly without Eclair.
  14. In that mode you can press trigger and release the bomb before reaching release point. So holding trigger like in regular CCRP makes bomb drop way too early
  15. Thats not RWR though, thats radar screen. RWR (Radar warning Receiver) is circular in shape and is in top right side of front panel. It shows you direction of radar emissions and its threat level to your plane EDIT: Learn to read Tau.... (ignore this post)
  16. How about M2000B/D? :P
  17. Did u trimmed before during flight?
  18. Ah thank you!, I always wondered what they do ;D
  19. Ah, I see. Thanks a lot. Does any other parameter works as well?
  20. So what exactly does it tell you? ur position in relation to the selected bullseye wp? It doesnt match the HSI on that... Does any other VTB parameter works? If yes how that works?
  21. Feef, yep it seems like old loadout was an issue. I made new one from scratch and it works now Thanks a lot, both of you :D
  22. here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8LYgGlSJaTMenRLS2JEa0tCUTQ However I tested on all skins, even default ones and issue is same. BFG66 is broken when spawn cluster loadout , but its fine if rearmed from groundcrew
  23. So I was making some custom skins and test them how they look in game. I made nice skin showdown mission and one day it stop working. I can add other planes and fully modify them, but I cant add M2000c of any nation. It breaks game as i get stuck in Mission editor and can't leave it unless I force close the game. If i put other plane and then change it to m2k then working unit becomes broken (cant change anything, cant modify waypoints, armament, skin etc) and stays broken unless I change it back to any other plane again. I set model viewer so that it opens with m2k and my skin preset, but now it doesnt work. M2k model fails to load at all and I need to use other model file for it. Thats why I presume thats the source of problems. Also it seems like there is bug with cluster bomb as it seem to use older model with no pylons. Of course all of it could be caused by me, when i was making skins, but it did work before and I wasnt working with models files... I dont think custom skin affects model of BLG66... EDIT : Ok it seems like it was me who screw up. Apparently DCS doesn't like zip files in liveries folder. Mission editor works now. But BLG66 not, and cluster bombs work in 2.0 Nevada, so i presume i mess up a file somewhere... I have no idea where though... and yes I did run repair on cmd EDIT : Ok BLG66 works, needed to redo the loadouts from scratch
  24. Actually there is Trim reset button, little black one right under G-limter switch. Unfortunatly u cannot map it on controler or keyboard. But if u start from cold, you are supposed to test your FBW after engine start, to make DECOL go away (according to start-up procedure)
  25. I believe there is a difference between hard lock and actual 530 launch. I think TWS gave no sound alarm just RWR direction, STT gives long tone and RWR direction, 530 launch gives screaming alarm and RWR direction. Of course unless u approach through enemy RWR blindspot, then he got no idea whatsoever unless spotted visually :P
