Have you tried Mavericks though? Can you slew them and fire multiple ones if designated with a TGP?

A little help with the AGM 65F & TGP please Designate target with TDC on TGP screen then switch to Maverick screen and uncage it but cannot slew it at all so I have so far tried: 1) If I un designate the target the TGP returns to aircraft nose centre about -10 loosing visual on the target area but I can then slew the missile but want the TGP to stay on target. 2) I have realistic TDC slew off in options as I have a warthog throttle so no press and hold required to slew. 3) Diamond is on the correct screen for the sensor I’m working with. So actual question is the TGP suppose to return to aircraft nose looking slightly down when you undesignate a target? I feel something is wrong here? Open beta latest build.

At this stage unless you have a steerpoint set up prior in the ME then what you are attempting does not work. Add several waypoints somewhere in the ME and then select one in the aircraft. The TGP will slave to it and then you can slew it or bore sight it like you are doing and when you designate a target it will put the steerpoint on that target and give accurate CCRP cue. Hopefully this behavior will be addressed soon as more features and fixes come.

Thanks for the info, we tried and managed to get it working, definitely seems dependent on the lasing aircrafts position and range so as you say coordination is key.

Great thanks, I have re tried it with a drone setup lasing and it worked great and will try with my buddy in the F18 later. When using LSS do you have to have the target somewhere specific ie inside the HUD so you run in at the target with LSS on? I find a lack of consistency getting a lock and can’t figure out why?

Ok that’s good to know, thanks for confirming. I did not remember to press the Uncage button so that is good you mention that. So the TGP should slave to the target once it sees the laser and a CCRP cue will appear?

Tried last night with F16 designating and F18 using LSS but guess the way we position the two aircraft made it very unreliable as sometimes it would see the laser and most of the time not. LSS in the F16 I think is not implemented yet after all.

Ok we were trying LSS, looking at same target but nothing picked up. First time we tried it so maybe we just got it wrong. Thanks for the advice though we will have another try later.

Yeah we always leave 1688 but could never get LSS to find each other’s. Wondering if anyone has actually done it and confirms it’s working with f16. No you tube vids or anything I could see yet

Does buddy lasing work between the F16 & F18, friend and I tried it a while ago and couldn’t get it to work but very likely we did something wrong. Going to try later again unless it’s currently not working. I’d appreciate any info

[RESOLVED]severe pitch & roll/yaw oscillations at high IAS

Usually between 400-430 Kts IAS my F16 will oscillate severally in pitch. If I look at the stabilizer it is fluctuating up and down rapidly. Outside of this airspeed window it stops. I always have bombs and cat 111 switch set. Any ideas? Not experienced any problem with yaw. -
Not the best, not the worst :) loving the Viper though, it’s awesome to finally have it in DCS.

Glad I’m not the only one experiencing this. Thought I was doing something wrong, hopefully a fix in the works then.

Same, they reappear on the wings but not in the stores page where quantities stay 0. Have to land and rearm for it to work. -

Hi there, Exactly this problem in sunny Dubai too, hope it’s just a case of servers being busy. All I did was change stable to OB overnight then connection timed out and now couldn’t connect.

Hey thanks for the suggestion, Just tried it and yes very occasionally I can get a lock which is certainly progress. It does seem very inconsistent though even with targets that standout very clearly. I will try again later.

Hi guys, Does this still work in stable 2.5? I am following all the steps but the mavs will not acquire a lock. I have IMRV uncaged looking at tanks in sync with the TP but the crosshairs will not close allowing me to fire, no matter how close I get. If a press SSF to recycle IMRV I loose the TP but can then fire a Mav. My steps.... Select Mav AGM D (IMRV) from stores, mavs are RDY Uncage ( HUD shows IMRV U) SSF to select IMRV on L mcdu Switch on TP, find target ie Tank at which point I get Point track. Mav crosshairs on target, attempt to lock by moving TDC but it never will. Can you see anything I'm missing here?

[MERGED] Normandy Map and WWII ASSETS, Not in Module Manager

Same problem for me. I downloaded both Normandy and the asset pack via the command window. Asset pack asked for licence when I started DCS, Normandy did not and now just endless loading screens due to missing files. Tried a repair, update and re download of Normandy and the asset pack but cannot make any further progress at this point. -
Firstly I'd like to acknowledge a warn symbol in my profile. If the tone of a post or the content of that post has upset somebody or broken forum rules I apologise. VinnieJones, I've not noticed the shadow, I'm going to look for that later. Personally I like the Spit prop at lower RPM and how the blade angle is seen in external views but do agree with jafa's post regarding light and glimmer, perhaps if the Spit got toned down and the P51 up then it would be a good compromise. Hopefully a fix will come. My experience flying 2,3 and 4 blade props made from different materials, colours and with different markings all influence the view out of the front window.

Well thanks for the correction, I guess 19 years of flying real aircraft is not good enough to know what a propeller looks like...... The point is the propeller on the P51 needs updating, it used to be ok but I think an update changed it, many further updates have come since but it's not been corrected either for light, glimmer or anything else that it might be down to. Yes the Spit prop is a bit excessive l'll consent to that but I still like it.

Can we please have a propeller back sooner rather than later? The spit prop looks awesome and the mustang looks........ missing! I just do not want to fly it without the prop animations, it's an immersion killer.

You have done a few aircraft for those sims including the A-1 Skyraider :thumbup: I'd enjoy any Vietnam era aircraft created by Razbam though........
