  1. Kuky. My suggestion is as a "Stop Gap" only that could be implelmented in Black Shark as opposed to a total rewrite of the code which could be tears away.
  2. Aparently the f15 is acurate at low slow speeds and Im very happy to strike that one from the list. If G-Toloerances are raised slightly then guns fights between su27 and F15 would be much better.
  3. Thanks GG. I knew i could count on you. Here is what I wrote as a reply to a request made by someone fairly high up in the TFC food chain. Nothing classified here and just possibly is what is being referred to.
  4. Not only that but why should only a few know? Better everyone knows about it.
  5. Come to Hyperlobby. 169th Dedicated is for New Guys and Veterans alike. Please Read the Brief First. by the Way we Fly lock On 1.12a Flaming Cliffs. You can purchase it here
  6. Welcome to Flaming Cliffs Skarden Stands to Attention! Salutes Smartly!
  7. whatever shakes your tail feather
  8. It does on my server :book: The Brief
  9. Well I wouldnt worry about it too much. Everyone is doing it. Read Brief
  10. Im shakin in my rudder pedals now. Good reply Pilot as usual.
  11. Thought this was interesting.. from here Proximity fuses can be a cause of grief to missileers as they hinder tracking of low level targets, often triggering off terrain, buildings or ship masts (and almost certainly represent the cause of most of the bomb damage sustained by Tripoli and Benghazi last April...). Short-range AAMs have lethal radii of the order of 20-30ft, whereas large SAMs of the order of 150ft
  12. Yes janes F18 was hacked and Janes F15. The rest i wont get dragged into. I will respond on one other thing. Whether I choose to play LockOn online as a game for competition or as a sim for realism thats my business and well within the laws of "fair play". What someone else chooses to do or considers realistic is their business.
  13. I think I get the jist of what you are saying.. Well Part of it. And I agree. I like to think of Lomac as a sim but I also understand that it will never perfectly represent Real Life. I believe there's a middle ground with Lock On. Im one of those who makes the most of what I have. I never yearn over a patch or theorise on how much better its going to make a sim. Or like some do with Sims\Games that arent even close to release, fantasise how unbelievably fantastic it will be when they are. You only set yourself up to be let down. Sure Id like to see rolling seas and turbulence online. more realistic radars, the list goes on. Whilst it isnt there I will fly below 10 metres if it gets me closer to the target. Why? because I can and it takes practice and a little bit of skill. not to mention I get 4000 points when I take out that Ticonderoga  My suggestion is rather than whinge about it. Do something about it just like the 504 did yesterday. It might involve tactics that arent in a textbook. but hey!. the beauty of LockOn online more so than the "simulation" IMO is the online competition. Someone comes up with a new tactic. come up with another that will beat it. We should be thankful that after 4 years, no one has yet managed to hack the code like they did janes sims.
  14. Thanks Skarden. Put in the post today
  15. So did I. Allways love a challenge. Being outnumbered and outgunned is the only way to fly.
  16. Food for thought.. Low Flying French Fighters
  17. I really ddont know what all the fuss is about. IR missiles work just fine and so do cannon. Change your tactics. Its like anything in the sim thats not perfect. You arent going to stop people from doing it. You'll just have to use different tactics to counter it. flying under 10m does not make you invincible. I assure you there are some players who dont have a problem shooting a non evading sub-10m su33
  18. It makes sence to me. Water would be like a roughened piece of glass and radar reflections would be scattered all over the place when flying that low.
  19. The problem is not the missiles as such. Its the perfectly flat seas. However on the other hand if the seas were choppy or a bit swelly (wouldnt get a swell in the Black Sea) Im sure the clutter effect would be higher. This debate has been had in the past and it was basically agreed that under 10m radar missiles would find it difficult or impossible to track a target. Maybe now we'll see more F15's carrying something other than just slammers. Cool-T may have to revise his tactics as well :smilewink:
  20. I dont see what the "community desires" has got to do with how many RAAF missions I've flown? The "community" does not need to be dictated to by anyone. I think we will find most of us are giving an "opinion". Thats what poles are. A measure of the "communitys opinion". GG's post comes across as Laying down the law. Not an opinion. I felt it necessary to help clarify that everyones post here is just that. An opinion.
  21. In your Opinion :music_whistling:
  22. I think there's one more that should be added. Increase G Tolerances for Pilots. Out of what we have there I would have to say IFF For F15 has the most impact on overall gameplay.
  23. The 169th is currently accepting applicants. However we arent everyones cup-o-tea and no doubt my post here will get some interesting replies. Anyway if you do you start as a cadet (169cdt_Callsign) Once we think your skilled enough and youve passed your carrier quals you get your wings. To apply simply come fly with us on the Dedicated server and join our Teamspeak To anyone willing to give it a try. I wish you the best of luck.
  24. Here you go :pilotfly:
