I aim to roll out on centreline at exactly 0.6nm which is 15-18 seconds in the groove. The VFA-113 LSO mission triggers the “3/4 mile” voice at this point. For glideslope my workflow is: At the 180 - 600 feet At the 90 - 450ish feet At the 45 - put the FPM circle on top of the ILS horizontal line Rollout on centerline- 300ish feet The ball is easily visible in VR from here on in so I use that for glideslope. It may be tough for some to see but if you can see it at the start and it’s not red you’re doing OK!

The director Joseph Kosinski is amazing and Tom really puts his whole body on the line for his films. Im at work so am waiting to get home to watch the trailer with a big screen and sound! Hi and thanks Savvy! The white flash is a very minor annoyance, it’s unusual and I’m interested to see what the fix will be but honestly it’s just an odd quirk that happens every now and then. It doesn’t ruin the experience for me in any way. It seems every new product has the negative voices loudly proclaiming everything a disaster, I am just trying to show the real experience and give my honest feedback.

Updated first post with a follow on video about Rift S.. Sry mistake in video had to fix, repost soon. On the subject of controllers I expect they will be a lot better with the RIFT S tracking in my cockpit so I will have to check that out! The immersion killing aspect was more when you have problems, as I mentioned my physical gear lever not matching the ingame position.

Hi guys, as you’re aware VFA-113 have been making PLAT cam movies for many years. Every now and then ED update the sim and it might hamper an aspect of what we do but it’s normally for a good reason. The “Bad TV” effect caused me a lot of problem and I had to pay for help to get it fully resolved so we can all enjoy clear PLAT and Nealius could put out his Stennis view pack. Fixing the FOV zoom for us is actually a great move as it standardises the view zoom for everyone. This makes our grading boxes an absolute and saves me a lot of time. I haven’t seen any evidence but it is my hope that the new Aircraft Carrier will offer a much more enhanced selection of views over the standard LALT+F9 view. VFA-113 has already adapted to the new change and I’ll release our updated overlay/PLAT cam & LSO mission soon. Please be patient, and supportive of ED. They are currently working hard to make carrier ops even more amazing and they should feel encouraged by us.
