Anybody noticed the mission called "Battle Command"? It's really interesting to guide these tanks and artillery it works just like here: Is this feature about to be deleted or will it be included in the release?

In switzerland you can fly in Hawker Hunter or Mirage III but it's also around 12'000 $ But I once read half of this is already fuel cost so you probably won't get it cheaper somewhere... Are there any alternatives to Logitechs profiler for the G940? I recently bought it, to replace my X52 with a FFB controller, but then I was shocked to see that Logitechs Profiler still looks (and works!, or better doesn't works) the same way it did ages ago when I used a Logitech Etreme 3d Pro... Since I own FC2, I began to experiment with Saiteks Profiler and realized that is was very simple to use, so I was thinking if there is something similar around to use with G940. My problems are the following: I can't configure a profile for each aircraft as easy as before (minor issue), AND every time I press RALT key it "detects" LCTRL+RALT+whatever and then I have to export it to an XML file, which is really not that funny to modify, then I fix it and import it back... Despite this crappy profiler and the "not-yet-working" leds it would be a lovely thing :doh: PS: why does it shows a red/black "W" in the taskbar? because it was developped for the old wingman series?? Just my guess

Well, you can release air or nitrogen wherever you want to... but try dump some hydro liquid (very hot oil at 190Mpa) if you have a problem. Gas may damage your ear or so, but imagine a stream of boiling oil coming against you :helpsmilie: If you have some sort of malfunction (e.g. overpressure inside canopy opening sys) then you can just let of some gas over a valve, at least that's how it's handled in "normal" engineering, so hydraulics are not used until you really need high forces, which are to big to handle by pneumatics.

It's less complicated (read: cheaper) also because you can release air where and whenever you wan't into the atmosphere but you need a closed circuit with a tank when you're using oil. Also air is always avalaible and compresses itself at high speeds/temperatures (e.g. Ramjet). But I don't get it why they're using Nitrogen... Note: If you're using Win7, you can use your calculator to convert pressure, lentgh... units (win-key+r, type calc and hit enter, switch it to "scientific" via the view menu)

Depending on your card and your driver: Go to Systme Control (sry I have a german Windows version, I don't know how it's really called) -Hardware&Sound -and there might be something like "NVIDIA System Tools" choose "Physx" on the left side (3d settings), activate it and try if improves your FPS in FC2 or Black Shark

Guys, Guys, Guys! Remember: The cold war is over! Who needs a shitty stealth plane to beat some fools with long beards? How is it possible that both "sides" failed to beat the mentioned "fools" within 10 years each? All of them need to remove the dust from the past 60-70 years out of their minds, if not we'll have real problems. Here's my "problem": I was flying over or through (I can't remember) a cloud in FC2 and then the buildings were visible through it. It was the F-15 quick mission I was flying, so you know the wheater pattern... As soon as I was underneath this cloud all looked normal again, green ground and correct display of all the scenery. Is it just a limitation of the graphic engine or do I have to switch something in my settings? If you need further information I can post the dxdiag, a screen of my settings or whatever you like, just tell (whatever you like? well maybe not that much :doh:) Well have a look at this Screenshot:

I used the SST software in a serious way (not just experimenting) for the 1st time today because I wasn't able to use the Ingame Settings in FC2... I don't know if it helps but I learned this today: You have to press exactly the same buttons in the same order in your profiler as you would do it on the keyboard. In my case: Eject (Ctr[lleft] + E, 3 times) on the Button "POV Hat 2: UP" In the empty cell I entered the following to get it working: CTRL and then E, releasing E and then releasing CTRL. It looked like before inside the preview cell but this time it was also doing what I intended :glare: I really hope it helps to you because I can understand how it is to mess around a full day just to assign the buttons in the F-15C :cry:

Well, does anyone of you guys (maybe some veterans) know something about this topic? I read about the US goverment supporting the mujahideen with various equipment also some Stinger and Strela rocket launchers back in the 80s when the soviet union was at war with them. Those rockets were a huge problem for the russian helos e.g. Mi-24 attack helicopters... Is this problem still existing? I mean for the NATO troops down there at the moment or are there just a few/no rockets around? Do you still have to watch out for enemy SAM rockets on every flight or are these times over nowadays?

Yes, I see: I knew this rate before but if you calculate it for 150 rounds.... but comparing it to the M61 vulcan with its 6000/6600 rpm, it really is just slow
