That should be clear to you, it's normal when buying it over steam, that's something ED can't change... BTW the Cockpit shadows are really nice! Love them

Anyone knows what happened to this Mirage 2000? http://www.defense.gov/photoessays/PhotoEssaySS.aspx?ID=2235

I was very close to sit into the MiG-29M OVT :shocking: but my russian wasn't good enough... I asked him to take a pic but he dind't want me to take pictures of the cockpit, but I'm pretty sure that he would have let me sit in, if I put the camera away... so I stayed on the ground but: still a nice feeling

Correct, you can take pictures or videos of whatever you wan't too... The 9000RUB ticket is a special tribune on the opposite of the crowd Like this one on airliners.net http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/7/4/1/1015147.jpg btw: It is impossible to smuggle anything to the airshow, I haven't seen such strict conrols at an entrance ever before. They wanted me to shoot a picture and show them and they checked if my watch is working...

Right on Moldova (poorest country in Europe btw...) Wrong it's not the only one. And "Black-market" hm, I guess it's more like the "MiGs for food-program" At Nellis AFB there's something they call "Petting Zoo" there's a lot of Soviet/Russian hardware around. (Like SAMs, radars etc.) 36°13'51.21"N 115° 3'4.73"W Check it with Google Earth and see it yourself: There is a MiG-29 (green camo, with it's Moldovan Markings removed) standing at the gate... Hm, seems like it has been moved now, the newest pictures (5/29/2010) show it at: 36°13'39.32"N 115° 3'37.54"W And at NAS Fallon there's another one: http://pilot.strizhi.info/photos/v/NAS+Fallon/ Former Moldovan AF too (Попал в Америку из Молдавии-Came to America from Moldova) But I am sure they tested what they wanted to test after they received it, just like germany did with the former NVA (GDR AF) aircraft :joystick:

BANG http://www.aviasalon.com/en/news/item/news_id-180.htm PAK-FA demonstration @MAKS 2011 and the A380 will make it's debut at MAKS too, I already saw it at Berlin and Paris airshows and it will surprise me again how quiet and manouvrable this huge bird is. http://www.aviasalon.com/en/news/item/news_id-187.htm

Where are the cannons of these aircraft?
mig29movt replied to VVanks's topic in Military and Aviation
I don't think the UM "Mongol-B" has a gun it's a 2-seater training aircraft, there's a polish one in my area and I couldn't see its gun when I searched it... I think I once even read that it hasn't one... -
I think it will be there on static display, I doubt they already present it with a demo flight... But still: PAK-FA  1st time being presented to the world (I do HOPE so! )

Simply beautiful...

Great News from MAKS 2011: http://www.aviasalon.com/en/news/item/news_id-173.htm What's nicer then MiGs and Tupolevs standing next to F-16s and B-52s? :cheer3nc: Friday (19th) till Sunday (21st) are the public visitor days. I recommend Friday, there are not that much people and in the evening it's pretty easy to get closer to the planes. (and helos of course) BTW: in (2009)

OSB 11 (I think...), well on the lower of the display there are 5 buttons, normally it's the button far on the right.

For those who still didn't get it: MUST READ  Especially when it comes to point 1.7! Guess why: Endless wars between users and/or nationalities, rude behaviour when it comes to "ontopic" questions by certain users etc. etc. etc... Try to keep this (and other) informative threads running because they are gold mines comparing to the ordinary media and look at the stuff much wider in general and deeper when it comes to aviation and military related stuff

For FSX: http://secure.simmarket.com/aerosoftflylogic-switzerland-professional-x.phtml It's nice but definately not worth 200 bucks... MANPADS would b a real pain in the ***

Same here: I saw one landing (probably Aviano) with a Travel pod.

We're doing the same in Switzerland just with dynamite and not artillery cannoncs^^ Most of the time it's done by throwing the explosives out of a helicopter but there are alos a few gun-like machines around in the bigger ski-arenas (like Zermatt if you know it).

Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, that area and Nellis?? What about something which isn't flat and desert?

What?? Arma? Buggy? Well, I felt that after the 16th patch the game was getting 0.5-1% better. Seriously: If you were participating in the Open-beta testing of DCS A-10, you can honestly say that some of the betas were really buggy but the release version doesn't have more or less bugs than DCS: BS or FC2 has or had... And with the new patch releasing tactic, that is about to improve a lot faster than before!

US Navy ships left Norfolk (VA?) on Wednesday (23/03/11) towards Lybia. According to the Pentagons News Channel (thx mvsgas  ) the USS Whidbey Island, USS Mesa Verde and USS Bataan were deployed.

Al Jazeera reported that the US confirms french forces shot down a Libyan fighter jet... Really confusing again. Seems that today a lot was done. It's also reported that french jets attacked military facilities very deep in Libya (Sabha, there are even some of the MiG-25 which are mentioned on Wikipedia! check 26°59'2.00"N 14°27'32.18"E in Google Earth)
